When Jesus, in Matthew 5, instructed his followers to shine their lights before the world he teaching them about the need to influence their world for the glory of God.

This shows us that lasting influence is never passive. You must “let it shine “
We know that our world is in need of God’s light, and we are the ones who have been given the responsibility to shine.

“Influence isn't about having thousands of followers. Sometimes, your greatest influence is the person sitting beside you, your friend, your sibling, your colleague or someone who simply looks up to you.”

“Be the influence that points people to Christ.

“So the question isn't, ‘Do I have influence?’ You do. The question is… what kind of influence are you?”

This month is focused on Influence. As a church we are yielding to the Spirit of God to expose us to what true impact means in the kingdom. What key things we must do to enlarge our dominance and influence our world with the gospel of Christ.

The world is in die need of leadership. Of clarity and purpose. We, as a church, have been enthroned with this grace. We have with us the true resources needed for a wounded world. True wisdom needed for a confused generation and true power needed for an oppressed people.

But how do we take our place? What must we do right to truly influence our world? What does this influence even me and how can we track it?

These and many more we will be unraveling and demonstrating in the month of August.
