The washing of the feet (also called mandatum) holds many layers of significance for us, Christians. The mandatum ritualizes Christโ€™s action on the night before He died when He showed his disciples an example of how they are to love one another in imitation of his love for them.

It is a ritual that signifies our participation in Christ's mission of love and service to one another and to those in need in our world today.

EXCEEDING LIMITS Ephesians 3:14-21.

Ephesians 3:20, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."

We give God praise for bringing us into the beginning of another year. Our focus for the year 2022 is to exceed limits. Some of the common synonyms of exceed are: excel, outdo, outstrip, surpass, and transcend. While all these words mean "to go or be beyond a stated or implied limit, measure, or degree," exceed implies going beyond a limit set by authority or established by custom or previous achievement. Exceeding limit means, to go beyond your limits, even though you are not supposed to or it is against the law.

There is nothing on planet earth that is above God, for by Himself were all things created. God can do, undo, overdo, extra-do, and mega-do anything beyond human comprehension; where man stops is where God starts. We serve the only Almighty God that acts beyond the boundaries and limits of men. Our text says, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that _we ask or_ think, according to the power that works in us."

This confirms the fact that God can do greater things beyond our imagination in order to show His Almightiness. So, any person, nation or situation playing with God does not understand who God is. God can convert absolute impossibilities to limitless possibilities. We serve a God who dares the impossible and does the unthinkable. He performed the miracle of creating a highway in the Red Sea, the miracle of providing water from the rock for about three and a half million people to drink for forty years. He is the impossibility Specialist.

We read in Genesis 1:1, that, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Everything that is lacking in your life, the LORD will create it afresh and put it in place for you. Whatsoever that is not there in your life, the LORD will call it into existence. In John 2:1-11, we are told how Jesus turned water into wine, and in verse 11, the Bible says, "This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him." As we begin this year get ready for the miraculous, for the LORD will perform great miracles in your life and family in order to manifest His glory.

Prayers: The LORD cause you to exceed limits this year!
The LORD overdo and mega-do in your life and family this year!
The LORD honour and prosper you this year! The LORD open unto you the treasure house of heaven this year!
The LORD help you to conquer new grounds this year!
The LORD open His heavens unto you, and pour upon you unlimited wealth in thy mighty name of Jesus!
Go forth and exceed limits in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
