SHOUT OF JOY - Mummy Adeniyi
September: Our Month of Shout of Joy
THE MESSAGE IN BRIEF
Psalm 118:15 says, "The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacle of the righteous. The right hand of the Lord does valiantly." The word "shout" is plural in this context, meaning we will have many things to shout for joy about this month. The right hand of the Lord is powerful to dash every enemy of our joy in pieces.
WHO CAN SHOUT FOR JOY?
The Redeemed – Those whose sins are washed by the blood of Jesus. Psalm 32:11 says, "Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous."
The Delivered – Those whom God brought out of trouble, sickness, lack, or depression. Psalm 126:2 says, "Our mouths were filled with laughter."
The Faithful – Those who trust in God in the waiting room. Joy is faith in advance. 1 Peter 1:8 says we rejoice with joy unspeakable.
The Worshipper – Those who know God as Father, Provider, and King. Psalm 100:2 says, "Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs."
The Citizen of God's Kingdom – Those who know heaven is their home. Revelation 19:1 says heaven is loud with "Hallelujah."
WHAT CAN STEAL OUR JOY?
Shame – Isaiah 54:4 says, "Fear not, you shall not be put to shame."
Stress – Nehemiah 8:10 says, "The joy of the Lord is your strength."
The devil – He wants you quiet and cold. Resist him.
Holding onto sin – Psalm 51:8 says David lost his joy when he sinned.
Refusing to remember – When we forget God's goodness, we lose our shout.
PRAYER POINTS
Father, restore to me the joy of my salvation.
Father, give me reasons to shout for joy in this month and beyond.
Father, let there be a rain of joy in my life, my home, my family, and the church.
Father, by Your power, I cancel every conspiracy against my joy.
Father, in this month and beyond, I reject every form of sorrow, weeping, and mourning.
Father, in this season of joy, let my joy be full.
DECLARATION
I will not wait for perfect conditions. I will shout in the waiting. I will shout in the battle. I will shout after the victory. Joy is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of God. I am not alone.
THIS SEPTEMBER
Your shout will not be silent. Your mouth will be filled with laughter. Your tongue will be filled with songs of joy. People will say, "The Lord has done great things for them." Shout for joy!
