Topic: God is the Source of Increase
Ministering: Pastor Henry Ayede
Text: 1 Corinthians 3:6–8
Human effort alone cannot produce the God-kind of wealth and increase. True increase comes from God. As written in 1 Corinthians 3:6, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” This reminds us that while men may labour, only God has the power to bring true growth and increase.
It is God’s desire that we operate in “The Blessing,” because The Blessing reflects God’s nature and His covenant with His people. God desires that His children increase in every area of life — spiritually, financially, physically, and emotionally.
Our perception and relationship with God should not be limited to what we can receive at a particular moment. God is greater than our immediate needs, and His plans for us go beyond temporary provisions.
No human being has the capacity to produce at the level God produces. Human abilities and resources are limited, but God’s provision and increase are unlimited.
The early church experienced divine increase because God added to them daily as they remained united and steadfast (Acts 2:46–47). Likewise, God desires prosperity and well-being for His children as seen in 3 John 1:2. He is also our provider who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
True and lasting increase comes from God. Human effort is important, but divine increase is only made possible through God’s blessing and provision.
