SERIES: CELEBRATING THE HIGHER LIFE IN CHRIST. Pt.2.

TOPIC: A LIFE OF CONTRIBUTION.

TEXT: Jn.8:23
And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

Jesus is our perfect example; He is everything we need to be and more; Jn.14:12; 17:18; 20:21. We are sent to do the same works as He did; to represent the Father like He did; and to impact the world like He did.

Jesus declared emphatically saying; “As long as I am in this world, I am the light of the world;” Jn.9:5.

But He also declared that “Ye are the light of the world a city set upon a hill cannot be hid;” Mt.5:14.

He went about doing good healing all them that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him; Acts 10:38b.

In the same vein we’ve been charged to go into all the world and preach the gospel- the good news to all walks of life, irrespective of their race, creed or status; and when they did, the Lord went with them also, confirming the Word with signs following; Mk.16:15-16, 20.

As believers we are not in competition with anyone, we add value wherever we are found. We are contributors. We contribute to the wellbeing of all of humanity.

God speaking to Abraham said, “I will bless you, and make your name great, and thou shall be a Blessing; They that blesses you, I will bless, but he that curses you shall be cursed; and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed;” Gen.12:2-3.

It is important that you carry this conviction in your spirit. I am not just marking time; I am adding value to life, to my generation.

What does this imply?
The world is fortunate to have you. Like Esther, you were born for a time as this, you have an important contribution to make in this generation, and in the name of Jesus, you will not disappoint; Esth.4:14.

You carry the seed of God’s goodness and mercy in you- you are an agency of His goodness to every man you come in contact with. No one meets you and remains the same; Ps.23:6.

May the light in you shatter every darkness in your world; may you always make impact wherever you're found; Hallelujah; Mt.5:16.

DAILY OVERCOMERS’ DEVOTIONAL.

SERIES: CELEBRATING THE HIGHER LIFE IN CHRIST.

TEXT: Jn.8:23
And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

Salvation in Christ is a call to a higher life- one that is higher in all spheres of life and endeavors.

Jesus had a proper understanding of this truth, and He was never shy to say it before the Jews and their leaders.

They wanted to make Him King after He fed them with the five loaves of bread and two fishes; but He declined saying, “My Kingdom is not of this world;” Jn.18:36.

Now, we know that by redemption we are hidden in Christ and in God; Col.3:3. We also know that Christ dwells in us by the Holy Spirit which was given to us; our hope of Glory is rooted in the knowledge that Christ dwells in us; Col.1:27.

We are not proud and arrogant, we are not showing indifference towards others because of our rich heritage; rather, we show a higher conviction, a loftier disposition; we show Meekness, we show Grace and Gratitude- that’s the higher life.

Moses was a man who tasted a bit of the higher life of God. He was made a “god” over Pharaoh the King of Egypt; he demonstrated strange order of signs and wonders by the Power of God- He pathed the Red Sea for the Children to walk through a dry land; Ex.14:13-15.

He led them through the Jordan River; he brought water out of the rock for them to drink, and for food, he gave them Manna for forty years; he was faithful in all His house; Heb.3:1-2.

But we are from a Higher calling in Christ Jesus our Lord. John the Baptist was greater than all men before him, but the least under Christ’s leadership is greater than John; Mt.11:11

You have a Higher life in you, you’re not a victim, you’re a champion; you carry the very essence of the King of Kings in you. Greater is He that is in you than all the devils that are in the world; 1Jn.4:4.

How to Access and Enjoy the Higher Life in Christ.
Receive and Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ; Jn.1:12.

Take on the Meekness of Christ in your own mind; Phil.2:5-11. No one ever rises without Meekness. Moses the great in Egypt was Moses the meekest man on the Earth; Num.12:3; Ex.11:3. God resists the proud but lifts and gives Grace to the meek; Jas.4:6.

May the Higher Life of Christ in you bring you into Higher realms of Glory also in Jesus precious Name.

DAILY OVERCOMERS’ DEVOTIONAL.

SERIES: HE EVER LIVETH – PT.7

TOPIC: A RECAP.

TEXT: JN.14:19
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

The most exciting news at our disposal as believers is the fact that Jesus is alive forever; the champion of our salvation is not rotting in the grave-He conquered death and the grave forever.

In dying, He tasted death once and for all; in been buried, He arose from the grave once and for all; and because He lives, we shall live also- forever with Him. Hallelujah! – Rev.1:18; Heb.2:14-15; 1Jn.5:11-12; Jn.14:19.

He ever lives to make intercession for us, and He has commissioned us to be intercessors also; Heb.7:25; Jn.14:12; 17:18. He has put His Spirit in us to help us in our intercessory responsibilities; Rom.8:26-27.

He ever lives to save the unsaved, and He has commissioned you to go into all the world and make disciples for Him; those who believe shall be saved, and those who believe not shall be damned; Mk.16:15-16; Jn.3:16-18. This free gift of salvation is the gateway to accessing all our inheritance in God; Acts 20:32.

Our priceless heritage in God is encapsulated in His Word. Every Word we receive, believe and engage activates and releases the Blessings and Promises of God in our lives; Jn.1:12; Lk.1:45. The Word we receive and believe must be declared boldly to command the miraculous in our lives and affairs; Mk.11:23; Acts 14:3.

Now we are partakers of God’s Divine nature by access to His power and His promises-we are not sharing His Glory, we are partakers of His Glory; 2Pet.1:3-4; Is.42:8.

Ananias and Sapphira tried to take His Glory and paid with their lives; but in Him we live, and move and have our being; whatever He has we partake of same because we are hidden in Christ in God forever; Hallelujah! – Acts 5:1-11; 17:28; Col.3:3.

All of these realities are made possible not because we are so righteous and perfect but because in His mercy, He has bestowed upon us His amazing Grace – His Power, and Riches, and Wisdom, and Strength, and Honour, and Glory, and Blessing revealed and released at once to us even when we don’t deserve it; Rom.5:8; Eph.2:8-9; Rev.5:12.

Everything you will ever need in this lifetime is accessible by His Grace. There is no depth you’ve fallen to that Grace can’t pull you out from; there is no height you’ll attain in Him that you won’t need His Grace to sustain you.

His Grace and Mercy is renewed day after day. You can’t out-demand His Grace. Where sin doth abound, Grace much more abounds. Grace rises to meet every occasion and situation in our lives only if we will humbly receive that amazing Grace in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Submit to His Grace and end that disgrace in and around your life forever.

DAILY OVERCOMERS’ DEVOTIONAL.

SERIES: HE EVER LIVETH – PT.5.

TOPIC: HE MAKES US PARTAKERS OF HIS GLORY.

TEXT: Jn.17:5, 22
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.

Jesus is seated in majesty with the Father forever. The good news is that by redemption, we are seated together with Him in Heavenly places, far above principalities and thrones, and dominions; not only in this world but in the world to come; Eph.2:6; 1:20-21.

Scriptures declare that God dwelleth in Light (Glory) that cannot be approached.

Moses was with Him for only forty days and forty nights, and by the time he returned to the people, they couldn’t behold His face because of the Glory that he resplended; Ex.34:29-30.
Jesus was on top of the mountain to pray and He transfigured with so much Glory that Peter, James and John had to bow their faces- they couldn’t behold His face directly; Lk.9:28-35.

Now Jesus constantly, permanently sits with the Father, in all the magnificence of His Glory, and in His last prayer recorded in John 17, we see Him asking the Father to give everyone that believes in Him through the preaching of the Word the same Glory that He shares with the Father; Hallelujah; Jn.17:1, 4-5, 20-22.

Christ in you is the Hope of Glory. No one ever follows Him wholeheartedly and ends up in shame. Whatever the enemy designs for evil, for shame and reproach is overturned for His Glory in our individual and collective lives; Col.1:27.

How to Unlock and Access this Glory.
Promote the unity of the Faith. The work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers is to create in them a dire need to be one with Christ Jesus in all our dealings and conversations; Jn.17:22.

Strife is a Glory killer both in the Church and among brethren. There is never anything beautiful wherever there’s war; and the servant of God must not strive; 2Tim.2:24-26.

God’s plan is to bring every believer into the unity of the Faith, unto the measure of the stature of Christ; Eph.4:11-13. He gave ministry offices- Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers and Pastors for the work of the Ministry and for the edifying of the saints.

You are seated with Him in unapproachable Light (Glory); in the name of Jesus, no one will see shame or reproach around your life and destiny.

You are ordained to reveal and reflect God’s eternal Glory, and in the name of Jesus, you will not disappoint.

DAILY OVERCOMERS’ DEVOTIONAL.

SERIES: HE EVER LIVETH – PT.4

TOPIC: HE UPHOLDS HIS WORD FOREVER.

TEXT: MT.24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Jesus is the Living Word of God, and He is alive forever more, Amen; Jn.1:1-5, 9, 12, 14; Rev.19:13.

Nothing holds more value before God than His Word- He has magnified His Word above all His names; Ps.138:2.

God’s integrity and faithfulness backs every one of His Word, and not even a jot of it can go unfulfilled.

This is where we draw our strength and confidence from- knowing fully well that every Word of God we receive and believe will eventually find expression in our lives.

We are empowered to become every Word we receive and believe- God performs His Word that we truly believe in our lives and endeavors; Jn.1:12; Lk.1:45.

Jesus is alive forever more to continually ensure that the Word never fails to deliver.

For example:
Before His ascension He promised to send the Holy Spirit, and asked them to tarry in Jerusalem until they are endued with Power from on high, and alas, He did; Lk.24:49.

He has never failed on His promises once. Whatever He says to you personally from the pages of scriptures, through visions and revelations, by the mouth of His Servants- the Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Pastors and Evangelists; you can be sure, He will fulfill His Word in your life; Is.55:10-11.

But it takes Faith and Vision clarity to provoke the fulfillment of the Word of God in our individual and collective lives; Lk.1:45; Jer.1:11-12.

What are your responsibilities to see the Word fulfilled?
Keep your Faith alive by feeding on the Word of God; Rom.10:17.

Keep your Prayer altar awake through constant engagement in Prayer and Fasting; Jud.20; Lk.22:31-32; Is.62:5-7.

Continue to declare His Word until your situation and challenges align with His Word for your life; Mk.11:23; Num.14:28.

Rejoice exceedingly and continually at the Word; Jn.5:24-25; 11:25, 39-40; Jer.15:16; Ps.119:162.

God has never gone to sleep over His Word; He watches over His Word to perform it; He will perform His good Word in your life today in Jesus Name.

SERIES: HE EVER LIVETH – PT.3.

TOPIC: HE HOLDS THE KEY OF LIFE AND DEATH.

TEXT: REV.1:18
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

He holds the key of life and death. He is not holding the key against you; He is holding the key in your favour- In Him we have life; He has deprived the enemy the authority to take the life of anyone under His protection; 1Jn.5:11-12; Heb.2:14-15.

Death has no authority over you anymore; death is swallowed up in victory; 1Cor.15:53-54.

In His death He conquered death, in His resurrection He established everlasting life for all who will come to God through Him; Jn.3:16; 6:54-57.

Whether it has to do with the death in our walk with God, death of our Businesses and Career, death in our finances, untimely death by accidents, sickness or disease; Jesus has purchased our redemption; so He ever liveth to give us Life, and this He does more abundantly; Is.54:16-17 (Msg); Jn.10:10.

What is your Assurance?
God assures that He will deliver you from the mighty and terrible; Is.49:24.

He will save your children; Is.49:25.

He will cause them that oppress you to feed on their own flesh, and be drunken with their own blood as with sweet wine; Is.49:26.

God is angry with the wicked daily; that is, everyone who has made you the target for his or her attacks, is toiling with the anger of God, and surely they shall be burnt; Ps.7:11-13.

He has caused the wicked that dig pits for you to fall into the same pit they dug for you and your family; Eccl.10:8.

What does Life in Christ Communicate?
Eternity with God; Jn.3:16.

Total Healing, Health and Wholeness; Rom.8:11.

Immunity to all forms of satanic attacks; Is.54:16-17.

Supernatural Restoration of all that the enemy has hitherto stolen from you; Joel 2:25-26.

Supernatural Empowerment to rule and reign over the enemy; Lk.10:19; Ps.110:1-2.

Whatever represents death in and around your life shall come under judgement from this moment in the matches name of Jesus.

DAILY OVERCOMERS’ DEVOTIONAL.

SERIES: HE EVER LIVETH – PT.2.

TOPIC: TO SAVE TO THE UTTERMOST THOSE WHO COME TO GOD.

TEXT: Heb.7:25
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Before Jesus was born, the angel spoke to Joseph announcing His primary purpose as to save mankind from their sins; Mt.1:21.

During His earthly ministry, Jesus declared that His singular purpose was to seek and to save them that are lost; Lk.19:10.

In Acts 3:26, we are also told that God sent Jesus unto us first, to Bless us, in turning us away from our iniquities.

It is amazing therefore to note that even after His ascension to Heaven, He is still fulfilling that singular purpose- to save to the uttermost them that come to God by Him.

Recall that Jesus made it clear that He is the way, the truth, and the life; that no one comes to Father except by Him; He is not one of the ways- He is not an option, He is the only true way- the exclusive path to reach the Father; Jn.14:6.

For there is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we shall be saved; Acts 4:12. God has given Him a name that secures and guarantees not just our protection, but our salvation from all incursions of sin and the devil; Phil.2:9-10; Prov.18:10.

We have a duty therefore, to spread the good news of His continual interest in saving all of mankind from the power of sin and death. We’ve been commissioned to go into all the world and preach the gospel, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching the to observe and to do all things He hath commanded us; and the guarantee is that He is always with us to confirm His Word with signs following; Mt.28:18-20; Mk.16:15-18, 20.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE COMMIT TO HIS COMMISSIONING?
We are empowered to cast out devils, to heal the sick, and to raise the dead; Mt.10:1, 7-8.

We are guaranteed of His ever-abiding presence that secures supernatural victory in every battle of life; Mt.28:20; Rom.8:31.

We are empowered to trample upon wicked forces of the enemy, with assurance that nothing can by any means hurt us; Lk.10:19.

We are assured that the gates of hell shall be irresistible against our movement; Mt.16:18.

We are guaranteed access to the keys of the Kingdom such that whatever we bind on earth is bound in Heaven, and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in Heaven- what a Grace and a Privilege; Mt.16:19; 18:18.

We are assured also of answered prayers, no matter what our demands or desires are; Jn.15:16.

We also assured of our names been written in the lamb’s book of life; Lk.10:20.

May the hand of God rest upon you and yours from this day forward in Jesus Matchless Name.

DAILY OVERCOMERS’ DEVOTIONAL.

SERIES: HE EVER LIVETH.

TOPIC: TO MAKE INTERCESSIONS.

TEXT: Heb.7:25
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

We do not belong to a religion as Christians, we belong to a movement, a lively hope, a blessed assurance; because the one by whom we came to believe in God unlike other religions, is not dead but alive forever more.

Like every other mortal man He tasted death- not to show that he was limited like men, but to destroy the limitations death had placed on mankind. He conquered death and delivered forever everyone who had remained in bo***ge because of the fear of death; Heb.2:11, 14-15.

So we have Hope, we have a Blessed Assurance that our champion is not dead but alive; and because He lives we shall live also; Eccl.9:4; Jn.14:19.

Why Did God Keep Him Alive?
Principally, Jesus remains alive to make intercessions for you and for me- for all of mankind- He didn’t die for a tribe, a race, a nation, or a continent, He died for all of mankind that whosoever believes in Him shouldn’t perish but have the same everlasting life that He gives; Heb.7:25; Rev.5:9; Jn.3:16.

Why is He Constantly Making Intercessions for us?
He knows our frailty, that we are nothing but dust; Ps.103:14. God is not about to display His omnipotence against mere mortals like us; rather, He wants to help us come to His level of divinity through Salvation and Faith in Christ Jesus; 2Cor.5:17; 2Pet.1:3-4.

He knows our struggles and He wants to help us overcome each and every one of them; Heb.4:10,15. He was tempted in all things yet without sin; so, although He never fell, He clearly knows your struggles.

To invoke God’s everlasting mercy over our inadequacies; Is.54:7-8; Lam.3:22-23; Ps.136:1.

His Love for us is everlasting; Jer.31:3. Love took Jesus to the cross for us, Love overcame death and the grave, and the same Love has kept Him in a posture of intercession for all of mankind forever.

He calls us to become intercessors just like Him; Jn.14:12. One of His major works today is intercession; in the same vein, we are called to be intercessors for the advancement of His Kingdom.

May His Grace be sufficient for you to walk in His Love and to carry out His task as an intercessor.

DAILY OVERCOMERS’ DEVOTIONAL.

SERIES: MANIFESTING THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION- PT.34.

TOPIC: THE SEAL OF BLESSING

TEXT: Rev.5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

The Blessing is the capping on our inheritance in Christ Jesus; it is God’s verdict upon His own from Creation. The Covenant and Redemption also emphasizes the Blessing as God’s provision for His chosen vessels; Gen.1:26-28; 12:2-3; 22:16-18; Gal.3:13-14.

The Blessing of the Lord is the gateway to the making of men in life and destiny; Prov.10:22.

No one can make it in the Kingdom beyond the level of access he/she has to the Blessing. Your making is Blessing defined.

All the struggles of your life will disappear by one encounter with the Blessing; Gen.32:24-28.

Every good and perfect gift from God falls under the Blessing; Jas.1:17.

The Blessing is truly a divine enablement to access and receive all of God’s provisions for all of His people.

The good news is that, God has already Blessed us with all spiritual Blessings in Heavenly places; you are not in Church to be Blessed, you’re the Blessed of the LORD; the gathering of believers is the gathering of Blessed men and women- Hallelujah; Eph.1:3; Ps.132:13-15.

The Blessing is the cure, the antidote to every plague, and curses of life. The Blessing is a spiritual force with earthly realities. There is no opposition of hell that can challenge the audacity of the Blessing of God in the life of a believer; Deut.1:11; Num.23:8, 20.

What is in the Blessing?
The making of men and destinies; Prov.10:22; Gen.12:2-3.

The favour of God; Ps.5:12.

All-round Prosperity; Ps.1:2-3; 112:1-3.

Total healing, health and wholeness; Ex.23:25.

All-round Fruitfulness; Ex.23:25-26.

Longevity; Ex.23:25-26; Eph.6:1-3; Ps.133:3.

Generational Increase and Restoration; Deut.1:11.

Prophetic covering; Mt.10:41.

The Blessing is the solution to all of life’s challenges. You can’t carry the Blessing and stranded in life.

May the Blessing of the LORD rest upon you and yours from this day forward in Jesus Matchless Name.

DAILY OVERCOMERS’ DEVOTIONAL.

SERIES: MANIFESTING THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION- PT.33.

TOPIC: THE SEAL OF HONOUR AND GLORY - 2.

TEXT: Rev.5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

There is nothing the devil is after in your life other than God’s Glory and Honour; that is why the first thing we fall short of when we are overtaken by sin is God’s Glory; Rom.3:23.

He was the epitome of God’s Glory- the angel of God’s Glory before pride entered him and evil overtook him; therefore, wherever he sees a man accessing and enjoying God’s Glory and Honour He is enraged; Ezek.28:12-17.

However, Christ in you, that is redemption, is the Hope of Glory; Col.1:27. Redemption is not just a qualification to make Heaven, it is your Hope of access to God’s Grace and Glory in this present world.

Every child of God is a son or daughter of Glory. Whatever commands Glory belongs to God; all the Glory must be to the LORD; He will not share His Glory with any man nor His Praise with any graven image; Heb.2:10; Ps.29:1-3; Is.42:8.

This should get you excited- as a Son of Glory, you’re not for sale, not to be shared or toiled with by the devil and his cohorts; in fact, God is jealous over you- He will give nations for you, and people for your life; Mal.3:17; Zech.8:2-3; Is.41:3-5.

Saint of God, understand therefore that the contentions against your life, are nothing but contentions against God’s Glory and Honour on your life- you can’t afford to sit still; you must arise and contend for your Glory; Mt.11:12.

How to Contend for God’s Glory and Honour on your Life.
Carry the consciousness of the truth that you’re ordained by redemption unto Glory and Honour; Prov.21:16. To lose that consciousness is to live like a beast that perishes.

Reflect on who you are versus where you are presently. The prodigal son fell from Grace and Glory, but by deep reflections he came to himself and returned to a Glorious reunion with the Father; Lk.15:11-24; Is.60:1-3.

Wage war against every force contending against God’s Glory and Honour on your life; Jud.1:3; 1Tim.6:12.

If you don’t give up your adversaries will give up. Greater is He that is in you than all the devils that are in this world.

You’re more than conquerors through Christ that loved you. You will not lose the crown of God’s Grace and Glory on your life in Jesus precious name.

SERIES: MANIFESTING THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION- PT.32.

TOPIC: THE SEAL OF HONOUR AND GLORY.

TEXT: Rev.5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Jesus experienced inexplicable, undeniable shame and reproach- stripped naked, brutalized by worthless persons, smitten and asked to prophecy who hit him, spat upon by the best same people He went about healing and delivering from the assaults of the devil; but He went through all of these so we can access the Honour and Glory of God; 2Cor.5:21.

Sin steals the honour of a man or a people, and rips off God’s Glory from their lives; Rom.3:23; Prov.14:34.

By Redemption and the Resurrection of Christ, you have passed from shame to Glory, from despise to Honour, from weakness to Strength, from poverty to Wealth; Is.61:7; Zech.9:11-12.

But we discover that honour yields Honour; if you sow the seed of honour, you reap the harvest of Supernatural Honour. When God brings a man into Honour there is no devil in hell that can make him fare otherwise; 1Sam.2:30.

How to Provoke Supernatural Honour and Glory.
Be Humble; Prov.18:12; 22:4; Jas.4:6. Humility is a choice; Jesus humbled Himself even to the point of a shameful death on the cross, but God has exalted Him and given Him a name that is above all names- power and authority that holds and rules in Heaven, on Earth and over the demonic world; Phil.2:8-11.

Become a Host of God’s Divine Presence; Ex.34:29. Moses was with God for forty days and when he returned to the people, they couldn’t look at him in the face because God’s Glory shone from his face like they’ve never seen.

Kingdom Stewardship provokes Supernatural Honour and Glory; Jn.12:26; Phil.2:7-10. You can’t serve God with your time, energy and resources and end up in shame; God never calls any man into shame and reproach; Zeph.3:17-20.

Living to Honour God in our daily lives brings us into His incorruptible Honour; 1Sam.2:30; Prov.21:21; 14:34. A lifestyle of Righteousness triggers God’s Glory and Honour in our lives.

Honour is the outcome of perceived Glory. Glory is from within, but Honour is from without. Glory is in weights; 2Cor.4:17.

You can’t carry God’s Glory and be despised by men. Glory and Honour are inseparable; Is.60:1-3, 15.

Whatever looks like shame and reproach seeking an in road into your life and affairs, by the Power in the name of Jesus, be rescued forever.
