History reveal to us evidently that greater percentage of prominent figure in all fields of human endeavors rose up very early in life, most especially when they are Teenagers.

Bill Gates was in His teenage years when he made the profound discovery in the world of computer. David was a teenager when he recorded his giant stride victory against Goliath. Joseph caught the vision of greatness while he was still a teenager. To mention but a few.

In politics, in leadership, in religious, in academics, in media and entertainment, in economy, and all fields of life, it is quiet appealing to see young ones exceeding greatly therein.

How do they rise at this early stage to such a significant and prominent platform of achievement?

These are vision of Teenager Summit we do hold every year at First Baptist Church, Tede: _Educating young ones with essential knowledge in order for them to develop success mentality right from their young age._

This year own, being the fifth of its kind is going to be another memorable one. As we will be having a prominent early riser from among the sons of the soil. Engr. Dr. Adewale Adewoyin, he will be exposing us to his own journey of success, how he grow on the rock, and eventually rise above all odds.

Teenagers across Oke-Ogun area are powerfully welcome to this year edition and their lives will be tremendously blessed!

*Topic:* *What are you alive for?*
*Anchor Text : Phillipians1:21- "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain"*

*Thought for the day*
*For a person to live in sin, stay disconnected from the presence of God and feel normal is a disaster about to happen.*

Note this;
Abraham without a doubt existed in his days as a generational blessing.
Abraham secret was that he was alive for only one thing and one person and that is *JEHOVAH ELSHADDIA*
He refuse to give glory to any man for the blessings. Inorder to exist as a generational blessing there are questions for us to answer and if we can answer them correctly then our blessing in this generation cannot be contested and in eternity it is confirmed.

*The questions are* ;
*1.What are you alive for?*
*If it is not Christ, then there is no need to be alive.When your time to depart comes and you are no longer alive what will be the implications of your absence*

*2. Who is the strength of your* *confidence in life?*
*Some people trust in these worldly things like beauty, certificates, spiritual activities and finances.*

*3. What drives you?*
*What can be called your greatest passion on earth, to make money or to make impact Is it to please God or please yourself or please others.*

*4. What gives you your greatest pleasure in life?*

*To be without prayer, study of the word, praying in the spirit and worship and still feel normal is a challenge, it is like a man satisfied without oxygen.*
*Live in eternity in mind and you will be a generational asset to your generation and to the kingdom of God.*

*16th Saturday, October 2020*

*Topic: Deciding and stretching to reach your destiny.*
*Anchor text: Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.*
*2 Kings 4:35*

*Thought for the day: You may not reach your destiny unit you stretch your potential. It has been confirmed that decision, especially the decision to stretch to yourself is key to destination; decision determines destiny.*

Take a look at this illustration, A energetic young man may have the ability to do only ten push-ups at a stretch without getting tired when he us not under stress. But if he decides to join the military and go for military recruitment training, a military officer may ask him to do many more numbers of push ups as part of requirements for the recruitment.
After just 15 push-ups, he may get tired and decide to relax. The military officers would shout at him and threaten to send him home if he failed to do up to 50 push-ups and above. Now by the time this young man realises the circumstances he finds himself, even though the body could no longer carry him to do the push- up, his mind will continue the push- up. He wouldn't be aware if how his body moves up and down. In fact he wouldn't know when he hits the require push-up mark.

Now this is what happened: his mind was adjusted by the information he got and his body simply complied with it.

Understand this: The capacity of the human mind is infinite. But you cannot get the best of the mind until you force it by stretching it to work. You may not reach your destiny until you stretch your potential.

*ASSIGNMENT*
🌲 *Remember to stretch yourself in order to reach your destiny.*

*Topic: The mind - A key to possibility*
*Anchor text: Proverbs 23:7 - For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink: saith He to thee but his heart is not with thee.*

*Thought for the day: When the mind is made up; anything is possible.*

Many years ago, A man of God had a programme at Kogi state University, Anyigba, Kogj State, Nigeria. And in the program, He was supposed to preach in the evening on Tuesday, morning and evening, on Wednesday and Thursday.

Now, He had a very hectic schedule the previous week. And on Tuesday which the programme at Anyigba was to kick off, After He had ministered in their weekly Tueday service in Abuja which ended at 2pm that day, He thought of how he can spend an average of four hours on the road from Abuja to Kogi State. He imagined how rougg the road was. Then His body told him to reschedule the meeting. So, he picked up His phone and called the Pastor in Anyigba that He would be coming for the programme the next day that someone else should stand in His place to preach that Tuesday evening. He told the Pastor how he had an hectic schedule the previous week and that he needed a little rest that day. The pastor said, Alright sir. So we will be expecting you tomorrow sir. Then the man of God asked him how everything was going and He said everything is fine. People have been coming to the venue of the programme since noon. The hall is jammed with a lot of people.

Hearing this, strength was gathered for Him and He headed to Kogi State from Abuja

• *Make up your mind on any good things you want to do and do it*

• *Refuse to be tempted to give up on what you have decided to do.*

*14th October, Wednesday 2020*

*Topic: Therapies for lack of self control*
*Text: Galatian 5:16 This I say then, walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.*

*Thought for the day: When you walk consistently in the spirit, it is difficult to fulfill the lust of the flesh.*

It is important to deal with lack of self control in order to have guaranteed fulfillment of life and destiny.

Today, I will give you three therapies for the lack of self control.

*1. Absolutely surrender yourself to the control of the Holy spirit*

Ask the Holy spirit to take care of your life. Ask Him to empower your will so you can do the right things that you want to do. Walking in the spirit is the secret of dealing with the flesh. *(Galatian 5:16)* When you walk in the spirit, It is difficult to fulfill the lust If the flesh.

*2. You must learn to say 'No'* *to the Flesh (Luke 9:23)*

Learn to make yourself do right things that you want to do. Whebrhe mind us made to up anything is possible. There is always away when there is will.

*3. Surround your life with disciplined people.*

Let serious minded people be your friends. Surround your life with disciplined people *( Proverbs 27:17)*

If you are surrounded with un serious and undisciplined people, your life will move in that direction. Association with one undisciplined person can change your life negatively.

*BELOVED*
*Don't associate yourself with people who lack self control.*

*ASSIGNMENT*
*1. Make up your mind to walk in the spirit.*
*2. Say* *'NO'* *to the flesh always.*
*3. Surrounf your life with disciplined people.*

*PRAYER*
*Thank You Lord for showing the secrets of control over flesh.* *I receive your grace to walk in the Spirit, Supress the flesh and surround myself with disciplined people in Jesus Name.* *Amen.*

*Text: Romans 7:18-20 - For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:* *for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not; For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do;* *Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.*

*Thought for the day: When the flesh rules your life, the future is not guaranteed.*

Today we shall consider facts on self control.

☑️ *If your flesh does not respect your will, there is nothing that will respect your life (Romans 8: 12-13)*
As a child of God, you may have made the decision not to sleep until a certain time of the night, so you can be awake and pray, but you usually find yourself unable to do that because of flesh.

Beloved, the facts is that if your own life cannot respect choices, there is nothing on earth that will respect you.

☑️ *It is the strength if your will that undergirds the strength of your destiny. *(Dueteronomy 30:9)*

Those who have destinies have strong decision power.

Anyone who is controlled by the flesh is under the spell of the failure. When the flesh rules your life, the future is not guaranteed.

*Never allow your life to be subjected to the dictates of the flesh.*

*ASSIGNMENT*
☑️ *Refuse to be controlled by your flesh; rather control your flesh.*

☑️ *Ask for the grace to do the right thing consistently.*

☑️ *Ask for the help of the Holy Spirit to maintain a life of discipline and self control.*

*PRAYER*
*Lord, I receive the grace to discipline the flesh.* *Help me to do the right things that I want to do, so I can fulfill Your Plan and Purpose for my life in Jesus Name*

*13th Monday, October 2020*

*Topic: The place of discipline and self control in Destiny fulfillment.*
*Anchor text: Genesis 25:34 -Then Jacob gave Esau bread pottage of lentiles, and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went His way: thus Esau despised His birthright.*

*Thought for the day: There is no destiny where discipline is lacking.*

Destiny thrives in an atmosphere of discipline and self control. That is why the lack of self-control is an enemy of destiny. A life without self control is a life where everything goes.
People who lack self control have no power to do want they want to do. Indiscipline renders people uselesss.

*I will like you to take note the following key thoughts on discipline and self-control.*

💯 *There can be no destiny without discipline.*

Esau sold his birth right to his brother, Jacob for a morsel of meal because of indiscipline (Genesis 25:30-34). Esau had no discipline and so, had no destiny. There is no destiny where discipline is lacking.

💯 *If you cannot control yourself, you can never control your destiny (Hebrews 12: 16-17)*

If you cannot control yourself, you cannot control your destiny also. If you can not control yourself when it has to do with anger, the opposite s*x, food, sleep e.t.c you cannot control your destiny also. Until you can change yourself, there is nothing you can change.

💯 *Self-control is a product of mind control.*

If you cannot control what goes into your mind, you will never be able to control what flows through your life. And if you cannot control what flows through your life, you will never be able to control your destiny. Self-control is a product of mind control. *(Proverb 4:23)*

*COUNSEL*
*Make up your mind to live a lifestyle of self control and discipline.*

*ASSIGNMENT*

💯 *Refuse for your destiny to be ruined because of pleasure like Esau.* *(Genesis 25:30)*

💯 *Make up your mind to live a life of self control and discipline.*

💯 *Bring your *flesh* *under* *subjection and say* *No* *to flesh*

*PRAYER*
*Lord, thank you for showing me the place of discipline in fulfilling destiny.* *I receive the grace to bring my flesh under control, Lord, in Jesus Name.*

*8th October, Thursday 2020*

*Topic: The Satanic confrontation of God's purpose.*
*Anchor text: 1Peter 5:8- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.*

*Thought for the day: knowing that destiny is very crucial, the devil fights it with passion.*

In our study today, it is important to look at the confrontation of the devil against the purpose of God in our lives.

Look at this: The devil does not care about what people become in life as long as they do not become what God wants them to be, So knowing that destiny is very crucial, the devil fights il with passion.

Now, one way satan fight God's purpose for your life is through the enemies of purpose. It is important to note that there are deadly enemies that the devil uses to fight destiny and render people useless on earth.

Today many great destinies roam about being rendered destitute in the world by these deadly enemies of destiny. There are many people who would have gone farther in life than their current positions if their lives had not been crippled by these enemies of destiny.

When you look through scriptures, you would see example of great destinies that were crippled by these enemies of destiny. People like Samson, Achan, Gehazi, Judas Iscariotand Queen Vashti were example of those destroyed by the enemies of destiny in the scripture.

*BELOVED*
*You shall never be destroyed by these enemies of destiny. Live to fulfill purpose.*

*ASSIGNMENT*
🎤 *Identify the ways Satan is fighting God's Purpose for your life and deal with him.*

🎤 *Refuse to follow the pathway of people who were destroy by the enemies of destiny.*

*PRAYER*
*Lord Show the ways Satan is fighting your purpose for my life.* *I receive the grace not to do anything outside your purpose in Jesus Name.*

*Topic: The tragedy of fear*
*Anchor text: Job 3:25- For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me*

*Thought for the day: Fear is faith in the wickedness of the devil and doubt in the faithfulness of God, and that equals disaster.*

It has been confirmed that the spirit of fear is a deadly enemy of destiny. The fear of failure, the fear of future, the fear of the unknown, e.t.c, have made many to stop short of their God-ordained destiny. No fearful person can fulfill destiny.

*Now I will like you to take note on the following key thought on fear.*

🌸 *Fear is an invitation to disaster.*

Fear is a magnet of evil just as faith is a magnet of good. *(Job 3:25)*

🌸 *Fear equals faith in wickedness of the devil and doubt in the faithfulness of God.* *(Proverb 1:33)*
When people are afraid, they exercise faith in the wickedness of the devil. When a man is afraid, he had faith but in another direction. That faith says *that devil is so wicked* *l cannot escape His wickedness* At this point, he begins to doubt the faithfulness of God. It us a disaster because you cannot believe in the devil and see good things out of life.

🌸 *Fear paralyzes acceleration (Job 4:14)*

When a person is frozen with fear, the person is unable to move or make progress in life. There can be no meaningful process in the face of fear.

*Please if you want to fulfill destiny, you avoid fear*

*ASSIGNMENT*
🌸 *Refuse to be a victim of fear.*

🌸 *Surrender all your concerns to God.*

🌸 *Build your faith with God in light.*

*PRAYER*
*Oh Lord, I ask that you deliver me from the tragedy of fear.* *Help me to deal with every fear of the unknown and fear of the future. I* *surrender all concerns to you Lord in Jesus name.*

*Topic: Dealing with Disobedience*
*Anchor text: 2Corinthian 10:6- And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.*

*Thought for the day; Never respect anyone enough to agree with them to disobey God.*

Yesterday, we saw that disobedience is a deadly enemy of destiny, we saw that rebellion to God widens the distance between God and man and provokes rebellion against man from earth.

*Now how can you deal with lifestyle of disobedience and rebellion.*

🔥 *Check out areas of disobedience in your life.*.

Ask God to show you areas of Disobedience in your life. This is because there are things in your life you may not see until God shows them to you.
By the revelation of the glory of God, Isaiah saw his filthiness and was able to receive purging from God. And that shifted his ministry to the next level. *(Isaiah 6:1-8)*

So, in checking out areas of disobedience in your life, you pray and ask God to reveal to you the areas of your life where you are disobeying Him without your awareness.

🔥 *Promptly repent from every act of disobedience*

Whenever you discover areas of disobedience in your life, repent promptly if your destiny must be safe guarded. *(Act 3:9)*

🔥 *Never respect anyone enough to agree with them to disobey God.*

There are many people who disobey out of respect for others. This is very bad.
Ananias and Sapphirah respected each other enough to sin against God and the consequences was death. *(Act 5:3-10)*

*Never respect anyone enough to agree with them to disobey God.*

*ASSIGNMENT*
🔥 *Assess your life to find out any area of disobedience to God*

🔥 *Repent promptly of every form of disobedience*

🔥 *Determine to live on Obedience and never respect anyone enough to disobey God.*

*Topic: The lifestyle of Disobedience - An enemy of Destiny*
*Anchor text: 2Corinthian 10:6 - And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when all your obedience is fulfilled.*

*Thought for the day: When your obedience is complete, nothing is permitted to disobey you.*

It has been established that the devil fights God's purpose for your life using some enemies of destiny.

Now, one enemy of destiny is the lifestyle of disobedience. It was disobedience that aborted the destiny of Adam and Eve *(Genesis 3:24)* Every time people agree to disobey God, they have also agreed to abort their destiny.

*Now let me give you three key thought on disobedience.*

✍🏽 *Disobedience to God equals disconnection from destiny.*

The glorious destiny of Adam and Eve was aborted because of their disobedience to God *(Genesis 3:24)* To disobey God is to be disconnected from destiny.

✍🏽 *Disobedience to God equals from God.*

Adam and Eve were driven from the presence of God at the frequency of disobedience. *(Genesis 3:24)* Every time people disobey God, they widen their distance from God; and distance from God equals disaster in Life.

✍🏽 *Rebellion to God provokes rebellion from the earth.*

Adam rebelled against God and the earth also rebelled against him *(Genesis 3:17-18)* Everything rebels against the person who rebels against God. When your obedience is complete, nothing is permitted to disobey you. *(2Corinthians 10:6)*
But when your obedience is not complete, Everything is permitted to rebel against you.

*BELOVED*
*My counsel is, make up your mind to live a lifestyle of obedience.*

*ASSIGNMENT*
✍🏽 *Ask God to deliver you from the lifestyle of disobedience.*
