Bandits Demand ₦28.9m for Their Lost Motorcycles Before Negotiations Begin for 166 Worshippers Abducted in Kurmin Wali, Kaduna”
Bandits who abducted 166 Christian worshippers from Kurmin Wali, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State are demanding ₦28.9 million for 17 motorcycles they claim were lost during recent military operations. The abductors insist the money must be paid before any ransom negotiations can begin.
The worshippers were taken during coordinated attacks on multiple churches on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Eleven victims escaped, while women and children remain in captivity. Security agencies have confirmed the abduction and say rescue efforts are ongoing.
