TOPIC: FORGET THE PAST, PRESS TOWARD THE FUTURE

“Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand." Romans 14:4.

MESSAGE
Put your past behind you. Paul declared, " *Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before" (Philipians 3:13)*

The devil wants you to believe that if you have failed once, you are bound to fail forever. Perhaps you have been trapped by this lie, thinking, I've tried many times to overcome this habit, but I'll never succeed. ' Know this: it is a lie. Paul reminds us that we are "Persecuted, but not forsaken, cast down, but not destroyed" (2nd Corinthians 4:9).

Consider how a baby learns to walk. They watch others, try to imitate, and fall many times. Yet they keep trying until they succeed. Past failures do not determine your future. Whether you are battling a habit, healing a hurt, or striving to grow in God's Kingdom, your past does not limit your potential. But if you fixate on past failures, you risk repeating them--like driving forward while only watching the rear-view mirror. You will surely crash. Instead, cultivate a vision of the future God has for you and walk confidently toward it.

ACTION POINTS
✍️ Begin to picture yourself free from the habit or struggle you face. Take intentional steps towards living in that freedom.

SCRIPTURES
Philippians 3:13; 2nd Corinthians 4:9; James 4:11-12.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord Jesus, help me to silence every lie the enemy has caused me to believe, in Jesus' name.

2. I declare, "Let there be light!" into every dark area of my life, in Jesus' name.

3. Father, open my eyes to see the victory You have already given me, in Jesus' name.

4. Holy Spirit, give me strength and courage to press forward and leave the past behind, in Jesus' name.

"Be Still and Know That I Am God” — Psalm 46:10

Last year, God revealed Himself to us as the God of Possibilities (Gen. 18:14; Luke 1:37). This year, He speaks again through His Word: “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Stillness is not passivity—it is trust. It positions us to hear His voice (1 Kings 19:12), to see His divine provisions (2 Kings 6:17), to release unbelief, and to provoke the miraculous (Mark 9:24–26). Being still is one of the purest forms of worship, for it invites His presence and reveals His glory.

My prayer for you in this Convention is that God will grant you the grace to be still, overcome every restlessness, grow in the knowledge of Him, and encounter His mighty power in Jesus’ name. Amen.

YOU_ARE_HERE

As we navigate life's challenges, it's crucial to persist in prayer and rely on God's guidance. Jesus emphasizes this in Luke 18:1, telling His disciples to pray "always" and not lose heart.

As Christian students on campus, this parable is particularly relevant to us. As praying priests, we must not faint. As faith priests, we must not let our youth be despised (1 Timothy 4:12).

Let's pray:
Oh Lord, grant me knowledge and make me productive, in Jesus' name, Amen.

I_AM_HERE reveals the imperative of persistence and actively relying on God as we await the end, even though life in this world continues to be rife with injustice. From our text, Jesus begins by telling His disciples that the parable He is about to tell is about praying “always” and not losing heart (Luke 18:1). As christian students following Jesus on campus the parable is for you now that you are here (I_AM_HERE) as a priest.

Students as a praying priest; *ought to pray and not to faint.* Students as faith priest; let no man despise thy youth. 1 Timothy 4:12

Please join us in fellowship this Tuesday and Wednesday.
