GOSPEL OF CHRIST DEVOTIONAL 1200/110123
RELEASING CHRIST, THE GLORY OF GOD IN YOU. (PART 1).
Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
The Glory of God is the outshining or luminous revelation of God's beauty. It is the revelation of Himself. Prophet Isaiah, who was prophesying to men before the cross said: God's glory will be seen upon them (not through them) when The Lord arises upon them (not when He lives in them). So, people before the cross experienced the Glory of God (Christ), but never enjoyed the privilege of Him shining out from within them; unlike we the new testament saints. Moses carried a fading glory, so he had to cover his face with a vail so that the people would not notice his fading glory (2Cor.3:13-18). As believers in Christ, we have received God's Permanent Glory, since Christ, The Glory of God is now resident in our Born again spirits.
The people before the Cross didn't have Christ (The Glory of God) within them because they had fallen short of God's glory due to the sin nature still within them (Rom.3:22-24). Sin, resisted the glory of God from coming into them and shining through them. Jesus Christ came as the Lamb of God to take away the Sin nature in men, through the sacrifice of Himself (John1:29; Heb.9:26). By what Christ has accomplished through His substitutional sacrifice, He has made all believers in Him fit, qualified or suitable to be partakers of our rich inheritance of God's Glory (Colo.1:12).
Christ, who is the Glory of God manifests Himself through us by His: Love, Mercy, Truth, Power, Character Traits (The Friut of The Spirit) etc. So, when Christ lives in you in His fullness, by revelation: You will love as He loves; you will be merciful like Him; You will be full of His truth like Him; you'll manifest God's Power like Him etc. God's confident expectation or hope in the believer's life, is the Glory of God or Jesus Christ manifesting through you.
CONFESSION
Christ, The Glory of God has taken permanent residence in me to manifest Him to my world.
