Immortality Readiness Conference - IRC IRC is an arm of Voice of Truth Global Ministry, an inter-denominational ministry set to prepare the church for Christ's coming. ii. iii.

Voice of Truth Global Ministry is a non-church based ministry with the mandate to declare the gospel of God’s kingdom to the nations of the world with the view to teaching them God’s ways and to prepare the Church for the coming of Christ. Like a seed in 2003, an β€œOnline epistle” was pioneered by Femi Bakare, the Immortality Readiness Conference Convener. In March 2008, Voice of Truth online website was launched and in August of that same year, Voice of truth offline (a free monthly publication) commenced. As the mandate became clearer, there was a strong conviction to write the book, β€œImmortality Readiness” dedicated February 27th, 2011 which came with series of testimonies. Femi Bakare had a vision in October of 2009 revealing the state of the Church. The Church seen in the vision was nothing close to the one described in Ephesians 5:27: "That He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish." This vision led to a question in the Convener's heart that if Jesus is coming back tomorrow, who will prepare His people for His coming? He understood that this vision is not just a message to be preached but a crusade that the Lord wanted him to champion. The conviction to increase believers’ awareness about His coming and what the Church needs to do in preparation for His coming grew immensely and as a result the IMMORTALITY READINESS CONFERENCE (IRC) was birthed. Immortality readiness means to prepare ourselves for eternity. The Church is expected to be in a prepared state when Jesus comes for her. The Church cannot make herself immortal; but she can be made ready for immortal life. The coming of Christ for His own is not God's sole responsibility; we must partner with God to bring His purposes to pass. God has expectations of His Church, which if pursued, can actually 'hasten' the coming of Christ like Peter the apostle said in 2 Peter 3:12. The Purpose of the conference:

i. To create awareness of Christ’s coming for the church. To bring a reawakening to the lethargic and complacent church. To equip the church for His work here on earth and for His coming.

The identity of the church is the wife of the Lamb. Christ is the bride groom and the church is the bride of Christ (Revelation 19:7). That you are the bride of Christ does not mean that you are ready for the marriage. Once you realise who you are, your entire life purpose is to prepare to meet him.

Jesus told the story of 10 virgins, their identity was not in question. The grounds by which some were turned away was not their identity but for their state of preparedness. (Matthew 25:1-13).

In today's church we bask around the glory of our identity in Christ, we are quick to say about our identity in Christ and what God has made us to be, but then there is a preparation that follows that identity and if you are not preparing you are walking contrary to the goals that God has established for those who belong to Him.

You cant flirt with Christ and flirt with the world.There is no in betweeness in your relationship with God, you are either for him or against him. There is an expulsion from the body. The one who takes away is the one who grafted in (John 15: 1-2)

The condition to been grafted in is faith, the condition to been taken out is the lack of faith (John 15:2). Lack of faith because where there is faith there is obedience. Faith without works is dead.

The proof of your preparedness is enduring faith.
What brought you in is the word of God, what keeps you in is the word of God.(John 8:30 -31)

When faith saved you, grace appointed good works to you. You are saved by grace and careful to maintain good works.(Titus 3:7-8)

You can walk away from your salvation. By patient continuance in doing good things, you are seeking that which you have been promised. (Romans 2:7)

A back slider is one who love the world.

False doctrine can remove you from Christ (Gal 1:6)

You are qualified by grace to be presented at the wedding of the lamb. Between the time you get qualified and the time you get your inheritance, there is one assignment giving to all believers; walk in the Spirit. (I Peter 1: 3-5,Colossians 1:21-23).

The measure of maturity is love. The process of purification is the process of preparation. Works of faith is what grounds you. The more you hear and do, the more you grow.

Spiritual growth makes you insulated from deception (Ephesians 4:13-14).

The moment you begin to believe false doctrine you are being rooted out. (1 Cor 15:58)

 Faith is the root of salvation and justification. It is not mere positive confessions.

 One of the things the church must not do in these times is to act based on fear and anxiety, but by the counsel of God.

 The church that is getting ready will get terrifyingly holy, dinstinct from the world. The more they get holy, the more they will be persecuted (1 John 3:11)

 Enduring faith produces strength to stay saved.

Enduring faith means the following;
1. Continuing to pray when nothing seems to change.
2. Trusting God justice when injustices seems to win.
3. Refusing to lose heart when the answer is delayed.
4. Staying watchful and faithful until Christ returns. (Matthew 24:6-10, Luke 18:1-8)

What gives us the confidence to endure is found in Romans 8:32, 1 Peter 3:12.

 God’s wisdom is always supplied in the midst of adversity.

 The vision of the outcome is clear before our eyes; the church wins.

 Faith that endures has pillars that it stands on, it is not wishful thinking. Staying power cannot be gotten by snacking on the word. The secret is, paying attention to God’s word. The more you seek the stronger your faith, the stronger your faith, the stronger your strength becomes. (Mark 4:24)

 The provision of God, does not always come by ways foreseen by men all the time, it comes through obedience
