What a great time we had today in Church!
In service today, Pastor took a trip down a quick recap of our last thursday service where he aptly and sufficiently reminded us that a lay minister must be effective and productive in both his family, career and ministry.

After which he went further and took us more into another part of this series with Emphasis on how a lay minister can serve God effectively.

First a lay minister must have a local church which is his primary place of assignment and where he/serves actively to any capacity God wants him to serve there.

Also a lay minister must be ready and willing to use his skills and influence in service whenever the need arises and he is called upon to serve. He cited an example with Joseph of Arimathea who used his influence to secure Jesus's body for burial after he was crucified.

Again a lay minister must preach the gospel in his work place and also to his work mates as that is a sphere the Lord has given to win souls for the kingdom.
Lastly and importantly, a lay minister must uphold righteous standards, be known as a person of integrity and stand for what is right at all times in the work place.

This and more were all we learnt in church today.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

Today was another great day in God's presence as we celebrated our Pastor's birthday whose life and ministry has blessed greatly.

In today's Special Combined Service, Pastor took us further into the Series, "Understanding Lay Ministry" with specific focus on The Lay Minister and his work. This started with a reminder that as lay ministers our career is not our calling however we must give the best to our Work as though we are working unto the Lord.

A lay minister must work with integrity and build a culture of sincerity and honesty around his work.

Importantly, as a lay minister you must put in the hard work in your craft as hard work makes room for great success in any endeavour. On an instructive note, Pastor warned against procrastination which the lay minister must intentionally deal with ensuring that whatever can be today should not be left till tomorrow.

Also excellence must be the target in our work to exceed expectations and this works by building an excellent mindset and making sure to always keep learning.

Above all the lay minister must not lose focus of the blessing which is God's presence upon us that ensures that we prosper in whatever we lay our hands on and cause us to abound in every good work.

Today's message left us thoroughly blessed and our lives will not remain the same.

We look forward to having you by Thursday.

Happy Birthday in advance, Dad!

It’s a few days to your birthday and we’re celebrating the blessing you are to us.

Thank you for praying for us when we didn’t even know we needed it.

For watching us grow from one level to another and never once losing faith in where God was taking us.

For your large heart of giving your time, your wisdom and your love without holding back.

You’ve shown us what it looks like to live generously and love deeply.

Thank you Dad!

There have been moments we were confused and you preached clarity.

Moments we were afraid and you preached courage.

Moments we were on the verge of giving up and something you said almost casually, became the exact thing that kept us going.

You always come fresh with God’s word to us.
You always leave us full and somehow also hungry for more.
We are so consistently and genuinely refreshed.

In a world full of noise, your voice is one we trust. One we look forward to.
One we are grateful God gave us access to.

Thank you for never treating the privilege of speaking into our lives lightly.

We love you Sir!

Today we continued on the sub topic "what makes you an effective lay Minister" under the series "Understanding Lay Ministry"

We learned that:

- a lay minister who is not available for training will not be good for ministry
- a lay minister must have the right conduct
- a lay minister must have a working family and marriage
- a lay minister must be a loyal follower of his set man
- a lay minister must learn to preach and teach
- a lay minister must be financially committed to the church

You can watch a recap on our YouTube channel "The Exalted Platform Church".

This series is changing our lives and making us effective lay ministers.

Join us this Thursday for mid week service as we continue on this series.

Have a blessed week ahead.

Thank you for always carrying us in your heart and for loving us so patiently and sincerely.

We are truly blessed to have you as our father and shepherd.

Your life continues to bless, shape and inspire us more than words can explain.

Our ongoing series, Understanding Lay Ministry, has been nothing short of eye opening.

We were reminded that we didn’t just receive salvation… we received an assignment. Every believer is a minister, and ministry is part of our destiny in Christ.

This evening, Papa will be going even deeper into these truths, and you don’t want to miss this service.

Come with an open heart. There is so much more to see and understand.

See you in church!

Today was another great moment in church as Pastor unveiled a brand New Series captioned; UNDERSTANDING LAY MINISTRY: THE LAY MINISTER, HIS MINISTRY AND HIS JOB.

Today's message started with Pastor restating a popular and established fact within the church, which is that "every believer is a Minister".

However not every believer is called into full time ministry. Meaning the majority of us as believers will maintain our secular jobs while serving the Lord.

He went ahead to show us examples from the Bible showing us different Bible characters from Apostle Paul, Aquila and Priscilla who were tentmakers and also very effective ministers with Apostle Paul going on to write about two third of the new testament with highly recorded missionary journeys in several places while maintaining his secular job.

Other examples cited from the scriptures included, Luke who was a Physician, Erastus, who was the City Treasurer and Gaius a wealthy business man who hosted a full church in his residence.

Key take aways culled from today's Service are:

- Lay Ministry gives room for all believers to fulfil their ministry without quitting their jobs.

- It helps the believer have financial supply to do life and do ministry.

- Another Important take away from today is that your job is not your ministry but your job is a means through which you can fulfil your ministry.

- Your job opens doors for God to reach people through you within your sphere of influence that a full time Minister may not easily reach out to.

- Also very crucial is that as a lay minister God is giving you an opportunity to share the burden of the Call and the Anointed.

Lastly it's almost certain that 95% of every one reading this is going to be a Lay Minister so begin to see yourself more than what your profession describes you as.

See yourself as a Minister who is a Doctor, Teacher, Business Man, Engineer, Accountant, Tech bro etc.

We look forward to having you on Thursday as we delve deeper into this teaching that lays the foundation for an effective life time of Lay Ministry.

God bless you.
