WISDOM FOR THE DAY

THEME: WE ARE A BLESSED GENERATION
Romans 4:6-8 (KJV)
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
If you say you must do something to become righteous, then it is no more grace, but debt. “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” (Romans 4:5 KJV)
David was an Old Testament saint who enjoyed grace. He prophesied about a species of people that God will not impute sin to. In other words, God didn't say the man did not sin; rather, He doesn't have a record of it. Since I got this revelation, I made up my mind that I won't keep a record of my mistakes.
The Holy Spirit does not convict a believer of sin. The day He convicted you of sin was the day you gave your heart to Christ. After that, He now convicts you of righteousness. He always reminds you of who you are, even when you make a mistake. You are the righteousness of God.
Romans 4:10-11 says: “How was it then reckoned? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:” (KJV).
According to the book of Romans 10:1-3, the Jews “…….have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” (Romans 10:2-3 KJV)
This is like many people today. A lot of church folks have so much zeal but lack knowledge. So if you are going about, condemning yourself, feeling guilty and intimidated, then you lack knowledge, and you have not been established in righteousness.
