TOPIC: THE HELP MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – OUR SUSTAINER

TEXT: Jer.32:17
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

The Apostle Paul in one of his letters to the Romans said, the good things he wants to do, he can’t do them, but the evil he doesn’t want to do are the things he finds himself doing- he found a law in his members (his body) working against his desire to do what was right; Rom.7:18-25.

Paul’s struggle is not isolated- it is atypical with many of us today. We seem to be overtaken again and again by the very same things we have vowed not to allow; Rom.3:23.

Paul’s victory didn’t come from willpower or some hardline decisions only; his victory was rooted in the help of God; Acts 26:22.

There’s a constant war between your flesh and your spirit man; your flesh wants to serve the senses and feel good; your spirit man wants to serve God and please Him only; that rivalry is worse that than the golf war; Gal.5:16-17.

The Holy Spirit is God’s gift to you to be able to maintain and sustain a healthy relationship with God in Truth and in Spirit; Jn.4:23-24.

The natural man doesn’t have the strength and character to keep up with a good work; that’s coupled with the fact that your best display of righteousness is before God like a filthy rag; 1Cor 2:14; Is.64:6.

The only righteousness that is acceptable with God is His own righteousness bequeathed to you in Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit; 2Cor.5:17, 21; 1Cor.6:9-11.

How Does The Holy Spirit Sustain You?
He indwells your spirit man, empowering you in your inner man to overcome the weaknesses of your flesh; Eph.3:16; Prov.18:14; Jn.14:17.

He empowers your Prayer life thereby subduing the weaknesses of your flesh; Rom.8:26; Mt.26:41; Ps.66:3. Your number one enemy is not the devil, but your flesh.

He creates an unquenchable desire for God and for the interests of His Kingdom in you, so that you cannot rest until you have begun to live a life that pleases God; Mt.5:6; 6:33; Ps.63:1-2.

He empowers your Faith to overcome and quench all the fiery darts of discouragement and unbelief; Jud.20; Eph.6:16.

He guides you into all Truth; that is, He leads you in the path of Righteousness, so you can serve God effortlessly; Heb.11:6; Jn.16:13; 8:32.

As the LORD lives, your liberty from all oppressions of the devil is established now by the Power of God’s Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: THE HELP MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – OUR ADVOCATE.

TEXT: Jer.32:17
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

An advocate Is a professional who represents, supports, or argues for a cause, policy, or another person’s interests. It can also represent anyone who speaks up to defend vulnerable people before authorities.

This goes to show that the Holy Spirit is the head of the legal systems that guarantees our relationship with God.

Our salvation is beyond the arrival, growth ministry, arrest, persecution, death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Christ; there had to be a legal framework that connects us to all that Jesus did, so we can take full advantage of it.

An orphan who grows with his Uncle of a foster Father doesn’t automatically become the son or daughter of that man because he grew up with him; there must some form of legal workings to grant him that status.

In the same vein, Jesus paid the price for your salvation, but it is the Holy Spirit who presents your case before the Father not just for documentation, but for adoption with full rights and privileges after the order of Christ Jesus our Lord; Rom.8:1-5, 14-17.

The Holy Spirit is the seal of God on your salvation. As an advocate, he defends your cause before the judge of all the Earth- God the Father; Eph.1:13; Heb.12:22.

The devil is termed the accuser of the brethren; and wherever there is an accused, there ought to be an advocate to plead his cause- The Holy Spirit is that advocate.

Recall that everything the Holy Spirit does is a continuum of the ministry of Christ Jesus our Lord; if the Holy Spirit is our advocate Jesus must also be our advocate; 1Jn.2:1; Jn.14:16 (Ampc).

How does the Holy Spirit Advocate for us?
Through Divine Intercession; Rom.8:26. He helps our weaknesses and prays for us when we lack words to express our prayers.

He grants Spiritual Counsel; Jn.14:26. He teaches us the truth about God’s Word.
He Convicts and Comforts; Jn.16:8. He brings moral clarity to the heart while providing peace.

He assures of Daily Empowerment; Rom.8:16. He assures us of our son-ship status with God, and grants us the internal confidence to represent the Father as Sons with Power; Jn.1:12; Rom.1:4; 8:19.

However, it is by Faith that we access and enjoy the advocacy ministry of the Holy Spirit; Rom.5:1-5. You are Justified!

TOPIC: THE HELP MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – INTERCESSOR.

TEXT: Jer.32:17
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit is a continuity of the ministry of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Jesus said, I’ll pray the Father that He may send you another Comforter (of the same kind) that He may abide with you and shall be in you forever; Jn.14:16-17 (paraphrased).

The Holy Spirit does not have a separate mission outside of Christ’s- He is to take of Christ and reveal to us. That is, He is fundamentally here to help us appreciate of appropriate the ministry of Christ Jesus our Lord; Jn.16:12-14.

One of the everlasting core missions of Christ is Intercession for the saints – “Seeing He ever liveth to make intercessions for them that come unto God by Him;” Heb.7:25 (Paraphrased).

We are made to understand that we don’t know what or how to pray like we ought to; but the Spirit Himself helps our infirmities and makes intercessions for us with groanings which cannot be uttered; Rom.8:26.

Prayer is the life wire of every believer- prayerlessness is akin to lifelessness in the realms of the Spirit. The altar of Prayer is the place of encounter with destiny; it is the place of communication with God; it is the place of fellowship with God- You will surely struggle in your spiritual life if you’re not prayerful; Lk.18:1; Gen.32:1-2, 9-12, 24-28; 1Jn.1:3; 2Cor.13:14.

We have established in earlier series that the Holy Spirit helps our prayer life, but much more, He makes Intercession for us (He prays for us). There are voices sounding on your behalf before God day and night- the voice of Jesus and of the Holy Spirit (what a great privilege!).

Why does the Holy Spirit make Intercession for us?
He knows our weakness and wants to help; Rom.8:26.

We often pray amiss wanting to satisfy our lusts; so He prays our real needs before the Father; Rom.8:26; Jas.4:2-3. Many are sincere and fervent in their prayers but also erroneous in their prayers.

We oftentimes don’t understand the gravity of the burden we are faced with when we come to the place of Prayer; but the Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God and prays them out through us as we pray in the Spirit; Rom.8:26; Jud.20; 1Cor.14:2.

He prays us into the will of God for our lives; Rom.8:27. Many of us are saved today but we don’t know how we suddenly made a u-turn for God.

He guarantees us answers in Prayers by helping us pray according to the will of God; Rom.8:27; 1Jn.5:14-15.

As the Lord lives, you shall continue to prevail in your prayer life in the precious name of Jesus.

TOPIC: THE HELP MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – COUNSELLOR.

TEXT: Jer.32:17
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

A counsellor is a qualified mental health professional who provides talk therapy to help individuals navigate emotional, psychological, and personal challenges. They provide a safe, confidential environment to help people process issues like grief, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and stress.

The Holy Spirit is actively involved in ensuring that you develop and maintain a healthy mentality. God’s Word says that without your mind, He cannot do anything with you; Philemon 1:14.

This is why we are commanded to not be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind; that we may proof what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God; Rom.12:1-2.

You will never outgrow your need for the counsel of the Holy Spirit of God- please understand that where there is no counsel, the people fail, but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety; Prov.11:14.

Wars are not won by the numerical strength of the army, or the availability of resources, but by good counsel; Prov.20:18.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Counsel and Might; Is.11:2. God is interested in your mental health and stability. His Grace on your life grows and multiplies according your knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; 2Pet.1:2; 3:18.

How does the Holy Spirit carry out His Counseling Ministry?
He teaches all things; 1Jn.2:20, 27.

He will guide you unto all truth; Jn.16:13. It is the truth you access from the Word of God that makes for your freedom from all oppressions of the devil; Jn.8:32.

He is the voice behind you compelling you to turn to the left or to the right; Is.30:21.

He unlocks the mysteries of the Word to your Pastors and Teachers so you can be well fed with the Word and enjoy increase on every side; Eph.6:18-19; Jer.3:15-16.

He is the Power of God with which we cast out devils and exercise our dominion in the school of the Spirit; Lk.1:35; Ps.66:3.

He reveals the deep things of God to our spirit man so we may know and take full delivery of those things which are freely given to us of God; 1Cor.2:9-12.

You can’t have counsel and miss your place in destiny; may the counsel of the Holy Spirit become your delight from this day forward in Jesus Matchless Name.

TOPIC: THE HELP MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - COMFORTER

TEXT: Jer.32:17
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

The Holy Spirit is ultimately the helper of the believer in Christ Jesus, and basically, He is called the Comforter; Jn.14:26.

Jesus speaking said, “in this world you shall have tribulations” – suffice to say that there will be troubles and chaos on every side; but He went further to say, “be of good cheer, I have overcome the world;” Jn.16:33.

In Job 14:1 the word of God declares that man born of a woman is of few days, and these few days are full of trouble.

It therefore takes the comforting ministry of the Holy Spirit to bring sanity to the hearts of men.

It is the Holy Spirit that makes our the challenges we face soothing, and charts us through the challenges until we come out victorious on every side; 1Cor.10:13.

For our light affliction which is but for a moment worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal; 2Cor.4:17-18.

Surely there is an end to the crisis in and around your life; there’s an end to that sorrow of heart; there’s an end to the pain and frustrations you’ve suffered, and it is the work of the Holy Spirit to comfort and strengthen your heart through the pains and storms of life; Prov.23:18; Ps.73:26; 2Cor.12:9.

How does the Holy Spirit bring Comfort to the Believer?
He reveals Jesus to our spirit man through Salvation; 1Cor.12:3.

He opens our understanding in the Word of God, so our Faith comes alive to handle the challenges we face per time; 1Cor.2:9-11; Rom.10:17; Eph.6:16.

He baptizes us with the Spirit of Might so we can enforce our Dominion over the challenges and oppositions of life; Is.11:2; Eph.3:16.

He fills our hearts with the Spirit of Love, thereby bringing us into all the fullness of God in our day to day affairs; 2Tim.1:7; Eph.3:17-19.

He is the Spirit of Joy who enables us look past the discomfort of today as we pursue the glory ahead of us; Is.12:3; Heb.12:2.

It is my Prayer for you today, that you will access and enjoy the Comfort of the Holy Ghost in all aspects of your life and endeavors in Jesus Matchless Name.

TOPIC: DIVINE HELP SOURCES- 7.

TEXT: Jer.32:17
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

The Holy Spirit is ultimately the helper we all need. Serving God and pleasing Him consistently is virtually impossible by mere will-power and good-heartedness.

The natural man is grossly incapacitated when it comes to walking with God and keeping a relationship with Him. So the Holy Spirit is God’s gift to a redeemed soul to help him maintain a healthy relationship with God; 1Sam.2:9; Zech.4:6.

John mentioned earlier that Jesus would baptize with the Holy Ghost and with fire; and Jesus validated the statement by telling His disciples that He will send them another helper (comforter, counsellor, intercessor, advocate, sustainer, standby) of the same kind with Him; Mt.3:11; Jn.14:16. (We will explore all of these dimensions of the help of the Holy Spirit subsequently).

Basically, we access the help of the Holy Spirit at the Altar of Prayers. The place of Prayer is the place of Supernatural Helps- every help you will receive from God through men, systems, organizations, or Angels will be accessed and activated at the Altar of Prayer; Heb.4:16.

That is why the Holy Spirit is your ultimate gateway to Divine Helps – He is the only one who helps our infirmities (weaknesses) in Prayers. God knows that without Prayer you may die helpless- because you will never be able to provoke other gateways to His Help; so, He gave you the person of the Holy Spirit to be with you and to live in you forever; Rom.8:26; Jn.14:17.

Now, it is one thing to Pray; but until your Prayer aligns with the will of God, there will never be an answer from God. Again, the Holy Spirit is the only personality who empowers and helps you to pray according to the will of God, Thereby provoking assurance of answers to Prayers; 1Jn.5:14-15; Rom.8:27.

There are diversities of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit; but the Spirit of Grace and Supplications is actively responsible for an empowered, refreshing prayer life; Zech.12:10.

Praying in the Holy Ghost is also a most assured prayer protocol, that builds our Faith, and cuts out the devil and his cohorts from our supplications at the place of Prayer; 1Cor.14:2, 15; Jud.20.

How do I Access and Receive the Person of the Holy Spirit?
Have a Genuine Crave for the Person and Baptism of the Holy Spirit; Jn.7:37-39; Zech.10:1; Is.44:3.

Consciously ask for a fresh baptism with the Holy Spirit; Lk.24:49; Acts 1:5; 2:1-4.

Create an atmosphere of fellowship through intimate worship; 2Cor.13:14; Acts 13:1-2.

Maintain an atmosphere of Joy and Rejoicing in your spirit; Lk.10:21; Phil.4:4; 1Thes.5:16, 19.

I decree a release of the person and the baptism of the Holy Spirit upon you and within you in the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: DIVINE HELP SOURCES- 6.

Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

Angelic interventions are yet another major source of Divine Helps. God has never, and can never run out of options when it comes to Him showing up to help you.

Scriptures declare that Angels are ministering (serving) spirits sent forth to Minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation; Heb.1:14.

They are not only sent to you, they are sent for you- for your safety and preservation. God gives His angels charge over you so you don’t have to dash your feet against a stone; Ps.91:11-12.

The angels of the encamp roundabout them that fear the LORD, and delivers them; Ps.34:7.

What to Know about the Angels of God.
They excel in strength; that is, the fiercer the battle, the stronger they become; Ps.103:20.

They hearken to the Voice of the Lord or the Word of God; Ps.103:20b.

They never lose in battle; Rev.12:7-8. They always prevail.

They manifest Divine Wisdom; 2Sam.14:20.
They lead the charge of God’s army in every battle; Josh.5:13-15.

They operate faster than the speed of thought, making it seem like they are omnipresent; Gen.28:11-12; Judg.6:12-21.

They can take the form of a man or a Supernatural being; Gen.32:24-28; Lk.1:28-38.

They reap-in the harvest of the Kingdom; Mt.13:39.

A single Angel can overthrow any human army, their size notwithstanding; Is.37:33-36.

As believers we have an innumerable company of Angels at our disposal; Heb.12:22.

They cannot be restrained by the physical or material world; Acts 12-5-7.

How to Provoke/ Engage Angelic Intervention.
Commit to walking in Righteousness; Zech.3:1-5.

Commit to Word Study as a Lifestyle; Ps.103:20.

Maintain a healthy relationship with the Holy Spirit; Lk.10:2; Mt.13:39; Heb.1:7.

Watch what you say per time- speak Faith not error or foolishness; Eccl.5:6.

Be Conscious of Angelic presence at all times; Ps.34:7; 91:11-12.

Release your angels to action and warfare through heartfelt Prayers; Ps.2:8; Acts 12:1-10.

Today, in the name of Jesus, the same Angels that protect God’s people will slaughter the adversaries of your life and destiny.

TOPIC: DIVINE HELP SOURCES- 5

TEXT: Jer.32:17
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

Prophets are agents of Divine Helps to individuals, families, communities and nations.

When God is determined to bring help to His people, He raises a Prophet from their midst, or sends a Prophet to them. God unveils His plans for His people to His Prophets who communicate same without fear; Amos 3:7.

Invariably, Prophets don’t carry their own message but God’s message of hope, direction and instruction. In others words, the Help of God will usher in Hope and Direction out of the storms and challenges we face, and this is done through specific instructions.
The Prophets were with Ezra and the people as they built the house of the Lord, helping them; Ezra 5:1-2.

Saul had no business with becoming the King of Israel until his encounter with Samuel the Prophet; David was only a shepherd boy forgotten in the wilderness even by his own father and siblings until the Prophet Samuel came requesting for him to be sent for. Both Saul and David became King by a Prophetic intervention; 1Sam.10:1-9; 16:1-13.

The widow of Zarephath was picking up sticks to make the last meal she had in the house and wait for the day herself and her son will die of starvation, when the Prophet Elijah came around, requesting of her to make for him first; her simple obedience secured provision for her and her son until the rains returned; and when her son died, it would have been a lost case but the Prophet was available to stand in the gap and see the young man restored; 1Kgs.17:8-23.

The land was barren and the water of the city was bad; and the men of the city came to Elisha the Prophet to appeal for help, and he cast salt into the waters and proclaimed healing over the land and it was so; 1Kgs.2:19-22.

May be your lineage is cursed, things are no working, there’s hardness everywhere and struggles on every side; I can assure you by the Word of the Lord that there is healing for your land, healing for your body, for your soul, and healing for your spirit in the name of Jesus; Jer.30:17.

How to Secure Prophetic Interventions and Help.
Receive the Prophet in your heart in the name of the LORD; Mt.10:41.

Honour the Prophet in your heart; Jn.4:44; Mk.6:2-6.

Believe in the LORD, believe also in His Prophets; 2Chr.20:20; Jn.14:1.

Honour the Prophet with your resources; 1Kgs.17:8-16; 2Kgs.4:8-17.

Place value on their instructions by your prompt obedience; Jn.2:5-11; 2Kgs.4:1-7.

By a Prophet God brought Israel out of Egypt and by a Prophet was he preserved. May you and your household be preserved from all evil all through this season and beyond in the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: DIVINE HELP SOURCES- 4.

Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

One major platform through which God delivers His help to His people is through the supply of TIMELY INSIGHTS.

God’s Word declares that there is a Spirit in man and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding; Job 32:8.

Timely insights refer to inspired ideas that proffer solution to the situation at hand, and guarantees a sudden Supernatural Turnaround in the life of a man or a people.
When Joseph stood before Pharaoh, he said to him, “It is not in me, God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace;” Gen.41:15.

Joseph didn’t only interpret Pharaoh’s dreams, he was able to suggest a workable solution to the situation. Pharaoh said to his people; “where can we find a man as this?” and to Joseph he said, “there is no one so discreet and wise as thee, thou shall be over this matter;” Gen.41:38-44 (paraphrased).

Benzaleel and Aholiab led a team of craftsmen in the wilderness to build to pattern the temple which God showed to Moses because God gave them wisdom for the assignment; truly, with God, there is no hopeless case, and nothing is ever too hard to be delivered; Ex.31:1-6.

Daniel was supposedly a Jewish slave in Babylon but he excelled and reigned through a space of about 65years serving about five Kings- though the Kings and Kingdoms changed, Daniel’s relevance never waned. Daniel was said to be filled with the Spirit of the Holy God; and in him was Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, Interpreting of Dreams, Dissolving of hard sentences was found in the same Daniel; Dan.5:11-12; 6:3-5.

Beloved, your current challenge will amount to nothing if only you can access an inspired idea from God.

How to Access Divine Helps through Inspired Ideas.
Believe that there is always a way out of the current challenge or situation; 1Cor.10:13.

Be Joyful at all times; Is.12:3.

Walk in Spirit as a Lifestyle; Rev.1:10; Gal.5:16-17, 25; Ps.25:14.

Ask God for Insight and Wisdom to handle the situation you find yourself; Jas.1:5; Jn.8:1-11.

I decree in the name of Jesus, no matter the pressing issue around your life, marriage, business, career, ministry and finances, from this moment, God is showing you a way out in the name of Jesus.

Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

When the barrage of life’s attacks come, your only way out is to call out to God for His help. Crying out for help is not weakness but inner strength- it is strength of character to know what you can handle or control, and what is beyond your power to control.

However, God will not do for you what He has empowered you to do yourself, nor will He become troubled with your cries over the things He has given you the provisions to handle- surely He wants to help you, but He also wants you to take responsibility.

David and his men returned to their camp in Ziklag to see that the camp had been invaded and the city burnt, and all they had including their wives and children had been carried away. They cried from morning till evening, and at some point David’s men began considering stoning him as though he was responsible for their grief.

David encouraged Himself in the LORD. He sought for direction and approval from God and God assured him to go after the assailants, overtake them and without fail recover all. With God the case is never hopeless and the victory of the enemy is never conclusive- while they were engaged in merriment and were drinking, David and his came down hard on them; discomfited them and recovered all; 1Sam.30:1-8.

But David’s victory would be incomplete without a helper they met along the way- an Egyptian young man who these marauders left to die because he was ill; David gave him food and he was refreshed and he led them to the enemy camp – he switched side and helped them. David did not only recover what was taken by the Amalekites, he took the spoils of all the flocks and the herds; 1Sam.30:11-20.

Divine Guidance is a fundamental aspect of God’s means of helping His people; but until you ask for His help you’re not entitled to it. The help of God is the gateway to Supernatural Recovery and Restoration. Let God help you.

How to Secure the Help of God.
Acknowledge your need for God’s Guidance; Ezra 8:21-23.

Ask God to lead the way- when God leads the way, obstacles clear off on their own accord; Is.45:1-2.

Be Conscious of God’s abiding presence around your life. Oppositions bow out in His presence; Ps.114:1-7.

Never despise those who may need your own help too- you may need to help your helpers before you can access your own help; Eph.6:8; Prov.19:17.

It is my Prayer for you today, that God will come through for you in every area of your life and endeavors in Jesus Matchless Name.
