Yesterday, we laid our sister, Bar. (Mrs.) Peace Alalewa Ebienju-Olaka, to rest. It was a moment filled with mixed emotions — sorrow over the brevity of her stay on earth, yet overwhelming gratitude for the remarkable impact she made on humanity and her unquestionable walk with God.

Bar. Peace will be greatly missed by many, but we find solace in the Scriptures, which assure us of meeting again on the resurrection morning.

We pray that God, in His infinite mercy, will comfort her husband , children, extended family, church, community, professional associations, and everyone whose life she touched. May He grant them strength and peace during this difficult time.

The burial ceremony witnessed the presence of both present and former Chaplains of Our Saviour’s Chapel, Uniport, Bishops Emeritus,Clergy, traditional rulers, members of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Nigerian Medical Association, and many other dignitaries and associations.

Earlier today, a Valedictory Court Session was held in honour of our sister, Bar. (Mrs.) Peace Alalewa Ebienju-Olaka, at the Nchia High Court, Ogale, where the Nigerian Bar Association, in keeping with its tradition, conducted a farewell session for their departed colleague.

Barrister Peace will be remembered for the remarkable legacy she left behind, both within the legal profession and in the Nigerian Bar Association.

Yesterday, 20th May, 2026, testimonies were shared about our late sister, Bar. (Mrs.) Peace Alalewa Ebienju-Olaka, who has finished her race and gone to be with the Lord. Tributes highlighted the remarkable impact she made in the Church of God and in the lives of everyone around her. She was described as an exemplary Christian in her roles as a sister, daughter, mother, wife, colleague, and teacher in the Children’s Department of Our Saviour’s Chapel, Uniport.

The family and everyone affected by her departure were encouraged to remain strong in the Lord, emulate the good legacy of our departed sister in their journey of life, and strive to finish their race at the feet of Jesus Christ.

The prayers of the Church will continually be with the family.

Your kind is rare, and we will not only continue to appreciate you but also pray that God Almighty, in whose name you do all these things, will continually remember you and grant the desires of your heart.
