The Reach Out Nigeria Carnival Float organized by members of Christ Embassy Doxa Church was a vibrant and inspiring celebration marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary. With colorful displays, music, and dance, the float brought excitement and joy to the streets, capturing the spirit of unity and patriotism. Members of the church actively distributed free copies of the Rhapsody of Realities daily devotional, a publication filled with uplifting messages, articles, and prayers for the nation. The event was more than just a carnival.

it was a demonstration of love, hope, and a renewed commitment to building a brighter future for Nigeria. Through this outreach, Christ Embassy Doxa Church not only celebrated the nation’s independence but also shared God’s Word, reminding citizens of the greater freedom found in Christ.

Mother’s Day at Christ Embassy Doxa Church was nothing short of extraordinary. Held in a warm, joy-filled atmosphere, the event brought together families and friends to honor the remarkable women who nurture, pray, and sacrifice daily. This year’s celebration stood out with a unique and lively highlight: a cooking competition that not only entertained but also brought a deeper appreciation for the culinary gifts of our fathers, in honour of our mothers.

The event began with a heartfelt worship session, setting a spiritual tone that reminded everyone of the God-given role of mothers. Pastor shared an inspiring message centered on Proverbs 31, emphasizing the strength, wisdom, and virtue of a godly woman. It was a timely reminder of the invaluable presence of mothers in both the family and the church.

Following the sermon, the celebration shifted gears into a festive mode. The main attraction of the day, the cooking competition, sparked laughter, camaraderie, and healthy rivalry. Several teams of mothers, and a few brave fathers and youth, participated in the challenge, each showcasing their best recipes. The church hall was soon filled with the tantalizing aroma of spices, soups, grilled meats, and traditional dishes that told stories of culture, love, and home.

Judges were selected from a panel of women all eager to taste the diverse dishes prepared. The criteria included taste, creativity, presentation, and teamwork. The competition was fierce but friendly, with each participant pouring their heart into their cooking. Cheers erupted as each dish was brought forward, from spicy jollof rice to fried chickens and turkey, Etc

This Mother’s Day at Christ Embassy Doxa Church was truly special, as the fathers stepped into the kitchen to honor the amazing women in their lives. Through the lively cooking competition, they showed appreciation in a heartfelt and humorous way. It was a beautiful display of love, unity, and gratitude that made the day unforgettable for every mother present.
