Bible Study: The Enemies of a Godly Home
Speaker: Pst. Kingdom
Topic: The Enemies of a Godly Home
Introduction
A godly home does not happen by accident. It is built intentionally by two people who are committed to God, to one another, and to the principles of His Word. However, there are certain attitudes, circumstances, and spiritual forces that can weaken or destroy the peace, unity, love, and spiritual foundation of a home.
Therefore, couples must be able to identify these enemies and deliberately stand against them.
1. Promiscuity and Unfaithfulness
Sexual immorality, adultery, and every form of unfaithfulness are serious sins before God. They destroy trust, introduce emotional wounds, and can create serious division within the home.
When a couple gives room to unfaithfulness and ungodliness, they open the door to consequences that can affect the peace and spiritual atmosphere of the family.
Key lesson: Protect the covenant of your marriage. Be faithful to your spouse and honour God with your body and your relationship.
2. Wrong Belief System and Unrealistic Expectations
One major enemy of a godly home is the belief that everything in marriage must always be rosy and problem-free.
When couples expect a marriage without challenges, every disagreement or difficulty can appear like a sign that the marriage is failing.
A godly home can experience challenges, but couples must learn to face those challenges with prayer, patience, communication, forgiveness, and godly counsel.
Key lesson: Challenges do not necessarily mean the marriage is bad. What matters is how the couple responds to those challenges.
3. Delay in Childbearing
Childbearing can become a source of pressure, especially when couples or their families place unrealistic expectations on one another.
A delay in childbearing should not become a reason for blame, bitterness, rejection, comparison, or division between husband and wife.
Key lesson: Couples should support one another, pray together, seek appropriate counsel when necessary, and continue to trust God.
4. Lack of Communication and Unwillingness to Adjust
Poor communication can create unnecessary misunderstandings in a home. When couples refuse to communicate openly, small issues can grow into major problems.
Marriage also requires adjustment and understanding. Two people from different backgrounds, experiences, and personalities must learn how to live together in love.
Key lesson: Talk to each other, listen to each other, and be willing to make godly adjustments for the peace of the home.
5. Bad and Offensive Character
Certain attitudes can gradually destroy the atmosphere of a home, including:
Anger and uncontrolled temper
Unforgiveness
Suspicion and unnecessary jealousy
Nagging
Impatience
Dirtiness and poor personal hygiene
Gluttony and lack of self-control
Disrespect
Pride and selfishness
Even things that may appear small can become serious sources of conflict when they are continually ignored.
Personal cleanliness also matters. Poor hygiene and unpleasant body odour can negatively affect intimacy, comfort, and the relationship between couples.
Key lesson: Marriage requires continuous character development. We must allow God to work on our attitudes and behaviour.
6. Distance
Distance can become an enemy of marital intimacy when it is prolonged or poorly managed.
Work, career pursuits, business, or other responsibilities may sometimes require couples to spend time apart. However, prolonged separation can create emotional and relational gaps if couples do not intentionally maintain their connection.
1 Corinthians 7:5 highlights the importance of couples not unnecessarily depriving one another of marital companionship.
Key lesson: Where distance is unavoidable, couples must intentionally maintain communication, emotional connection, prayer, and intimacy.
7. Demonic Activities
A godly home is a threat to the kingdom of darkness because it represents God's purpose for marriage and family.
Therefore, couples must understand that some battles may have a spiritual dimension. Ephesians 4:26 warns believers not to allow anger to remain unresolved and give the devil an opportunity.
Unresolved anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, constant quarrelling, and division can create opportunities for spiritual attacks.
Key lesson: Couples must pray together, forgive quickly, guard their hearts, and refuse to give the enemy room to operate in their home.

Conclusion
A godly home must be deliberately protected.
Couples should not wait until problems become unbearable before addressing them. They must identify the enemies of their home and consciously stand against them through prayer, God's Word, communication, forgiveness, faithfulness, understanding, godly counsel, and intentional love.
β€œA godly home is not a home without challenges; it is a home where God is allowed to lead through every challenge.”

Sunday Sermon: 3 People You Should Not Fight
Speaker: Pst. Kingdom
Text: Galatians 1:4; Psalm 91:1
Theme: Knowing the battles that belong to God

*Introduction*

Not every battle deserves our attention. As believers, we must learn to distinguish between battles we are called to fight and battles we must leave in God's hands.
There are people and situations we should never fight with because God Himself is able to defend us. When we remain under God's covering and trust Him, He becomes our defender.
Psalm 91:1 says:
β€œHe that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Galatians 1:4 reminds us that Christ gave Himself to deliver us from the present evil world. Therefore, we are not without protection or divine help.

πŸ–ŠοΈ πŸ–ŠοΈ

3 SET IF PEOPLE YOU SHOULD NOT FIGHT

1. Believers that pray at Night (Acts 15:25)

πŸ–ŠοΈ When it comes to spiritual matters, every man is a suspect

2. Believers that pray long prayer (Luke 18:1, Dan. 6:10)

3. Believers that offer regular and willing Sacrifice (2 Kings 3:26-27)

*Conclusion*
The three people we should not fight are:

* The person who prays at night – Never fight someone who consistently seeks God in prayer. Their strength and victory come from their relationship with God.
* The person who prays long prayers – A person devoted to prayer has built spiritual strength and dependence on God. Fighting such a person means engaging in a battle you may not understand.
* The person who offers regular and willing sacrifices – Never fight someone who continually sacrifices their time, resources, comfort, and service for God's work. Their sacrifices speak before God and can attract divine intervention.

In conclusion: Be careful whom you fight. A praying and sacrificial believer is not standing aloneβ€”God is their defender.

*First Sunday of August 2026 Sermon Summary*

Speaker: Pst. Kingdom
Topic: Attaining Perfection
Text: Matthew 5:48, 2 Peter 3:18, Ephesians 4:14–15, 1Pet. 2:2

The first Sunday of the Month of Divine Perfection was marked by a powerful and inspiring message delivered by Pst. Kingdom on the topic "Attaining Perfection."

Drawing from Matthew 5:48, the Pastor emphasized God's call for every believer to pursue spiritual maturity and Christ-like character. Perfection is not about being flawless but about continually growing in obedience, holiness, and love through the help of the Holy Spirit.

From 2 Peter 3:18, we were reminded that attaining perfection is a continuous journey of growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Every believer is expected to make steady progress in faith, wisdom, and spiritual understanding.

Using Ephesians 4:14–15, the church was encouraged not to remain spiritual infants who are easily influenced by every doctrine, but to mature in Christ by speaking the truth in love and becoming firmly rooted in God's Word.

Lessons

- God desires every believer to attain spiritual maturity.
- Perfection is achieved through daily growth in Christ.
- A mature believer is grounded in God's Word and not easily deceived.

Children's Birthday Song Presentation

One of the most heartwarming moments of the celebration was when the children joyfully came forward to sing a special birthday song in honour of our beloved Bishop on his 65th Birthday Anniversary.

With smiles on their faces and love in their hearts, their melodious voices filled the atmosphere with joy, appreciation, and heartfelt prayers. Their presentation was a beautiful expression of gratitude for a father, mentor, and shepherd whose life continues to inspire both the young and the old.

May the love shared through these precious children bring renewed strength, greater joy, and abundant blessings to our Bishop. May God continue to preserve him, increase him in wisdom, and grant him many more years of fruitful service to His Kingdom.
