Message: The Heart of Service
Text: Psalm 78:70–72; Psalm 89:20–25; Matthew 20:20–23
Bishop Linus Midalla
The heart of service is central to effective ministry.
Ministry is not just about availability—it requires skill, growth, and continuous development.
We must intentionally build our capacity and expertise in whatever we do for the Kingdom.
Above all, your heart must be right with God. Greatness in the Kingdom is not determined by position or recognition, but by the condition of your heart.
When your heart is aligned with God, your service becomes acceptable and impactful.
Do not be distracted or discouraged by what people say. As long as your heart is right toward God and committed to His Kingdom, you are on the right path.
When the heart is wrong, even the right actions lose their value.
Service is the act of going out of your way to be useful—meeting the needs of others and advancing the work of God.
It is more than activity; it is a heart posture.
God has blessed everyone in one way or another, and we are called to be a blessing in His Kingdom.
Do everything from your heart, not for recognition but as an offering to God.
When your heart is not right with God, certain desires and expectations may remain unfulfilled. This is because God is more concerned with your inner condition than your outward performance.
Ministry is service, and it requires the right attitude—humility, willingness, and sincerity.
God does not assign a position without also releasing the grace and anointing needed for it.
He equips those He calls.
Service adds beauty and glory to a person’s life. It shapes character, builds legacy, and reflects God’s nature.
Therefore, be faithful with what God has placed in your hands. Serve diligently, serve sincerely, and most importantly, serve with the right heart.
