This boy lost his l!fe because he felt his mother valued that bucket 🪣 more than his life...
“My mummy will beat me… my mummy will beat me if I don’t get my bucket.”
Those were the fearful words that pushed this young boy into a tragic decision that ended his life.
Reports say that while other students were sent out for morning devotion, he and some friends went to a reservoir where his bucket had fallen. Out of fear, he asked his friends to tie a rope around his hands so he could slide into the reservoir and retrieve it. Sadly, the rope snapped under his weight, and he drowned before help could reach him.
So heartbreaking.
So painful.
And sadly, so avoidable.
The painful part is that this young boy probably believed that losing a bucket was worse than facing his mother’s reaction. He may have thought disappointing her was more dangerous than risking his own life. 🤔🤔
Parents, this is a serious reminder for all of us.
Please constantly assure your children that NOTHING is more valuable than their lives. Not a bucket. Not school fees. Not a phone. Not mistakes. Not broken items.
Children should grow up knowing: “No matter what happens, I can always come home and talk to my parents.”
Correct your children, yes. Discipline them, yes. But let them never doubt your love for them. Let them never become so afraid of punishment that they choose danger, silence, or desperate actions instead of speaking up.
And to every child or young person reading this:
No mistake is worth losing your life over.
No punishment lasts forever.
Objects can be replaced. Money can be recovered. But your life cannot be replaced.
Always choose your life first.
Always speak up.
Always ask for help.
A young life full of dreams is gone. 😢
A family has been thrown into unimaginable pain.
May God comfort his parents and grant him eternal rest. 🙏
