A consistent prayer life will always cost you something, because the flesh will always resist what the spirit longs for. This is why prayer is a fight! But you do not fight alone — the grace and power of God step in exactly where your strength runs out. Do not give up in the struggle to pray. Fight through it, because grace is waiting to meet you on the other side.
