WOMEN MINISTRIES OF MGBUOBA GROUP CELEBRATES WITH "GRATEFUL HEARTS!".
The Women Ministries of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in Mgbuoba Group, congregated today, Saturday, November 29, 2025, for their deeply moving End-of-Year Thanksgiving Program.
The sanctuary was filled with joy as the women celebrated the Lord's faithfulness under the inspiring theme: "Grateful Hearts, Fruitful Hands."
The program, which commenced with the Sabbath School session, saw the women leading out even in the studies. It was indeed a powerful demonstration of worship and community, as six (6) churches under the Group participated in that combined service.
It featured a rich blend of vibrant singing, with the women uplifting spirits through songs of praise and adoration. A key highlight of the event was the time dedicated to sharing testimonies of the Lord's goodness. Sister after sister stood to recount personal stories of provision, protection, and grace received throughout the year, reaffirming the truth that God is indeed good.
During the divine service, Shepherdess Rachael P. Anyado took on the sermon that centred on the theme. In her own words, she said, "When we cultivate grateful hearts, we will experience hands that are Fruitful".
Amongst the benefits of a grateful heart mentioned were:
1. It increases our trust in God (2 Sam. 22:3-4)
2. It makes us to be humble (1Pet. 5:6)
The event successfully captured the essence of the theme, encouraging every participant to reflect on their blessings and commit to using their hands for service, motivated by hearts truly grateful to God.
The leader of the women at the group level, Mrs. Hellen Chinedum Moses could not hide her joy as she appreciated the women and few individuals for their relentless support as well as the clergymen that gave her the needed support.
Special prayers were made for the women by leaders/elders of the various churches, with the associate group pastor, Pastor Caleb I. Jonathan crowning it all up.
It was a beautiful and fitting conclusion to the year's activities for the Women Ministries.
2026 is around the corner. What will you be grateful for?
