OVERCOMING THE SPIRIT OF DEBT

Proverbs 22:7,
Romans 13:8,
- Debt can be seen as the greatest hinderance to financial freedom.
- This is a situation when a person has no financial resources to cancel his debt.
- It is largely a factor that leads to disgrace and shame.
- There is pain in borrow.
2 Kings 6:5 KJV
But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.
There is sorrow in debt.
2 Kings 4:1 KJV
PRAYERS
- INHERITED DEBTS OF MY FATHERS HOUSE CLEAR OFF.
- The children of God are supposed to be in full control of wealth but unfortunately the enemy has reduced them to begging. Financial debt is a big sickness to man. It is true that debt can crumble a person’s destiny and shatter his life to pieces.
Praying against debt is one way to stay off from financial embarrassment. If you want to live a prosperous life then the yoke of debt hanging around you must be broken.
- To incur debt, it makes people to lose respect, integrity and honour over you. The curse of poverty will be broken when one start to commit himself or herself into continuous giving.
- Giving sacrificially can open the floodgate of heaven towards a person. And one of the ways that can also restore you financially is through deliverance from financial debt. The spirit of financial debt is an arrow from the wicked to disgrace a person financially. In addition, it also serve as a signal that you will experience tough difficulties in addressing some matters.
- However, THE PRESENCE OF DEBT IS A LOSS OF HAPPINESS. And once there is no happiness things begin to fall apart. To accept financial debt and lack as a normal thing for a believer then you are under spirit of loss. For example, when you’re plagued in debt, you are robbing yourself and your family of having the best God has to offer. The scripture says, “…who gives us richly all things to enjoy.” (I Timothy 6:17).

FURTHER BENFITS OF SERVING GOD.
Exodus 23:25-28
These verses could not be any more clearer to us that serving God is for our betterment and profit. Here are a few benefits of serving God. When you serve God,

He will bless your bread and water
He will take away sickness from your midst
There will be no miscarriage
There will be no barrenness
There will be no premature death
You will have long life and fulfill destiny
Your enemies will turn away from you
There is no man or woman who serves God that will walk away empty handed. God will never owe you anything

Here is another great undeniable verse that shows the profitability of serving God,

Job 36:11

1. It guarantees your present life (our daily needs). Matt 6:11; Mark 10:28-30; Luke 13:28-30; Job 1:9-10; 1 Tim 4:6-8; Luke 18:30
2. It secures favour with God. 1 Cor 15:10; Psalm 102:13
3. It confers Joy and rejoicing. Luke 10:17, Isaiah 12:3 KJV

4. It engenders supernatural fruitfulness. Exodus 23:26

How Do We Serve God Acceptably?
1. You must serve God righteously. Matt 7:22-23; Heb 12:28; 2 Tim 2:19
2. You must serve Him faithfully. Proverbs 28:20; Ephesians 6:6
3. We must serve Him heartily.

4. Serve God with your life
5. Serve God in your church
6. Serve God with your talents
7. Serve God with your time
8. Serve God with prayers and fastings
9. Serve God with your money - tithes and offerings
10. Serve God by serving others
You will never be at a loss when you serve God. He has done much for us and he will do much more for you. I want to challenge you with the words of President John Kennedy. In 1961 during his Inaugural Address, President Kennedy uttered these powerful words, 'My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.'

Today, I am asking you, 'My fellow believers, ask not what your God can do for you, ask what can you do for your God.'

Serving God will heal you and grant you long life.

The benefits of serving God

The apostle Paul made an intriguing statement in his letter to Timothy, 'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves...' (2 Timothy 3:1, 2) Pay attention to these words, 'Perilous time shall come because men shall be lovers of their own selves.'
- Today a lot of believers in the church are happy to only show up for Sunday services and most are SELF SERVING and wallowing in self indulgence without ever giving a thought to serving the Lord who REDEEMED THEM FROM SIN and ETERNAL DAMNATION.
The Christians of yesteryear had a different concept of serving God. They would lay their lives down for the Gospel. It would not be unusual for a young soul to be converted years ago and be aflame to reach the world for Jesus. This was in spite of a lack of technological and communication advancement as well as the travel facilities that we enjoy today. Yet the Gospel reverberated around the world as wild fire. Millions upon millions of souls were added to the kingdom of God. Today we have everything at our disposal and we are not taking advantage of it because many in the church are simply not passionate about serving the Lord.

God has done much for us in the saving of our lives by sending his own Son as our redeemer and sin-bearer. To serve God is not a grievous or hard task because God is a great boss and a great rewarder. In fact the Bible reveals to us that there are great benefits in serving God.

THE HEAVEN OF REMEMBRANCE
- The heaven of remembrance" refers to the concept of divine remembrance
or a spiritual "Book of Remembrance" (Malachi 3:16).
- It is often described as a heavenly, supernatural record where God acknowledges and honors the faith, prayers, tears, and good deeds of individuals, rewarding them and correcting injustice.
THE HEAVEN OF REMEMBRANCE.
To provoke the heaven of remembrance, you must be a man of good works.

Facts of Divine Remembrance:
- Divine Record: Heaven keeps a record of prayers, tears, and faithfulness, particularly during times of hardship.

- A "Book of Remembrance": Mentioned in Malachi, it represents God acknowledging the righteous, promising that they will not be forgotten.

- Divine Visitation: It signifies a season of divine favor, where delayed destinies are restored and prayers are answered.

WHAT DIVINE REMEMBRANCE BRINGS:
Supernatural Intervention: It often marks a shift from a "wilderness" experience to a season of abundance.
- Restoration: It is believed to bring back forgotten opportunities, restore wasted years, and bring about promotion.
- Transformation: It is seen as a way of transforming lives from a place of struggle to a place of joy.

- The concept is frequently used in spiritual teaching to encourage faith that one's struggles are not unnoticed, and that God will eventually act on their behalf.

Debt (borrowing) is a spirit.
Come and let us destroy these yokes.
The spirit of debt is a terrible one. The moment you start taking steps that are larger than your own strides, you are cutting down your life without knowing.
