When we pray, we often expect God’s power to work on something external, believing that our problems are outside of us. We look forward to seeing His power changing circumstances; yet, in many cases, prayer empowers us to rise above those circumstances.

Prayer releases grace to overcome your current experience. Sometimes prayer is not God changing the situation, it is God changing you. It strengthens you, equips you, and positions you to prevail over what you are facing.

MY LORD and my GOD
One of the most interesting things about our relationship with God is that the more of Him you have, the more of Him you want. That hunger you have for Him is proof that you have Him.

Some believe that true hunger for God is exhibited by giving more, praying more, or adding another day to their fast. But the demonstration of that hunger is when you search for more of His word.

Pursue His word, and what you find is Him.
