Text: Deuteronomy 22:1–25
Topic: Death — God’s Provision for Dealing with Sin
Praise the Lord!
Beloved, today we are looking at a very serious but important subject: Death God’s provision for dealing with sin.
When we hear the word death, many people become uncomfortable. Nobody wants to talk about death because it reminds us of the end of earthly life. But as children of God, we must understand that death is not just something to fear; death teaches us about the seriousness of sin, the holiness of God, and the need for redemption.
Our text in Deuteronomy 22:1–25 contains different laws given by God to Israel. Some of these laws dealt with relationships, morality, responsibility, sexual purity, and serious offences.
The message behind these laws is clear:
God takes sin seriously.
Sin is not something we should play with. Sin destroys relationships, damages lives, separates people from God, and ultimately brings death.
The Bible says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
So today, I want us to understand not only the seriousness of sin but also God's provision for dealing with sin.

Things that were once considered wrong are now being celebrated.
People say:
- “Everybody is doing it.”
- “It doesn't matter.”
- “God understands.”
- “It is just a small sin.”
- “I will repent later.”
But I came to encourage somebody today:
Do not take sin lightly!
Sin may look small in the beginning, but its consequences can be very serious.
A little compromise can become a lifestyle.
A little lie can become a habit.
A little bitterness can become hatred.
A little sexual immorality can destroy a destiny.
A little disobedience can take a person away from God's purpose.
Never make peace with what God's purpose
2. GOD IS HOLY AND JUST
