TOPIC: SUPERNATURAL WISDOM (1)

TEXT: MARK 6:2–3

And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, …? And they were offended at him.

When Jesus was on the earth, He operated by supernatural wisdom. By virtue of His life in you, you also operate by supernatural wisdom. “Christ has become your wisdom,” (1 Cor. 1:30). You function by the wisdom of Christ, for you have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16).

Solomon operated in great wisdom, and he is considered the wisest man that ever lived; but the wisdom of Christ far exceeds that of Solomon (Matt. 12:42). Daniel was described as one having the spirit of the gods and the wisdom of the gods (Dan. 5:11, 14), but you have the Spirit of Christ (Rom. 8:9) and the wisdom of Christ. As you keep focusing on Christ and filling yourself with the revelation of Christ, the wisdom of Christ in you will grow and manifest more and more.

Wisdom helps you build/produce great things and great lives (Prov. 24:3), and wisdom strengthens you (Prov. 24:5). Wisdom is better than weapons of war (Eccl. 9:18). By the supernatural wisdom of Christ, you shall be strong and you shall do great and mighty works that will amaze many. As Jesus always knew what to do (John 6:6), you shall always know what to do. You shall never be confused in life. Whenever you need practical wisdom for any situation, pray in faith and ask God for it. He will abundantly fill you with it (James 1:5).

FAITH DECLARATION:

BY VIRTUE OF THE LIFE OF CHRIST IN ME, I OPERATE BY SUPERNATURAL WISDOM. I MAKE GREAT IMPACT AND DO MIGHTY EXPLOITS, AMEN🙏🏽

HAPPY NEW MONTH

TOPIC: YOU’RE THE BRANCH OF A NEW TREE

TEXT: MATTHEW 12:33 (GNB), JOHN 3:6, GALATIANS 5:22-23

*"To have good fruit you must have a healthy tree; if you have a poor tree, you will have bad fruit. A tree is known by the kind of fruit it bears. *That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. *But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Your understanding of the type of tree you are is the key to the type of fruit you will produce in your life. Your acknowledgment of the new nature of God that is now in you is what makes you produce the attributes of God in your life. By your faith in Christ, your DNA has changed. You now have a new life and belong to a new bloodline. God has given birth to you (John 1:12-13) by His word (1Pet.1:23) and His Spirit (1 Cor. 12:3 & 13). You are God’s offspring so you are just like Him. You are a new creature in Christ. Old things have passed away and all things have become new (2 Cor.5:17).

Your old man died with Christ and you now have Christ’s Life in you. All you need to do is acknowledge or take this truth into account because it has already been done by God in Christ, (Rom.6:6-11).

Because of the nature of God in you, you can manifest love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance just like God. It is one fruit that has various manifestations. Ephesians 5:9 also says, “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth”. As a result of the nature of God that’s in you, you can manifest all goodness righteousness and truth just like God because He is your Daddy and you have His Spirit in you.

PRAYER:

HEAVENLY FATHER, THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME YOUR CHILD AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR DIVINE LIFE AND NATURE THAT ARE IN ME, AMEN🙏🏽

TOPIC: THE STRENGTH AND SPEED OF THE SPIRIT IS UPON YOU

TEXT: JUDGES 15:14-15 (LB), 1 KINGS 18:46 (LB)

As Samson and his captors arrived at Lehi, … the strength of the Lord came upon Samson, and the ropes with which he was tied snapped like thread and fell from his wrists! Then he picked up a donkey’s jawbone that was lying on the ground and killed a thousand Philistines with it. *and the Lord gave special strength to Elijah so that he was able to run ahead of Ahab’s chariot to the entrance of the city!

In the same way that people were wondering and asking what the source of Samson’s strength was, people shall wonder and ask about the source of your strength and speed. By the strength and speed of the Spirit, you will find yourself performing beyond your human strength and limitations. You shall overcome great challenges and make great impact by the supernatural power of the Spirit at work in your life. And your results will attract people to know and put their faith in Christ. Your testimonies will stir up faith in the lives of others.

Ahab had not only gone ahead of Elijah, he went with his chariots. But by the power of the Spirit, Elijah outran Ahab and his chariots. By the strength and speed of the Spirit, you will run, you will overtake and you will take over. It was by the Spirit of God that Bezaleel was filled with wisdom, understanding and knowledge in all manner of skills needed for the constructing the tabernacle, (Exo.31:1-5). It was by the Spirit Joseph provide baffling economic solutions for Egypt’s economy, (Gen.41:37-40). The Spirit of God will make you more creative and resourceful in every area of your life. Samson used the jaw bone of an ass that was lying around to win a battle some armies may not have won with sophisticated weapons. With your available resources, you will achieve more by the Spirit, than people with better resources.

FAITH DECLARATIONS:
The strength and speed of the Spirit are upon me. I overcome my human limitations and I produce great results on time, Amen

TOPIC: HOW TO BE SAFE FROM DECEPTION

TEXT: Ephesians 4:14-15, John 8:31-32

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: …If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

One of the signs Jesus gave of the end times, is that there will be many false Christs and false prophets who will be out to deceive people, (Matt. 24:24). The devil’s major weapon against us is wiles (lies and tricks). The best way we can protect ourselves from the devil’s diverse onslaught of deception against us is for us to be committed to knowing and growing in the truth of Christ.

As Paul departed the church at Ephesus, he warned the leaders of the church to beware of grievous wolves who will come among them and not spare the flock. He recommended that they stay focused on the revelation of the grace of God, which will build them up and make them experience their inheritance in Christ, (Acts 20:24-32, Col.3:16).

The best way to discern a fake/lie is to be very conversant with the original/truth. A believer who is not deliberately focusing on Christ and growing spiritually is unconsciously exposing himself to deception and exploitation (Col.2:8, 16-23). As we grow and mature spiritually, we are better able to discern between good and evil, (Heb.5:11-14). Spiritual maturity is measured by how much our lives conform to Christ. As we focus on Christ, the Spirit of God transforms us from glory to glory into the image of Christ (2Cor.3:18).

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, please help me to keep knowing Christ and growing into the full stature of Christ by your Spirit.

TOPIC: WE ARE IN THE DAYS OF HIS POWER

TEXT: PSALMS 110:1-3

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

In our text above, David was prophetically speaking about the things God the Father will say to Jesus after His resurrection (Heb.1:13). As the Head of the Church, Jesus finished His assignment on the earth and left. God the Father then told Jesus to sit at His right hand until He makes His enemies His footstool. The way He is achieving this, is by empowering the remaining parts of the Body of Christ (the Church) to conquer the same way Jesus has conquered. That way, all His enemies (sin, sickness, poverty, the devil and all evil) will be under the feet (lowest part) of the Body of Christ (the Church) as Christ's footstool.

Right now, the victory and fullness of Christ is filling us all in all (Eph.1:23). God is causing us to triumph in Christ (2Cor.2:14). We are in the days of His power! The power of Christ! And the Gospel is the power! (Rom.1:16). As we believe and declare the Gospel of Christ, the power of God is manifested (Gal.3:5). In the days of His power, His people (the Church) shall be willing! The more we preach the Gospel and believers are conscious of the power and victory of Christ, the more believers will be willing to pray, willing to give, willing to preach, willing to do signs and wonders, willing to love others, willing to live right, willing to do exploits like my husband, Archbishop Benson Idahosa did. He had faith and did exploits for God by his faith in the power of Christ.

PRAYER:

FATHER, I THANK YOU FOR THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST THAT IS FILLING ME AS I RECEIVE THE GOSPEL. BY THE POWER OF CHRIST, I DO GREAT EXPLOITS!

TOPIC: BE EAGER TO MANIFEST THE GIFTS AND POWER OF THE SPIRIT

TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 12:1, 7, 31, 1 CORITHIANS 14:1a(NKJV, CEV)

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: *But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: *But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way. *Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, …. *Love should be your guide. Be eager to have the gifts that come from the Holy Spirit…

One reason many believers are not manifesting the gifts and power of the Spirit is that they are not eager for it. So many believers still think that manifesting the supernatural is solely for spiritual leaders, but Jesus said these signs shall follow them that believe. Verse 7 in our text above says the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one of us. It is a gift you have freely received from Christ. The Bible says, “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ, Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men,” (Eph. 4:7-8).

One reason many believers are not eager to manifest the supernatural is that they are ignorant of spiritual gifts. How much have you studied about what each of the spiritual gifts are and how to manifest them? How many messages have you listened to about spiritual gifts?

You don’t qualify or pay a price to be able to manifest spiritual gifts. You manifest them simply by faith in Christ, (Acts 3:11-16). God manifests them through you to glorify Christ and to be a blessing to the lives of others, (Rom.1:11). If you don’t desire to manifest the gifts of the Spirit, you will never manifest them. Desire to demonstrate the Spirit and power of God as a confirmation of the power of the Gospel, (1Cor.2:4).

ACTION POINT:

THANK GOD FOR GIVING YOU THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT AND TELL GOD YOU ARE EAGER TO MANIFEST THEM. PRAY IN OTHER TONGUES, AMEN🙏🏽

TOPIC: PRAY FERVENTLY FOR FELLOW BELIEVERS*l

TEXT: Colossians 4:12, Ephesians 6:18, Luke 22:31-32a

Epaphras, … is one of you…, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. *Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; *…Simon… Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee*

Praying for others is something that should always be a part of our prayer time; especially for fellow believers. In Romans 1:9, Paul said, “For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;” In Ephesians 1:15-16 he said, “Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;” Epaphras did not just pray for others, he laboured fervently in prayers for others. Do you know that when Jesus was on the earth, He prayed fervently for all His disciples and followers; including you and me who will come to know Him? (John 17:20) After doing that, Jesus is still interceding for us right now before God the Father, (Heb.7:25). Jesus’ prayer for Peter prevented Peter from being sifted as wheat by the devil.

Pray for new converts. Pray for me. Pray for the church and all ministers of the Gospel. Pray prayers based on the revelation of Christ. Pray based on the things you are aware other believers are going through even in other nations. Pray for God’s strength and intervention in their lives. Spend time praying in the Spirit for other believers. You may not know the great help, power, blessings and glory of God your prayers are causing to manifest in the lives of other believers.

Action Point:

Pray in the Spirit and ask God to help believers around you stand perfect and complete in His will for their lives.

TOPIC: PRAY FOR THE SALVATION OF THE LEADERS OF OUR NATION

TEXT: 1TIMOTHY 2:1-4

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

As we pray for the salvation of all men, it is important that we also pray specifically for the salvation of our leaders and influential people in general.

Many times, it can seem difficult to reach leaders and influential people with the Gospel of Christ. The challenges of their position/responsibilities as well as the kind of advisers around them can also pose a hindrance. But as we pray for their salvation, the grace of God that brings salvation will appear to them. The glorious light of the Gospel of Christ will shine on them. Just like Paul, many of them are going to have a Damascus Road encounter with Jesus, (Acts 9:1-6).

When leaders and influential people get saved, they will lead well and make policies that will lead to societal growth and development as well as the spread of the Gospel of Christ. They will influence people positively and in the right path. When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice, (Prov.29:2). God can make those in authority become saved and righteous. This is why we must pray for their salvation. As we speak truth to power and hold our leaders accountable, we must not forget to pray for them; especially for their salvation. God loves them too and God is counting on us to pray for their salvation.

PRAYER:

Father, we pray for the salvation of leaders and people of influence. May the light of the Gospel shine upon their hearts.

TOPIC: DO IT OUT OF LOVE AND PASSION FOR GOD

TEXT: JOHN 20:17 (NIV), JOHN 3:16 (TPT)

The third time he said to him, “Simon…do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. *For this is how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.

Jesus could have simply told Peter to feed His sheep. But Jesus first had to ask three times if Peter loved Him, because God wants everything we do for Him to be motivated by our love for Him; which is an outflow or response to our receiving His great love for us. Whatever we do for God that is not born out of love for God is nothing before God, (1Cor.13:1-3). The Bible doesn’t just say God will not forget our labour; it says God will not forget our labour of love, (Heb.6:10).

God doesn’t want our preaching the Gospel or anything else we do for Him to be motivated by any fear of punishment or because we want to gain recognition or favour from men. What motivated God to send Jesus to save the world was His great love for all men and this must also be our motivation to preach the Gospel and do all we do for God.

God showed us His great love by sending Jesus to die for us even when we were still sinners, (Rom.5:8). Just as God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting men’s sins against them, He has also committed unto us the message of reconciliation, (2Cor.5:19). Do not be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God that makes men experience God saving and intervening power in their lives, (Rom.1:16).

PRAYER:

Father, I thank you for the great love you have shown me in Christ. May this your love drive me in all I do for you.

TOPIC: DON’T WASTE SUCH A GREAT OPPORTUNITY

TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 9:16 (KJV, TPT)

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! *For you see, even though I proclaim the good news, I can’t take the credit for my labors, for I am compelled to fulfill my duty by completing this work. It would be agony to me if I did not constantly preach the gospel!

When Paul said, “Woe is me if I preach not the gospel,” he was not saying God will place a curse on him if he doesn’t preach the Gospel, or that something bad will happen to him. One of the meanings of the Greek word used for woe there is ‘alas’. It is an exclamation used to express grief; for example, when a person misses a great opportunity. It is the same way you will feel as a footballer when other players have dribbled everybody on the pitch including the goalkeeper, and then the ball is passed to you in front of the open goal post; but instead of simply kicking the ball into the empty goal post, you kicked the ball to the side of the goalpost or the throw area.

On the Cross, God the Father and Jesus have done everything necessary for the salvation of mankind. Now, God has filled you with His Spirit and given you the simple task of telling people about God’s love and what Jesus did on the Cross so they can receive their salvation. Paul was saying he would feel very bad to waste such a glorious opportunity.

It is a rare privilege we have. We are not doing God a favour by preaching the Gospel. It’s God that’s doing us a favour by giving us the opportunity to join Him in His process and plan of bringing His love and salvation to mankind. Yet He will also reward us for it, (Rev.22:12).

PRAYER:

FATHER, I THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT PRIVILEGE TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO OTHERS. HELP ME TO MAXIMIZE THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY, AMEN 🤲

TOPIC: IT IS TIME TO GO!

TEXT: Matthew 28:18-20

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

This wonderful word ‘go’, is one of the most powerful words in the entire Bible. It is a summary of our mission, mandate, purpose and God’s greatest desire for all men. It’s the summary of Jesus’ last words before He ascended and it is something He wants to always drive us every single day and moment of our lives. Jesus has commanded you and me to ‘go’ into all the world to preach the Gospel of the love of God and all He has done for us and to raise disciples for Him.

All of God’s glorious might and power is backing and accompanying you as you go. By the virtue of the power of the Holy Spirit, you have been empowered to be an effective witness for Christ. Make use of this power today. God is counting on you. After God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power, He did not sit down in one place. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, (Acts 10:38). He knew He was the light of the world and He carried out His mission with a sense of urgency, (John 9:4-5). It is only as we go that signs and wonders will follow us, (Mark 16:15-17). As the Father by His love and power sent Jesus to come down to earth to die for the salvation of all men, so Jesus by His love and power has sent you now to preach the Gospel about what He did, so that men can experience His love and saving power, (John 20:21).

Prayer:

Father, I am willing to go out and preach the Gospel and raise disciples for you. Thank you for your power. Use me, Lord.
