Dear brothers and sisters, I urge you not to let the side attraction of this years' convention take your gaze away from the core message.

It is tagged "GROW UP" for a reason and the question is;

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO GROW UP FROM OR GROW INTO?

Is it from Grace to great and greater Grace?
from Joy to Unspeakable Joy?
from a few Blessings to innumerable Blessings?
from an ocasional Testimony giver to an ardent Testifier?
from Speaking in tongues to Praying, Worshipping and Interpreting tongues?
from Understanding scriptures to hearing directly from God?
from that your Small scale business to a Large scale level?
from being a Baby in Christ feeding on milk to attaining maturity and breaking bones?

Or

do you want to advance from Pocket picking to an hard-on gunslingling robber?
from raining Insults and Abuses to curses and murder with your mouth?
from petty Lying to having no truth in you?
from Fornication to Adultery?
from a Street guy/gal with rep. to a street father or area mother?
from Selfishness to being Loveless?
from an unchecked and ill managed Ego to full blown Pride?

Dear friends Galatians 5:19-23 says

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Question is; WHICH WILL YOU GROW UP FROM OR INTO?

Prayer doesn’t have to be a matter of a month-long retreat or even an hour of meditation. Prayer is a conversation with God while driving to work or awaiting an appointment or before interacting with a client. Don’t think for a minute that he is glaring at you from a distance with crossed arms and a scowl, waiting for you to get your prayer life together…just the opposite.
Jesus said, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you, and you will eat with me” (Revelation 3:20 NCV). Jesus waits on the porch for you to open the door. And the happy welcome to Jesus is, Come in, O King. Come in. We speak and He listens. He speaks and we listen. It’s prayer in its purest form. And God changes his people through such moments. Let him change you.

When troubles come our way, we can be stressed and upset, or we can trust God. Scripture says to set your minds and keep them set on what is above…the higher things (Colossians 3:2). When giants are in the land, when doubts swarm your mind, turn your thoughts to God. Your best thoughts are God-thoughts. He is above all this mess!Scripture declares of God, He is “the most High over all the earth” (Psalm 83:18). Later on the same psalmist asks, “Who among the sons of the mighty is like the LORD?” It’s a good question! Pain does not plague God. The economy doesn’t faze him. The weather doesn’t disturb him. Diseases don’t infect him and death cannot claim him.
The apostle Paul says God is “able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). Ponder the holiness of God. Let his splendor stun you, inspire you, and chase your troubles away!
