UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES
TEXT: John 7:37; Romans 13:12; Ephesians 5:15–17; Joel 2:1–5; 1 Chronicles 12:32

⏳ GOD IS GIVING US UNDERSTANDING TO REDEEM THE TIME!

We are living in a season that demands spiritual understanding, discernment, wisdom and urgency.

The Bible says, “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” — Ephesians 5:15–16

📖 WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT:

1️⃣ We are in the season of the Last Days.

The last days will be marked by:
• Deception
• Rumours of wars
• The beginning of sorrows
• Persecution
• Increasing iniquity and spiritual decline

Jesus warned that “because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” — Matthew 24:12

2️⃣ We are in a season of moral decline.

Paul described the character of the last days in 2 Timothy 3:1–5. This is a time when believers must guard their hearts and remain firmly rooted in Christ.

3️⃣ We are in an era of increased knowledge.

Daniel 12:4 speaks of a time when knowledge shall increase. We must understand the times without allowing the increase of information to replace spiritual wisdom.

4️⃣ We are in the end of the age.

This calls for greater spiritual alertness, faithfulness and readiness.

5️⃣ We are in a season of the dragon.

Scripture warns of the activity of the enemy in the last days (Revelation 12:13; 13:1). We must therefore remain spiritually awake and discerning.

⚠️ If you do not understand the timing of the season, you may miss what God is requiring of you in your time.

🔥 HERE ARE YOUR ROLES:

1️⃣ YOU NEED DISCERNMENT.
Like the sons of Issachar, we must understand the times so we can know what ought to be done (1 Chronicles 12:32).

2️⃣ YOU NEED ALIGNMENT.
Esther understood that her position was connected to a divine purpose for her generation (Esther 4:10–16).

3️⃣ YOU NEED WISDOM.
It is not enough to know what time it is; you must know what to do in that time.

Everybody has an assignment in these last days.

4️⃣ YOU NEED A SENSE OF URGENCY.

We must crush spiritual sleep and the spirit of slumber. This is not the season to become spiritually passive or careless.

⏰ WAKE UP. DISCERN THE SEASON. ALIGN WITH GOD. RECEIVE WISDOM. AND REDEEM THE TIME.

The question is not only, “What time are we in?”

The greater question is:

“WHAT IS GOD REQUIRING ME TO DO IN THIS TIME?”
