3. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Renewing of our minds is a must! Renewing our minds means to manage our minds and how we think. If we choose not to manage what we think…what we read…what we watch…what we absorb…then our minds…are “unmanaged”. A mind managed with the Truth of God’s word leads to peace, confidence, reassurance, guidance, tranquility, and security. If we choose to “unmanage” our mind, it leads to pressure, tension, stress, disbelief and ultimately death. The opposite of life is death. WE can be alive but spiritually dead in our minds.

Romans 8:6, “If your sinful nature controls your mind there is death. But if the Holy Spirit controls your minds there is life and peace.”
