Let us be clear.
The traders did not choose to stay home on Mondays out of laziness or unwillingness.
They were forced into inactivity by insecurity, unrest, and fear for their lives and property.
The question is, have those responsible for causing this disruption been identified and neutralized?
Have the root causes of the insecurity been addressed decisively?
Until these critical issues are resolved, demanding that the people open their shops and expose themselves to danger is reckless and irresponsible.
True leadership involves ensuring the safety and wellbeing of citizens before mandating their return to normal economic activities. Without proper security guarantees, such orders amount to negligence and disregard for human life.
