TRUST GOD WITH CONFIDENCE

1 John 5:10-15 đź“– God gave us the Bible so we could know Him and live in a way that pleases Him. He desires that we truly understand His teachings and how they apply to our life. Simply put, the Lord wants us to trust in Him with complete confidence.

We have an enemy, however, who attempts to undermine that confidence at every turn. We've all been there—joyfully moving along through life, sure of our salvation, and then, BORN AGAIN! We stumble into sin, and our feelings take over.

The devil uses our remorse and conflicting emotions to eat away at our confidence. We think, There's no way I can be saved. If I were truly saved, I would never have done such a thing. Overwhelmed by feelings of regret and shame, we find our faith coming under fire.

It's amazing how effectively our fleeting emotions can undermine assurance in God's promises. But we shouldn't really be surprised. After all, we've been conditioned to let our feelings lead us through life. "If it feels good, do it"—a popular saying from the 60s—is still an all-too-common idea today. Yet the Lord does not speak in feelings; He speaks in truth.

Whenever your emotions contradict the Bible, you can be sure that the Scriptures are reliable. For a believer, "feeling saved' is as irrelevant as a husband or wife "feeling married".

You either are or you're not; feelings simply do not make it so. Have your feelings of regret stolen your confidence in eternal salvation? Lay them before the Lord today, and embrace the certainty that comes only with His truth.

Our Father, the Shepherd of our souls, we give You full control of our entire households and destinies, in the victorious name of Jesus.

STOP A GROWING TEMPTATION

1 Corinthians 10:13 đź“– *"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it"*.

No matter what specific form temptation takes in our lives, the enemy uses a fairly standard process to get us off track. And it is as effective as ever.

First, we begin to think about the object of our desire. We play with it in our mind, imagining how we would feel if it were ours. Isn't it interesting that no matter how many blessings God has showered upon us, we always seem to focus on the one thing we do not have! We must ask ourselves, Could the enemy be trying to redirect my focus?

Remember, Satan wants to alienate us from the Lord. If he can get us to take our eyes off God and instead fix our attention on what we feel we're lacking, then he can lead us to temptation. Next, the thought builds until it finally gives way to full-blown desire.

This intense longing is the culmination of our imaginings. We're no longer content simply to enjoy the object in our mind; now, we must actually have it.

Finally, the desire leads to a choice. Here is where we make the decision, Will I give in to this sin, or will I lay it down and submit to the Lord's will for my life? Through the Holy Spirit's power, we have the ability to walk away at any point in the process of temptation. We are never helpless to defuse the situation, no matter how much momentum has built up.

Do you ever feel as if you are powerless to stop a growing temptation in your life? Understanding the nature of this progressive process can help you to stand firm against the enemy's tactics.

Today, I prophesy by the power of the life in Christ Jesus and break the force of death over you and your family, in Jesus' mighty name.

WATCH AND PRAY

Matthew 26:41 đź“– *"Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak"*.

Everybody experiences temptation. No matter how spiritual you are or how long you've followed Christ, you have been tempted. Sometimes this experience seems like a faint whisper, and other times it's an unbearable shout in your mind. Regardless of how it sounds, you know just what temptation feels like. But if someone asked, could you define the term? Temptation is simply an enticement to take a God-given desire beyond God-given boundaries.

Many people reject this idea, refusing to believe that guilt-instilling allurements could be even remotely related to the Lord. But think about it: In what ways are you most often tempted? In the area of material possessions? Intimacy? Companionship? Food? These are all things that God not only created but also uses to bless His people.

The problem comes when we—who still carry around the old "programming" of our flesh nature—take those drives beyond the healthy limits that God has set for our lives. For example, He created s*x for enjoyment within a marriage relationship.

However, when this divinely approved desire is corrupted by physical intimacy outside of marriage, then what the Creator designed for His purposes becomes a source of guilt and shame. That is not what God intended.

One of the enemy's top strategies is to distort a God-given drive for his own vile purposes. You can short-circuit such an attack: Remind yourself where this urge came from in the first place, and then ask God for the strength to use such drives for His glory, as He intended.

On the authority of the name of the Father, every enmity against your destiny is judged today, in the powerful name of Jesus.

LET YOUR CONSCIENCE BE YOUR GUIDE

1 Timothy 1:5-7 đź“– *"Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm"*.

"Let your conscience be your guide". This bit of folk wisdom seems to make sense because our conscience is designed to help us discern right from wrong.

However, people cannot always trust their internal radar to steer them correctly; this is the case particularly with unbelievers, who don't have the Holy Spirit to reveal truth and offer guidance for wise decisions. And while Christians do have God's indwelling Spirit, they should be careful not to harbor sin, as that can interfere with the way their morality sensors function.

For a conscience to be trustworthy, it must be programmed with scriptural teaching. Believers build a stable and sensitive spiritual radar system by applying God's truth to their life. They are committed to thinking and acting in ways that honor and please the Lord. Then, when sinful thoughts or choices come across that radar, it will deliver a sharp warning.

Those with a reliable conscience will have a strong desire to obey God. Instead of settling for what feels right or looks good, they seek the Lord's will. In other words, they do not rely solely on their conscience but incorporate all of the Holy Spirit's tools—including Scripture and prayer—into their daily activities.

Moreover, when their spiritual radar sounds the alarm, they are quick to draw back and reject unwise choices. A conscience isn't designed to be our guide; it is a tool of the Guide.

The Holy Spirit not only convicts us of sin, but He also brings to mind godly principles and leads us on a righteous path. He uses a variety of tools to conform us to the likeness of Christ, *"For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren"* (Rom. 8:29).

I prophesy over your destiny in 2026, you will rise never to fall and you shall shine all through your journey, in the powerful name of Jesus.

A MAN AFTER GOD'S HEART

Acts 13:16-22 đź“– King David made several big mistakes in his life. Yet he was called a man after God's own heart and was mightily used by the Lord to lead the Israelites. What set him apart was the priority he placed on his relationship with the heavenly Father.

David delighted in knowing God and sought Him earnestly. Writing, *"My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land"*, he declared that God's love was better than life. He went on to pledge that he would praise the Lord all his days (Ps. 63:1, Ps. 63:3-4).

David viewed life from a God-centered perspective. In his writings, he marveled at the Lord's creative power in the world, relied on Him for protection and strength, and proclaimed allegiance. He also prayed fervently and frequently, lifting requests in the morning and expectantly awaiting a response, *"My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up"* (Ps. 5:3). At night he'd continue communing with God, *"When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches"* (Ps. 63:6).

Both actions—praying and meditating on God's character—fueled his trust in the Lord. His faith sustained him throughout life: when he was a shepherd boy protecting sheep from attacks by wild animals, a young man defeating the giant Goliath, and the nation's anointed leader escaping King Saul's murderous plans.

Whatever his circumstances, he sought the Lord and gave priority to their relationship. The psalms reveal David's desire to know the Lord and be known by Him. He sought God's guidance through prayer and had a heart for Him.

Jesus invites us to draw near and spend time learning from Him, *"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls"* (Matt. 11:28-29). Have you made following Christ the priority of your life?

COMMITMENT AND OBEDIENCE

Psalms 62:1-2 đź“– *"Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved"*.

Having been saved by faith in Christ, we express our love and gratitude through devotion to Him. Regular Bible study and prayer should be an integral part of our daily routine.

In addition, our commitment to the Lord will be revealed through a passion to obey, a spirit of humility, and a heart for service.

*Obedience*. David sought to obey God all his life. As a shepherd boy, he faithfully tended the animals in his father's fields. While king, he set aside his desire to build the temple and let Solomon lead the effort, as God had commanded. Although David lived imperfectly, his desire was to do what the Lord asked. We see from Jesus' words in John 14:15 that obedience should be our high priority as well: He said, *"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments"*.

*Humility*. After David killed Goliath, the crowds shouted praise about the young man. However, he did not become prideful. Instead, he remained in King Saul's service and waited for God to make him the ruler of Israel. Even as king, he remained humble. He knew that what had been accomplished was because of the Lord's actions and not his own, *"Then King David went in and sat before the LORD; and he said: Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far?"* (2 Sam. 7:18).

*Service*. Whether David was a lowly shepherd or a mighty king, his goal was to obey God and serve Him. This man after God's own heart was fully devoted to his Lord. He sought to know Him and longed to carry out His will. David's actions reflected His humble attitude of servanthood and a longing to please his heavenly Father. Take steps each day to be sure your life expresses commitment to Jesus.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD

Proverbs 9:7-12 đź“– *"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom"* (Prov. 9:10).

Initially, the connection between these two concepts may be difficult to grasp. How can fearing God make us wise? First, we need to understand what it means to fear the Lord. This term is used to describe an awesome reverence for God that moves us to acknowledge Him as the sovereign ruler of heaven and earth, submit to His will, and walk in obedience.

The result of such a response will be the acquisition of wisdom. If we commit ourselves to living for God's purposes rather than our own, we will gain greater understanding of Him.

The Holy Spirit will enable us to see circumstances and people from His divine perspective. This kind of wisdom reaches beyond human perception and gives us discernment to make decisions that fit into the Lord's plans for our life.

Knowing that He always works for our best interests, we are empowered to walk confidently through both good and bad times. But if we reject God's instructions, we dishonor Him with our refusal to acknowledge His right to rule our life.

It's foolish to rebel against His authority and think we can ever win. Those who won't fear God will never know real wisdom. What is your attitude toward the Lord? If you truly revere Him, you will listen for His directions and heed His warnings.

A desire to honor and please Him will motivate you to turn from evil and seek to live in obedience. The result will be wisdom beyond human understanding.

*Today, by the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, you receive power for holy living, in the mighty name of Jesus*.

POWER OVER CIRCUMSTANCES

Philippians 1:12-25 📖 If you had the power to change your circumstances, would you? Since no one has a life without problems, most of us would immediately say yes. However, the reality is that we must learn to live with some of our difficult circumstances, because only God has the power to alter them—and in His providence, He's allowed them to remain.

Take the apostle Paul, for example. He had a desire to go to Rome and preach the gospel but didn't anticipate the route God would use to bring him there. It began with false accusations in Jerusalem, an appeal to Caesar, a rough sea voyage, and a shipwreck and eventually included time spent in a Roman prison.

This was probably not what Paul had envisioned, but as he sat chained to a Roman guard, he wrote the following words to the church in Philippi: *"My circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel"* (Phil. 1:12).

The very circumstance that may have seemed like an unfair misfortune became the avenue for fruitful service. What looks like a shipwreck or detour in our plans could actually be God's ordained path for our lives. It may include financial challenges, health issues, relational conflicts, or any number of other hardships, but there is one certainty to which we can cling: Jesus Christ is our life, and He never changes.

Conditions around us will fluctuate, but if we belong to Christ, He'll use every situation to accomplish His will in and through us. Even when we face matters of life and death, we can share Paul's desire—that Christ would be exalted in us, whether through life or death.

THE GODHEAD ARE CO-EQUAL

Matthew 28:18-20 đź“– *"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the of the age. Amen"*.

Years ago, after I preached about God's Spirit, a woman came up after church to complain, "Why do you talk about the Holy Spirit when people need to hear about Jesus and God"?

Sometimes even those who have been Christians for a long time regard the Trinity as a hierarchy. To their way of thinking, the Father is God, Jesus is slightly beneath Him in rank and seniority, and the Holy Spirit is their servant. While this may conform to human models of authority, it isn't biblical.

According to the Scriptures, all three members of the Trinity are fully God: God the Father—Jesus Christ referred to His Father as God (John 5:17-18). God the Son—John 1:1 identifies Jesus as divine. While Christ never specifically called Himself "God", His Father did apply the title to Him, *"But to the Son He says: Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom"* (Heb. 1:8).

Furthermore, Jesus acknowledged having unlimited power—an attribute possessed only by the divine Creator (Matthew 28:18)—and also accepted worship (Matthew 14:33; John 9:38). God the Holy Spirit—After declaring that God raised Christ from the dead, the New Testament goes on to credit the Holy Spirit with the resurrection, *"But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies MEASURE through His Spirit who dwells in you"* (Romans 8:11).

Jesus reinforced that idea when He commanded the disciples to baptize new believers in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Bible confirms that each member of the Trinity is equally God.

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit function as a unit—no one is more important or less essential than the others. All three are focused upon their plan for mankind: salvation, transformation, and glory for God.

*By the force of power of resurrection, all adversaries of your life and destiny are broken today, in the powerful name of Jesus*.

UNFAIR SUFFERING FOR CHRIST

1 Peter 3:13-18 đź“– Persecution has been a common experience in Christianity ever since the apostles first proclaimed the message of salvation. Even in places that have been blessed with a long period of peace and prosperity, there is no guarantee how long that will continue. And though we may never face severe repercussions like imprisonment or death for our beliefs, we've probably all felt the sting of rejection or ridicule.

Whatever form the harassment may take, we should all be prepared to suffer for Christ. Peter wrote to a group of believers who were treated harshly because of their faith. His goal was to offer encouragement and a reminder to follow Christ's example: Though sinless, He suffered in our place to bring us to God. And while the crowd at the cross mocked Him, He never responded harshly. Instead, He patiently suffered in full submission to His Father, *"entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously"* (1 Peter 2:21-23).

Without this perspective, we could quickly descend into self-pity or angry resentment when we're mistreated. But Peter reminds us that we are blessed when we suffer for the sake of righteousness. Not only will we receive a reward in heaven, *"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you"* (Matthew 5:11-12), but we may also have an opportunity to gently and reverently be a witness for Christ.

A wise response to persecution flows from an accurate understanding of God's ways. Unfair suffering is sometimes a part of His will for us, just as it was for Christ. But we can trust our Father, knowing that He can work every situation for our good and His glory.

*A PERSON OF STRONG FAITH*

Daniel 1:1-20 đź“– Daniel had unshakeable faith. His trust in the Lord sustained him when he was uprooted from his home, taken into captivity, and sent to a foreign country.

It strengthened him as he served under several kings and faced many challenges. Knowing God and trusting Him are the two key elements of deep faith. Daniel, who was part of the Israelite nobility, apparently learned about the Lord from a young age.

While he was in captivity, his words and actions demonstrated that he knew the Scriptures and wanted to obey God. When offered a meal that was incompatible with the dietary laws, he took a great risk by requesting other food.

In verse 9 of today's passage, we see that God caused the official to show favor to him. Like Daniel, we are to spend our lives learning and carrying out what pleases our heavenly Father, *"That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God"* (Col. 1:10).

Not only did this young man know what the Scriptures said, but he also trusted the Lord to do as He had promised.

Every time Daniel took a stand for godliness, he was demonstrating his confidence in the heavenly Father. And his friends—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—had unwavering faith as well.

They did not know for sure that the Lord would rescue them from the fiery furnace, but they believed He could and trusted that He'd do what was right, *"Thus the steward took away their portion of delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.

As for these four young, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Now at the end of the days, when the King had said that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar"* (Dan. 3:16-18).

Barriers to unshakeable faith include *pride (I won't admit I need God's help), arrogance (I know a better way—I don't have to ask God), and self-sufficiency (I can do it myself without His help)*.

Which of these is keeping you from becoming a person of strong faith? Confess it and turn toward the Lord.

*Prayer*
*By the force of Divinity, this month like none other, you will move in the power of the Holy Ghost and will be unstoppable, in the precious name of Jesus. Amen*.
