WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Wednesday October 7th, 2026

THEME: BE INSPIRED BY THE SCRIPTURES

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” - Romans 15:4 (KJV)

Beloved, the Word of God is not a collection of ancient stories, it is a divine record written for our learning. Every verse, every account, every testimony in Scripture carries a lesson, an instruction, and a revelation meant to guide, strengthen, and inspire us.

As the Apostle Paul reminds us, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” - 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (KJV)

When you open your Bible, you’re not just reading history, you are encountering the living Word of God. The stories of kings, prophets, and ordinary men and women who walked with God are written to build your faith and reveal His faithfulness. Reading about how God showed His power in impossible situations reminds us that what He did before, He can still do today.

God has not changed! “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” - (Hebrews 13:8 KJV). The same God who healed, delivered, and provided in times past is still moving on behalf of His people today.

When King Hezekiah faced a death sentence, he turned his face toward the wall and prayed (Isaiah 38:1–5). That act teaches us to seek refuge in the secret place when life’s storms rage.

When you come to the end of yourself, turn to God. In His presence, your face will shine again, and you will not be ashamed.

Beloved, there is no hopeless situation in Christ. There is always an answer, always a solution, always a way out! In Christ, there is no defeat, no disappointment, and no failure.

Yes, life may present questions that weigh heavily on your heart. But rest assured, the God you serve is faithful, dependable, and reliable. His Word will not fail.

Hold on to His promises. Draw strength from His Word. Stay in the secret place. And let hope rise in your heart, because your God can be trusted.
