TOPIC: JESUS IS LORD

TEXT: ROMANS 10:9-12 (GNB)

If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved. … "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." This includes everyone...there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles; God is the same Lord of all and richly blesses all who call to him.

The greatest power in heaven and on earth is continually available and experienced by those who sincerely believe and acknowledge that Jesus is Lord! When you are declaring that Jesus is Lord, you are not just making a religious statement that has no power. What you are saying is full of so much power. By believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and boldly declaring that Jesus is Lord, you continually experience God’s saving power. Just as God saved you from sin and the devil’s dominion when you accepted and declared Jesus as Lord of your life, as you keep on acknowledging and declaring that Jesus is Lord, God will keep manifesting His glorious and mighty saving power in every area of your life.

Romans 10:12 (KJV) says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” To be saved here means to experience God’s intervention and power. Whenever you say Jesus is Lord, you are calling upon the name of the Lord. Our text above says God is the same Lord of all and He richly blesses all who call to Him. Our text above says whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed. Beloved, as you believe, acknowledge and declare that Jesus is Lord, you will not be disappointed in that situation. You will experience God’s rich blessings and power. God will show Himself strong in your life.

FAITH DECLARATION:
I ALWAYS REJOICE IN THE FACT THAT JESUS IS LORD AND RIGHT NOW, I DECLARE THAT JESUS IS LORD IN EVERY AREA OF MY LIFE, AMEN! 🤲

TOPIC: DOMINATE YOUR FLESH LIKE JESUS DID

TEXT: Matthew 26:40-41, Luke 22:41-42

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith …What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. *And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Jesus loved God the Father and pleasing God the Father above the flesh was the driving force of His life. We can see this in how Jesus responded to the temptations the devil threw at him in Luke 4:1-13. Jesus knew and declared the word of God to overcome the temptations of the flesh. Jesus gave Himself a lot to prayer and fellowshipping with God. Submitting to God empowers us to resist and overcome the devil, (James 4:7). Jesus woke up very early to pray (Mark 1:35) and sometimes He continued all night in prayer to God, (Luke 6:12). When His fame was spreading and His ministry activities were increasing, He did not allow that distract Him and make Him raise His shoulders in pride. He still withdrew Himself often to pray, (Luke 5:15-16, NIV). When some people wanted to take Him and force Him to be their king, Jesus perceived it and left for a mountain, probably to pray (John 6:15). Jesus did not do whatever He wanted to do, (John 5:19). He was always committed to doing what the Father wanted Him to do even when it was not convenient for the flesh.

It is very comforting to know that Jesus also had to face the challenge of making His Spirit dominate the flesh, and just as He was victorious in dominating the flesh by yielding to the Spirit, you also will be victorious by His mighty grace and ability in you, (Heb. 4:14-16).

Prayer:
Father, I thank you that the same ability Jesus had to dominate the flesh is also in me. Help me to dominate my flesh, Amen

THERE IS A REASON CHRIST CHOSE YOU

TEXT: John 15:16, Ephesians 2:10, 1 Peter 2:9

KEY VERSE: John 15:16, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit, fruit that will last…”

INTRODUCTION:
Many believers struggle with feelings of inadequacy, questioning their value or purpose in the kingdom of God. But Jesus makes a powerful statement: “You did not choose Me, I chose you.” You were not saved by accident. Christ intentionally called you, not just for salvation, but for a purpose. He chose you for relationship, for transformation, and for impact. Understanding that truth changes how we see ourselves and how we live.

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION

1. Why is it important to know that Christ chose us?
It gives us confidence and security in our identity. (Ephesians 1:4–5)

It reminds us that our worth comes from God’s love, not our performance. (Romans 5:8)

It shifts our mindset from striving to surrender. (John 15:16)

*2. What did Christ choose us for?*

To bear lasting fruit in our lives. (John 15:16)
To be His representatives and witnesses on earth. (2 Corinthians 5:20)

To walk in the good works He prepared for us. (Ephesians 2:10)

*3. What does being chosen by Christ mean for our daily lives?*

We are set apart to live differently. (1 Peter 2:9)
We live with purpose and direction, not aimlessly. (Jeremiah 29:11)

We are empowered to love, serve, and reflect Christ. (John 13:34–35)

*4. How can we live in response to being chosen?*
Stay connected to Christ, the true vine. (John 15:5)
Be faithful in the little things God has entrusted to you. (Luke 16:10)
Walk boldly, knowing you were chosen with intention and love. (Romans 8:30)

CONCLUSION:
You are not a mistake. Christ chose you on purpose and for a purpose. Whether you feel qualified or not, God’s calling on your life is real. He has appointed you to live a life that bears fruit and brings Him glory. Don’t disqualify yourself where God has already qualified you. Stand firm in your identity, walk in your calling, and remember, there is a reason Christ chose you.

TOPIC: YOUR PERSECUTION AND TRIALS ARE PERFECTING YOU

TEXT: HEBREWS 2:10 (CEV), HEBREWS 5:8-9 (GNB)

Everything belongs to God, and all things were created by his power. So God did the right thing when he made Jesus perfect by suffering, as Jesus led many of God's children to be saved and to share in his glory. *But even though he was God's Son, he learned through his sufferings to be obedient. When he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him*

In fulfilling the ministry and assignment that God has given us, there are persecutions and trials that we must go through. These persecutions and trials are not punishment from God, and they are not things like sickness that Jesus has suffered and died for us to have victory over. They are mainly challenges we will face from people and situations as we live for Christ and as we embark on fulfilling the assignment God has given us. For example, the reason Paul suffered the way that he did was not because of the things he did before he began to follow Jesus. It was because of the ministry and assignment that God had given him (Acts 9:15-16). Jesus also had to go through such suffering to prepare and perfect Him for the assignment God the Father had given Him.

One way we are perfected through persecution and trials is seen in how gold is purified in fire, and it becomes more valuable. Our faith is purified and strengthened (1Pet.1:7). The testing of our faith produces steadfastness and leads to our perfection (James 1:2-4). Our faith in God gets stronger as we exercise it in such situations. Another way we are perfected is that the things we go through produce compassion in us. Compassion makes us better ministers. We better understand what people go through and can help them overcome, just like Jesus does for us (Heb. 4:14-16).

PRAYER:
HEAVENLY FATHER, I THANK YOU THAT MY PERSECUTION AND TRIALS ARE STRENGTHENING MY FAITH AND BUILDING COMPASSION INSIDE ME, AMEN

TOPIC: KNOW AND FULFILL YOUR MINISTRY

TEXT: COLOSSIANS 4:17 (KJV, TPT, CEV), EPHESIANS 4:7

And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. *Be sure you give Archippus this message: “Be faithful to complete the ministry you received from our Lord Jesus!” *Remind Archippus to do the work that the Lord has given him to do. *But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Every believer has received a ministry from the Lord Jesus Christ. This ministry is a function or service God wants us to carry out to bless others. Like every part of your body has a specific role or function, as a part of the Body of Christ, you also have a specific role or function. In Christ, God has gifted and equipped you for the ministry/ assignment He has given you. We do not choose our ministry or assignment, we discover it. We discover it as we serve and receive training in the Body of Christ and as we follow the leading of the Spirit.

Every ministry is a reflection of Christ and we all are ambassadors of Christ. Every believer has been given the ministry of reconciliation, (2 Cor.5:18-20). No matter your ministry, you must do the work of an evangelist. “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry,” (2Tim.4:5). Don’t despise your ministry, magnify it, (Rom.11:13). Do not compare yourself and compete with others. Cooperate and work effectively together with others, (Eph.4:16). Keep growing into the fullness of Christ. Do not allow anything to move or discourage you (Acts 20:24). Be steadfast and unmovable and give yourself abundantly to the work of the Lord. Your labour is not in vain in the Lord, (1 Cor.15:58). Jesus Himself will reward you, (Rev.22:12).

PRAYER:
HEAVENLY FATHER, AS I GROW INTO THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST, PLEASE HELP ME TO KNOW AND ADEQUATELY FULFILL THE MINISTRY YOU HAVE GIVEN ME, AMEN🙏🏽

TOPIC: GUARD YOUR HEART FROM BITTERNESS AND OFFENSE

TEXT: Psalms 106:32-33, Hebrews 12:14-15

They angered him also at the waters of strife so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes: Because they provoked his spirit so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips. *Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Instead of speaking to the rock as God told him to, out of anger Moses spoke harshly to the people and then struck the rock twice. Though water still came out abundantly from the rock, God was not pleased with Moses, (Numb.20:8-12). If we are not careful, what happened to Moses can happen to anyone; especially when you are a leader.

One major way to guard your heart against bitterness and offense is by not losing sight of the love and kindness of God. When you focus more on the wickedness and hurt men give to you, bitterness and offense will take root in your heart. But when you focus more on the love and kindness of God, your heart will be so filled with the love of God that instead of allowing the evil that men do to provoke and overcome you, you will find yourself overcoming evil with good, (Rom.12:19-21).

Another way to guard your heart is by always yielding to the leading of the Spirit of God. God is always at work in you by His Spirit, making you willing and able to do His good will, (Phil.2:13). As you yield to the Spirit, instead of fulfilling the lusts of your flesh, you will develop the fruit of the Spirit, (Gal.5:16-23). “If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day. Don't give the Devil a chance,” (Eph.4:26-27, GNB). Yield to the Spirit of God.

Prayer:
Dear Father, please help me to always focus on your great love and kindness and to keep yielding myself to your Spirit, Amen 🤲

‎TOPIC: GOD WANTS YOU TO BE MORE IMPACTFUL AND EFFICIENT

‎TEXT: EXODUS 18:13-15 & 17

The next day Moses was settling disputes among the people, and he was kept busy from morning till night. When Jethro saw everything that Moses had to do, he asked, "What is all this that you are doing for the people? Why are you doing this all alone, …" Moses answered, "I must do this because the people come to me to learn God's will. *Then Jethro said, "You are not doing this right.

‎Moses was zealously and faithfully leading the Israelites (who were about 2 million in number) all by himself. However he was ignorant about something he was doing that was limiting his leadership impact and efficiency. In the same way, there may be things both you and many other leaders are ignorant of that can greatly enhance your impact and efficiency. God sent Moses wisdom through Jethro and by that wisdom, Moses’ leadership impact and efficiency were phenomenally enhanced. Various leaders were chosen according to their capacities, to join Moses in leading the Israelites, (Exo.18:21). More people were eventually empowered and built into leadership.

‎I pray that God will send you wisdom today that will help you take what you are doing to the next level. I pray the same for all our leaders in this nation and the Body of Christ. May the Lord phenomenally increase our impact and efficiency by opening our eyes to great and relevant wisdom. May we not resist or miss out on the wisdom that God sends to us through various sources.

‎We must, however, always be open and willing to learn and to try new things. Don’t be stuck in your old ways. Also, be willing to evaluate your work and think of ways you can improve and be more efficient.

PRAYER FOCUS:

ASK GOD TO SEND YOU AND OTHER LEADERS, GREAT WISDOM THAT WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASE IN LEADERSHIP IMPACT AND EFFICIENCY.

TOPIC: THE FOCUS AND CONTENTMENT OF JESUS

TEXT: LUKE 4:5-8 (GNB)

Then the Devil took him up and showed him in a second all the kingdoms of the world. "I will give you all this power and all this wealth," the Devil told him. "It has all been handed over to me, and I can give it to anyone I choose. All this will be yours, then, if you worship me." Jesus answered, "The scripture says, 'Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!'"

In our world today, power and wealth are two things that many people are willing to do about anything to get. Power and wealth have become a god to many people. It is what they worship though they claim they are worshipping God. The Bible shows us that covetousness is idolatry, (Col.3:5b). Whatever you allow to take the place of God in your life has become a god to you. God wants us to be content and to worship Him alone. Jesus said, “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses,” (Luke 12:15). 1 Timothy 6:6 & 10 says, “But godliness with contentment is great gain. *For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

There was a time when Jesus refused to be forcefully made king by certain people, (John 6:15). Jesus knew the path God wanted Him to take and He was willing to patiently go through it. Jesus was willing to worship God alone and as He followed God’s path for His life, He eventually received all power in Heaven and earth, (Matt.28:18, Phil.2:9). Jesus was not carried away by power, titles or fame. He did not allow His popularity and many activities to stop Him from withdrawing Himself often to pray (Luke 5:16, NIV).

PRAYER:

HEAVENLY FATHER, LIKE JESUS, PLEASE HELP ME TO REMAIN CONTENT, AND FOCUSED ON YOU AND TO FOLLOW YOU AS I FULFILL MY ASSIGNMENT, AMEN 🙏

TOPIC: HAVE A STRONG RIGHTEOUSNESS CONSCIOUSNESS

TEXT: ROMANS 10:4 (KJV, NLT, LB)

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. *For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God. They don't understand that Christ gives to those who trust in him everything they are trying to get by keeping his laws. He ends all of that.

God does not define righteousness by the obeying of the Law but by our having faith in Christ. Romans 3:21-22 (GNB) says, “But now God's way of putting people right with himself has been revealed. It has nothing to do with law, .... God puts people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, ...” If you believe in Jesus, you are righteous. It is when you believe that you are righteous that you will be able to live a righteous life.

There is a divine exchange that took place on the Cross. Christ took our place and became our sin so that we can take His place and become His righteousness, (2 Cor.5:21). Jesus has forgiven and taken away all your sins. God has no record of them and He will never have a record of them, (Jer.31:34, Heb.8:12). “For God was in Christ, restoring the world to himself, no longer counting men's sins against them but blotting them out. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others”, (2Cor.5:19, LB). God's righteousness is a gift that comes along with His grace in Christ and He wants you to receive it abundantly, (Rom.5:17). By your faith in Christ, you now stand before God, man and the devil without a single sense of guilt or inferiority. You are perfect in the sight of God (Heb.10:14) and you have a right to all of the power and the blessings and the glory of God.

FAITH DECLARATION:

MY FAITH IN CHRIST HAS MADE ME RIGHTEOUS. I MANIFEST GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS AND I HAVE A RIGHT TO THE FULLNESS OF GOD, AMEN 🤲

TOPIC: YOU SHALL NOT EXPERIENCE SHAME

TEXT: JOEL 2:25-26, PSALMS 3:3

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, ... And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. *But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

By His sufferings and death on the Cross for you, Jesus has taken away your shame, sorrow and pains, (Isa.53:3-5). Even when it seems like you are experiencing shame even when you are doing what is right, know that God is going to turn it around. A greater joy and glory is coming ahead of you, (1Pet.4:16, Isa. 61:7). Keep your trust in God. Isaiah 49:23 (GNB) says, “Kings will be like fathers to you; queens will be like mothers. They will bow low before you and honor you; they will humbly show their respect for you. Then you will know that I am the LORD; no one who waits for my help will be disappointed." Beloved, do not give up. Isaiah 50:7 (CEV) says, “But the LORD God keeps me from being disgraced. So I refuse to give up because I know God will never let me down”. God is the lifter of your head.

The Bible says whoever believes in Jesus shall not be put to shame, (Rom.9:33, Rom.10:11). You shall not be put to shame. God loves you so much and your hope will not be disappointed, (Rom.5:5). Study, prepare yourself and be diligent in every area of your life, (2Tim.2:15). Avoid doing things you know you will be ashamed of later, (2Cor.4:2 & Rom.6:21). Be bold to testify and stand for Christ, (2Tim.1:8). As you abide in Christ by remaining in faith and fellowship with Him, you will not be ashamed both now and when He returns, (1John 2:28).

FAITH DECLARATION:
GOD IS MY GLORY, MY SHIELD, AND THE LIFTER OF MY HEADS. I SHALL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME. GOD'S JOY AND GLORY ARE MY PORTION.*
