Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere honoured with ICON of Hope Award
......Conferred with Honorary Distinguished Associate Fellowship
The Institute for Humanitarian Studies and Social Development honoured the Founder and General Overseer Omega Power Ministries (OPM), HRM King Apostle Dr Chibuzor Gift Chinyere with Humanitarian ICON of Hope.
In an investiture ceremony during the Institutes 16th Annual Humanitarian Public Lecture and Induction ceremony in Commemoration of the World Humanitarian Day 2026 held on Saturday 22nd August 2026 at Haris Hotel Abuja, the Institute also confered on OPM's G.O with Honorary Distinguished Associate Fellowship for his contributions to social development through his personal initiatives and engagement in national development.
You may recall recently that, King Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere relocated South Africa Returnees with their families to one of the OPM free estates in Port and enrolled all their children into one of the OPM free schools. He also took over their feedings.
During his recognition as an award and special guest, the Registrar/CEO of Institute for Humanitarian Studies and Social Development, Prof Amb. Prince Francis Origa, recalled the roles he played during the killing of late Deborah Samuel in sokoto adding that his urgent intervention stopped what would have resulted to a religious crisis in Nigeria. It is on record that Late Deborah's family are landlords in Port Harcourt with the 14 mini estate bought for them by the man of God. As if that was not enough, he Started business of his mother, bought a business car for her father and offered scholarships to all her siblings.
To the Founder of OPM, King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, Humanitarian is his lifestyle. He thinks humanity, dreams humanity, live humanity, Act humanity. Transforming lives is part of his daily activities.
In Nigeria in General, the issue of humanity cannot be mentioned without his name as His 44 free schools in Nigeria speaks volume. His two free specialist hospitals has reduced the rate of maternal death. His Free estates has provided succour to the homeless and less privileged Nigerians. His University scholarship scheme has graduated over 8,000 Nigerians in both local and overseas universities. His skills acquisition center has trained over 40,000 Nigerians in more than 26 vocational skills Free of charge.
Receiving the award on his behalf, his Special Assistant on Special Duties and Media, Mr Kenneth Nwachi thanked the organizers for the Awards and honours adding that his principal is a Man who derives joy in bringing succour to the less privileged.
He said that what his principal King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere needs is funds to build more free schools, more free estates, more free hospitals and more scholarships to poor and less privileged Nigerians.
This is the third award Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere has received in one week which clearly underscores his commitment and service to humanity.
