Thanksgiving is the dialect of believers. It is more than saying, “Thank You, Jesus.” It is a lifestyle and an expression of our relationship with God. A believer should develop the habit of giving thanks continually.
The throne of God is surrounded by living creatures, elders, and angels who continually worship and give thanks.
To give God thanks accurately, we need three kinds of sight:
Insight: seeing what God is doing within us.
Foresight: seeing what God is about to do.
Hindsight: looking back and recognizing what God has already done.
The Seven Things We Give God in Thanksgiving (Rev 5:12)

The 6 Faces of Thanksgiving
1. The Face of a Lion: Thanksgiving requires boldness to approach God with confidence. It is the habit of Royalty to show appreciation. Praise is an expression of our identity and authority as God’s image.
2. The Face of an Ox: The symbol of the ox is strength. Thanksgiving requires strength and endurance. We must give God the best of our energy and not just what is convenient.
3. The Face of a Man: We are created in God’s image and likeness so we give God thanks at His level. The worship of God by men is extremely pleasing to God.
4. The Face of an Eagle: This is the face of the Supernatural. It represents seeing from God’s perspective. We must worship God in spirit and in truth (reality). John 4:24 AMPC.
5. The Face of an Elder: Wisdom helps us recognize God’s hand in every situation. A wise heart finds reasons to give thanks, even in disheartening situations.
6. The Face of an Angel: This is the face of commitment and dedication. Angels ceaselessly worship and honour God.Thanksgiving should become a lifestyle of consistent praise and dedication.
The Effects of Thanksgiving
1. Seals are broken (Rev. 5:14, 6:1)
2. Victory is secured.
3. Tangible glory descends.
Thanksgiving is not merely a response to what God has done. It is a lifestyle of honouring God for who He is
