Because of David, God promised that His loving kindness would not be utterly taken from his seeds and He'll establish them forever, even though they err and forsake the law of God, He said He will punish them but His faithfulness will not fail.

David was not just a man after God's heart but also a father whose generation is helped because of his dealings with God.

I ask you today...
-What relationship do you have with God?
-What is the covenant and promises you have with God that can sustain your generation?
-What have you secured for them both with God and men?

We were told in camp about a young corp member who entered a one chance vehicle. They made her unconscious and when she gained consciousness, she found herself almost naked with some part of her body already marked to be harvested.

When the harvester came, he asked her if she was a corp member, she replied in the affirmative. He turned around and gave an instruction for her immediate release.

Smile... I hope you are not thinking it's because she was a corp member she was released. 😳

Let me tell you why🤗

Every morning, The FCT State Co-ordinator, Mrs. Winifred Shokpeka leads us to say positive words of affirmation and ends it with powerful prayers for us.

The story above is a proof of the effectiveness of her daily and deliberate actions towards us. Because we are in her territory and under her care, she has adopted us all as her children and has carried the mother's responsibility like her life depends on it. I assume the lady's parent also played key role in this, but even if they didn't, Mummy Winifred's prayers and affirmative words was enough to do the task as God is ever ready to answer when we call on Him.

Please, do this with your children.

Teach them from little to say positive words of affirmation, it builds them. If they are little children, lead them to say it, but as they grow up, encourage them to say it on their own. It'll help them when you are not there 😉

Pray for them. Pray for your children 🙏, don't be quite. Put your hands on their heads, look into their eyes and pour out blessings on them. Thereon, encourage them to pray for themselves and others 🤗

How many of you want life to be as it is in the picture below 👇

It doesn't just happen automatically.

It's starts from you first.

💙 Be an intentional parent.
💙Show and give love to each of your children.
💙Train them softly but firmly.
💙Hold their hands and encouraging them through life challenges with the word of God and wise words.

If you do this, I bet your children will return with what you need for old age.

Parenting is God's way of putting us under pension and strengthening us when He knows we are too weak to do certain things for ourselves 🤗

Do it wisely 😉

A Survival Skill Neglected for too Long!

Yesterday evening came with a rather saddening news of the death of a Nigerian actor popularly known as Jnr Pope.

He got drowned after his boat capsized in water. Hmm...so sad.

Many of us including me doesn't know how to swim. But we would be doing our children a disfavor if we don't teach them to swim.

Swimming is an important survival skill as much as self defense. We've lost lots of people including children to negligence of this aspect. Living in a riverine area shouldn't be the only basis for them to learn to swim.
Some of you may say,
But I don't know how to swim how can I teach them?
Smile.. you can enroll them for swimming classes or get a swimming coach to teach you all.

You may be thinking that you have full control of your children now, but would you always be with them?, Some of them want to try out something new and I bet you, swimming is one of it.

Please, don't let them be handicapped in helping themselves or others when the need arises.

I'm going to learn swimming now🏊🏊🏊

I win you!💃🏼, I win you!💃🏼

As I sat to watch the children play, I saw the joy in them. (By the way, why would you choose not to let your children play??....I hope it's not because you are scared of washing dirty clothes 😂), I'd talk about this another day.

So this little boy of about four years was competing in a race with his teenage elder sister and I watched as they ran repeatedly, to and fro.

One thing I couldn't help but notice was that in all the races the little boy won. Not that he could naturally run faster than his sister but she purposely allowed him to win. You could see the exceeding joy in him as he jumped up and down shouting.., I win you!!, I win you!!!

Do you know what that young girl has done?

She has succeeded in boosting his self confidence and believe in himself.

She has also encouraged him unconsciously not to run from life's challenges no matter how big they seem to appear. (He could have refused to run with her knowing fully well that he won't win.)

Do this when you're engaging in an exercise with children. Every child have an innate potential in them and need to discover and build confidence around it.

This simple method is also good for children struggling with shyness and lack of self-esteem.

Make sure you come back to thank me 😊😁
