**Title: Choose Salvation: Repentance and the Escape from Eternal Damnation**

Dear Reader,

I write to you not as a judge, but as a fellow traveler on this journey called life. We stand at a crossroads, where the choices we make will echo not just through our days on Earth but throughout eternity itself. It is a sobering thought, one that demands our attention and reflection.

Consider for a moment the concept of hell and eternity. Many may dismiss it as mere superstition or myth, but what if it is indeed a reality? What if there exists a place of unending torment, where the flames of regret and anguish consume without mercy? Such a prospect should give us pause, for it is a fate none of us would wish upon even our staunchest adversary.

But here's the crux of the matter: the path to hell is not one marked by grand gestures or overt malevolence. It is often paved with the seemingly mundane choices we make each day—the lies we tell, the hearts we break, the kindnesses we withhold. These actions, though small in themselves, can lead us down a dark and treacherous road if left unchecked.

Yet, there is hope. There is a way out, a path to redemption and salvation. It begins with repentance—a turning away from our sinful ways and a turning towards the light of forgiveness and grace. It is not an easy journey, for it requires humility and a willingness to confront the darkness within ourselves. But it is a journey worth undertaking, for on the other side lies the promise of eternal peace and joy.

You may ask, why should I repent? Why should I change my ways when the pleasures of this world are so alluring? The answer lies in the very nature of our souls—for deep down, we long for something more than fleeting pleasures and temporary satisfactions. We long for a connection with something greater than ourselves, a connection that transcends the boundaries of time and space.

So I urge you, dear reader, to heed the call of your soul and choose the path of repentance and redemption. Do not let pride or stubbornness stand in your way, for the consequences of such folly are too dire to contemplate. Instead, embrace the opportunity for change and transformation, knowing that with each step you take towards the light, you move further away from the darkness of sin and closer to the embrace of divine love.

In the end, the choice is yours to make. Will you continue down the road to perdition, or will you turn towards the light of salvation? The clock is ticking, and the stakes could not be higher. Choose wisely, for your eternal destiny hangs in the balance.

With heartfelt sincerity,

WAITING UPON THE LORD

WAITING UPON THE LORD

Waiting upon the Lord in distress is a practice often emphasized in the Bible as a way to find solace, strength, and guidance in challenging times. The concept of waiting upon the Lord is rooted in the belief that God will intervene and provide deliverance to those who place their trust in Him. In Psalm 27:14, David writes, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." This verse reminds believers to remain steadfast and patient, knowing that God's timing is perfect.

Another verse that highlights the importance of waiting upon the Lord is found in Isaiah 40:31: "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." This verse encourages individuals to place their hope in God, understanding that He will sustain and empower them during difficult seasons.

Waiting upon the Lord doesn't mean being passive or idle. It involves actively seeking God through prayer, reading and meditating on His Word, and cultivating a deeper relationship with Him. It requires surrendering our own agenda and submitting to God's will.

In times of distress, waiting upon the Lord helps us develop patience, faith, and a renewed perspective. It reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, and He is always working behind the scenes for our good. So, let us continually wait upon the Lord, trusting in His unfailing love and confident in His faithfulness to bring us through every trial we face.

On Thursday 5th of September 1985, Papa had a lovely morning, as part of his new schedule at the hospital, Papa Oshoffa woke up, looked after himself, and well dressed with all the trimmings, he put on his wristwatch, his sunglasses, his long gold chain etc. Baba children's with him in the hospital were all very happy, after breakfast he laid back in his bed, he started giving Ebenezer and Edith instructions, though both Ebenezer and Edith did not understand it at that time, the instructions Papa gave them during those last few days of his life on earth will later guide them in taking many decisions after his transition. Among other things, Papa asked his children to call one of his uncle, Olusegun Obasanjo, but the children dissuaded him, he also sent them to then Honorary Evangelist Chris Omeben, one of Papa Oshoffa spiritual children, who was then the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in Zone Two, Lagos. Papa said " MO FE LO SI ILE, EDITH, MO FE LO SI ILE, LO SO FUN OMO MI OMEBEN KO FUN WA LO LOPA TO PO, KI WON MA BA TEWA PA, NITORI ERO YIO PO, MO MA FI ESE KAN YA KETU, MO MA DE ABEOKUTA, SUGBON MO MA LO SIMI SI IMEKO";
MEANING " I WANT TO GO HOME, EDITH I WANT TO GO HOME, GO TELL MY SON OMEBEN TO GIVE US MANY POLICEMEN AS ES**RT SO THAT WE WOULD BE MUCH, I SHALL SHALL STOP BY AT KETU, I WILL GO TO ABEOKUTA, BUT I WOULD GO AND REST IN IMEKO".

Then Edith Oshoffa said to Papa, "TI E BA MA LO SILE, TI ERO BA MA PO, E SE JE KI A LO NI GBOGBO WON MA WA NI IBISE"; MEANING "PAPA, WHY DON'T WE GO ON A WORKING DAY, IF THE CROWN WOULD BE MUCH WHEN YOU GO HOME"; and Papa Oshoffa looked at her, smiled and he said " E JE KI A FI SILE LE BI A TI SE WI" MEANING " LET IT BE HAS HE BEEN SAID.

That evening, Edith Oshoffa left First Shardack Hospital, Ilupeju for CCC MISSION KETU, to report Papa progress to the family and the elders of the church, but before she got to ketu, the elders was waiting for her to come, when she eventually got to ketu, the church elder's asked about Papa Oshoffa health status and the elders also question her that on what authority does she and Ebenezer Oshoffa had to keep Papa Oshoffa away from other family members and the church elder's..

History continues tomorrow..........

WHEN THE GAME IS OVER....WE SHALL ALL RETURN HOME.

A boy was sent by his father to urgently buy him food from a restaurant. On his way going, he was in a hurry because of the urgency of the assignment.

However, on his way back, he passed where his mates were playing football. He slowed down, began to watch the game, gradually slowing down until he finally stopped. He watched for a while and got carried away, he became interested, and indicated his interest in playing, he was invited.

He left the food in the care of some unknown people and entered the field. He forgot the assignment completely and played his heart out. He became the man of the match, dribbled opponents, created chances, scored goals and changed the face of the entire game.

When night came, the owner of the ball picked it up. It was time for everyone to go home; to go back to their parents, the game was over!

It now dawned on the boy after everyone had left that he had actually been sent to buy food by his hungry father. He went to where he kept the food, it had already been eaten by goats and dogs, "but I kept this food with some guys here a moment ago." He said.

He picked the plates, but was no longer happy, all the excitement of the game disappeared, the people clapping for him were all gone, the opponents he was playing against were all gone, the ball itself was gone, time was gone, those selling food were gone, he couldn't buy another!

Regrets took over him, he sluggishly walked home, with tears of sorrow and regrets whilst hiding in the dark.

When people saw him, they asked him why he was crying and hiding in the dark with empty plates! He had left with clean plates full of excitement, but returned with same empty plates, so dirty and stained !

When they asked him "Why he couldn't go home, he said his father will beat him". He knew the implications of a wasted time. So sad, too late.

ASHAMED

Scripture Reading: Genesis 3:7

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

I'm a little ashamed to admit this, but I have a recurring nightmare. In the dream it's always Sunday morning. I stand up in front of the congregation to preach my sermon, and then I realize I don't have any clothes on. None at all. It's a ridiculous dream. And yet, when I wake up, I can vividly remember the feeling I had as I stood naked in front of church. I was ashamed.~~~Priest Rehoboth JP

When Adam and Eve sinned, nothing indicated that things had changed. But Adam and Eve immediately realized a great change had taken place in their hearts. They felt something they had never felt before: ashamed. For the first time, they realized they were naked. It was still just the two of them (a husband and a wife), but even that God-pleasing relationship was tainted with lust. Indeed, everything had changed. The world was a completely different place.

I'm sure you know that feeling, don't you? You don't need silly nightmares to make you ashamed. Choose any area of your life. What memories still turn your face red? What sins from your past still make your stomach churn? What event made you wish you could have disappeared? But the deed was done. Shame was the undeniable sign of your sin.

Adam and Eve sewed fig leaves together, but that didn't take away their shame. We try to make excuses. We pretend it didn't happen. We tell ourselves that everybody's doing it. But it is to no avail. The crushing feeling of shame remains.

What can possibly take that feeling away? Jesus. He once hung naked in front of a crowd of people. Only for Jesus, it wasn't a nightmare. It was real. Stripped and beaten, Jesus hung on a Roman cross. The soldiers and people standing around mocked him. Even his own Father turned his back on him. If you want to think about shame, this is the ultimate example.
