Dealing With Evil Patterns Series (1)
Are you eating to satisfy an emotional need?
Are you addicted to s*x or po*******hy?
Are you obsessed with men or women?
Do you lack the will power to make the right decisions?
Are you stuck in generational errors?
Do you find yourself gobbling down food unconsciously?
Everything is learned and can be unlearnt. All negative emotions such as anger and yelling get reinforced with use.
You can consistently reproduce a behavior once you have a label for what you do. These are often linked to our internal representations of life. Your meaning is what empowers or disempowers you. By changing the meaning of your experiences, you can change your outcome.
Sometimes people overindulge in certain behaviors like overeating and whip themselves into an emotional frenzy afterward. This can be traced to the language you are using consistently.
We can't always make the changes because some hidden part of us believe that the behavior is good for us. For example, sleeping around with men on campus, partying or spending recklessly to your detriment to prove your independence.
If your parents hounded you about eating too much or about boys, you might eat more or mess around with your body as proof of your independence. Since Independence is a good thing, you continue to overeat to maintain your freedom. These subconscious beliefs, which date back to childhood, still dictate our actions, often against our conscious will.
So you discover that the wayward girl, the pl***oy or obese man is simply seeking love or freedom! By changing your choice of words, vocabulary, meanings, associations, thoughts, and physiology, you can take control of your labeling process and by so doing transform your reality and outcomes.
