''I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron" (Isaiah 45:2).

This scripture is often confessed by believers in Christ especially when desiring God's intervention in their affairs. Its context reveals God's plan and working in and for one pursuing His purpose to fulfill it. King Cyrus, a Gentile monarch, yields to God's plan to free Judah and Benjamin from their Babylonian captivity, restore them to their own land, rebuild Jerusalem and the temple. This is at the peak of the powers of the Babylonian civilization.

A cursory look at the city reveals that the length of its wall is 56 miles, the height about 320 feet with a thickness of 80 feet surrounded by a ditch full of water. It has 100 gates of brass and massively fortified with bars of iron. This well manned and provisioned city is so strong, fortified and powerful to resist any form of attack occasioned against it.

The idea of breaching the security of Babylon and overthrowing it was a joke. It was humanly impossible at the time. Cyrus needed supernatural backing to succeed. This supernatural provision is available to you today as it were for Cyrus and Israel in the wilderness on their way to possess the seven nations of Canaan.

"For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory "(Deuteronomy 20:4 NIV).

The Lord said to His servant Cyrus, "l will go ahead of you to straighten the crooked paths". He is the same till eternity. He never violates His immutable nature. His supernatural presence will accomplish His plan and purpose through you.

The Lord advances, leads and prepares the way for your success irrespective of the formidability of the opposition of Satan and his seed. The Lord, He alone will handle the difficulties, bottleneck and traps on your way to success. He will sort out all the impediments holding back the deal and grant you success graciously in order to fulfill his great plans and purpose to spread the goodness of the Cross of Jesus Christ. We agree and declare this in Jesus' name, Amen!


Thank you my lovely Father, Lord and Saviour. I appreciate and acknowledge your presence in my life today and always. Thank you for the privilege of being part of your plan and purpose of the end time harvest of souls in Jesus' name. Amen.

"This is what the LORD says to Cyrus His anointed, whose right hand I have grasped to subdue nations before him, to disarm kings, to open the doors before him, so that the gates will not be shut.I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron" (Isaiah 45:1-2).

God's plans and purpose on the earth would always be accomplished in partnership with willing men. Before Cyrus, the Jews had wanted to rebuild Jerusalem and their temple under the reign of kings who cared little or did not care at all. Cyrus would be different. Though a hidden monarch, he sensed and yielded to the plan of God to bring back the captives of Judah and Benjamin from their Babylonian captivity and help them rebuild the temple in Jerusalem, which had been in construction for several years, yet without meaningful progress.

The Lord called him,' my servant'. The Lord could use any one, even stones, to accomplish His plans if they SENSE PURPOSE AND ARE WILLING AND YIELDED. The question is why would God empower you? God does everything according to the purpose of His will and not just according to the desire of a believer. What and whose will and plan do you want to accomplish? There were no 'rigorous special mountain experiences' here. No religious Rigmaroles here just to pick up crumbs.

The harvest of the last days would be accomplished through men. It certainly would require massive financial investment. God looks out for men and women who want to spend and be spent for His plans and purposes not those seeking to be listed in FORBES.

"The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him" (2 Chronicles 16:9).

It is evident that God would not use everybody for his plan irrespective of their status and possession, yet God would raise Cyrus'; and believers all over the world whose hearts are sold out to God's great plan no matter how unbelievable their natural estate and background.

The Lord will use these 'modern day Cyruses' to subdue and overtake the economies of cities and nations, make them prominent voices and open great doors of favour to them. These men would be anointed by God Himself and not queue on the line eagerly waiting for the usual oil pouring ceremonies. They are set apart in their hearts; no gates can resist these men on a mission for God. Is your heart burning as you read this? Then, it is time to sort things out in prayer as you seek the Lord for directions.

Father, I am forever grateful for your matchless love for me. Thank you for the mighty cross of Jesus that brought me into your plans and purpose. More than anything, I desire that you open my heart and mind to the truth of your word, purpose and plan. Amen.

"Beware lest you forget the LORD your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you this day" (Deuteronomy 8:11).

Forgetting and abandoning relationships (disloyalty) even for the flimsiest reasons is a tendency of the human heart. God is not unaware of the constitution of man. Therefore, He warns about forgetting the Lord God about four times in chapter 8 in various ways.

In verse 14, He tells why His children become disloyal to Him. Then in verse 18, He tells why His children should remember the Lord,their God. In verse 19, the Lord warns about the danger of abandoning Him and it does not look good at all.

The question is, "how does a believer not remember or forget the Lord his God"? The Holy Spirit sheds light on verse 11 to grant us insight. It is by not heeding to God's instructions and prescriptions. In every conceivable way, the Lord shows that the reason He gives His children power to succeed and accumulate wealth is so they can DISTRIBUTE it according to HIS PLAN AND PURPOSE.

If wealth distribution is not according to God's plan and purpose, it is simply HUMANISM no matter how good it appears. Elaborating His instructions in Deuteronomy regarding wealth, He specifically tells how to distribute the resources - He gives you power to accumulate; to take care of yourself and family, to help the poor and destitute that will never cease to be in the land, to support the ministers of the vineyard in publishing the gospel. (Please study: Deuteronomy 14:22-26, 28-29; Numbers 18:21).

Heeding these instructions and prescriptions is remembering the Lord your God and not forgetting Him by failing to follow his commandments, ordinances and statutes.

Human wisdom and philosophy will give a thousand and one reasons why God's prescriptions are not tenable. We are not ignorant of the sponsor of these arguments. After all, in warfare, every smart general would attack his enemies' comparative advantage. Some will claim they are under grace. Yes, the believer in Christ is under grace but he is not under GREED. Greed is the primer of the Satan inspired financial system of this world.

Hear Paul the Apostle of Grace:
"Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God who gives us all things richly to enjoy. That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;" (1 Timothy 6:17-18).

Change your thinking!!! You are called to accumulate and distribute God's resources. What a privilege! Let none of God's children be deceived, for whoever has your money has your heart no matter how many tongues you speak per second.

"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (Matthew 6:21).

It is time to soberly meditate on the truth of God's word, His plans and purpose for life and connect with His wisdom. Grace to you brothers and sisters. Do not give up and quit. God is on your side. You shall win the war!


My Father and my Lord, I am thankful for your love and grace for me in Christ Jesus. I submit to the truth of your word and claim the victories of the cross of Jesus. Thank you Father. Amen

"It shall come about if you ever forget the LORD your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them,--Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God"(Deuteronomy 8:19-20).

It is amazing how much God loves His children. Chapter 8 of Deuteronomy and chapter 3 of Genesis have the same context, purpose and focus. In both narratives, God warns against the dangers of not heeding His instructions and the consequent idolatry because He knows how impressionable man could be. The modern day believer in Christ Jesus is not more sophisticated than Adam and even certainly not more than Israel in the desert. The danger of deception by Satan using success, money, and material possessions of value is REAL.

"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Mammon" (Matthew 6:24).

Here, the Lord unequivocally presents two masters, exclusive to each other: God and Mammon. Mammon is an Aramaic word which means money, wealth, material possessions, gain. As a matter of fact, it is a demon spirit of material possession seeking worship from man. It is the same manifestation of Satan demanding worship from the Lord in exchange for the wealth of the world. It may seem outrageous to some believers to deny the Lord and outrightly plunge themselves into occultism but an equally dangerous but veiled worship of Satan in the form of HUMANISM lurks around.

"For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" (Genesis 3:5).

Humanism is the deification and worship of man, which is the result of man's arrogance in choosing what he believes is "right" for him, that gives him a sense of freedom and control over a life whose origin he's ignorant of. Man in his wisdom to seek freedom from "parochial" influence and determine the outcomes of his life, unsuspectingly becomes hoodwinked in well orchestrated and destructive entrapments of darkness.

Satan's ageless strategy has always been the seduction of God's children away from the voice of God, offering "better" options. The idea of an "independent" man is not only ignorant, ridiculous and stupid, it is a smokescreen from the worship seeking ruler and principality of hell. Man was created to worship. If you choose not to worship God in retaining His knowledge and wisdom, then you have chosen to worship the devil in whatever guise.

Brothers and sisters, choose God's financial wisdom today for the fulfilled life in Christ Jesus.


Father, thank you for your great love for me in Christ Jesus. Help me to choose your wisdom and the freedom it brings to me. I choose to yield and follow your lead in my finances in Jesus name. Amen.

"Behold, to the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, and the earth and everything in it" (Deuteronomy 10:14).

God is never one that prevaricates. He speaks with absolute clarity and authority without any fear of contradictions. There are evident contrasts between God's economy and financial system to that of the world. Let's see a few of them:
In God's economy, God owns wealth while in the world's, man owns it; in God's, God gives the power to create wealth while in man's, the power to create wealth is alluded to man; in God's, man is a distributor of wealth while in the world's, man is a reservoir of wealth; in God's, man is a steward of God's resources while in the world's, man is the master and controller of his own resources.

"Then your heart will become proud, and you will forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. Otherwise, you may say in your heart, 'My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth"' (Deuteronomy 8:14,17).

The reality is that the problem of the world's socioeconomics is deeper than pride. At its base is covetousness (greed), which in a bid for preservation, engages the services of pride as an attorney to argue its case and advance its cause. These two are the biggest threats to God's socioeconomics. While greed holds on to God's resources and refuses to distribute, pride rises up in defense, seeking to justify it with all manner of arguments bordering on human wisdom.

Pride says, 'I worked for it, it is my sweat', in response God says, 'I gave you the strength to create it'.

Pride says, 'it's my intelligence and creativity', in response God says, 'I gave you the brain to create wealth'.

Pride says, 'I worked on those connections for several years', in response, God says, 'I ordered your steps to meet the right people and influenced their hearts to help you'.

Pride says, 'these lazy pastors are not accountable and I will not give my money to them', in response God says, 'it is not your money but mine and who are you to judge another man's servant?'

Pride says, 'I have several needs myself after all', in response God says, 'I supply all you need according to my riches'.

Pride says, 'I am bothered so much, why only me?', God's wisdom says 'what do you have that you did not receive from above, why the boast and vain glorying?'

"Scoffer is the name of the arrogant haughty man who acts with arrogant pride" (Proverbs 21:24).

Dear child of God, you are in the plan and purpose of God. Do not be simple hearted and let the sworn enemy of your soul and the kingdom of God derail you and scupper God's plan and purpose for your life.


Father, thank you for your ever abiding love and grace for me. I am in your plan. I refuse the wisdom of the devil as I embrace your wisdom today for a fulfilled life in Jesus name. Amen.

"Behold, to the LORD your God belong heaven and the highest heavens, the earth and all that is in it" (Deuteronomy 10:14).

The claim above is a followup to the counsels, instructions and prescriptions God had given His people Israel for their own good (Deuteronomy 10:13). Some of the prescriptions and instructions of chapter 8 were counter thoughts to "Egypt's" Economic and financial model. Of course, God expected a cultural conflict. Four hundred year-generational walk in "Egypt" (the world) is no joke and cannot just be wished away by some instructions .

Knowing the working of the mind of His creation, He engages more directly and powerfully to break down strongholds of thoughts, reasonings and imaginations enthroned on their minds contrary to His own financial system. Therefore, He claims ownership to the heavens, the earth and all its wealth.

In the world economic system, wealth is man's while in God's economic system, wealth is God's. If wealth is His, it is imperative that He instructs and prescribes its best use for their own good.

"And you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth. Remember the LORD your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with your ancestors". (Deuteronomy 8:17-18).

God knew that "Egypt" and its financial philosophy may rear up its head again. He knew that some of His children might only be mentally assenting to His instructions and not having their minds renewed by them. He is particularly concerned because of the potentials of deception and destruction wealth possesses.

"For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them." (Proverbs 1:32).

It is disappointing and disheartening for God to watch His children get swayed by worldly wisdom, become proud, self conceited, not heeding to God's financial principles and deceived by riches after He has caused them to become prosperous. This is not because He loses their patronage; the wealth of the Earth is His of course, but because He knows they foolishly head towards ruin and destruction.

While many are unnecessarily praying and fasting for riches and wealth, God's desire is for His children to renew their minds to accommodate His financial system - He has given you the land.

Father, I know and believe you love me so dearly. I am grateful to know that you have a plan to prosper me. Teach me and cause me to lay down my worldly financial wisdom to embrace yours. Thank you for giving me the land in Jesus name. Amen.

"For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills. A land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; A land where you will eat food without scarcity, in which you will not lack anything; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig brass.
When you have eaten and are satisfied, you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you" (Deuteronomy 8:7-10).

It is unacceptable to build doctrines around life's circumstances and experiences and not on the truth of God's word. God's word must not be made to conform to man's realities rather man's realities must be subject to God's unchanging word. From slavery and lack to freedom and abundance; the sharp contrast of experiences appears too good to be true. For this to become a reality, God exploits the timeless principle of VISION CASTING to create hope and enthusiasm in the hearts and minds of His people.

The feelings and the pictures of Egypt stored in their subconsciousness must be thoroughly eroded for God's plan for Israel to be accomplished. One of the greatest wonders on Earth is the ability of man to change his life's circumstances by changing his thought process. Experiences are first virtual realities before being transformed into matter. Today, many of God's children are being held back by the lies their past and present experiences, including authority figures had told and are still telling them.

They search for answers where there is none, having their situations worsened by the "prophesying" lies to them. The hard truth is no one of God's children has a reasonable chance to fulfill purpose until they break free mentally. The believer in Christ Jesus has FOREVER been made COMPLETELY FREE from the authority of Satan and the lies of generational curses. His bo***ge, if there is any, is mental and not spiritual.

"Deuteronomy" means the giving of the law a second time. Why should the instructions and statutes (prescriptions) from God be given a second time? It is because repetition is the principle of lasting impression. Therefore, He began to tell them, "it is a good land with brooks of waters, fountains and springs; land of figs, barley, pomegranates, wheat, olive and honey. No scarcity and lack exist there. You shall eat and be full". This is YOUR reality in Christ Jesus.

Like a master artist, God was painting His vision for Israel on the canvass of their hearts and minds with clarity, releasing their power of IMAGINATION. God knows that those words will create images of hope, hope would translate into convictions, convictions would become actions and actions would metamorphose into victories. Irrespective of your past and present circumstances, catch the VISION of the God who does not lie, practice cronyism or nepotism and does not take bribes for your life. Internalise these truths.

Let their IMAGES be established in your heart and mind. Change the course of your life by consistently thinking and saying them to yourself. As you do, you will see God pull human and material resources that will help you get to the top.


Father, thank you for your love and the unrelenting efforts of your grace to transform my life. I declare that your word is my reality. I break free from every limiting thought and thought process. I work in freedom. I shall fulfill my purpose in life in Jesus name. Amen.

"Remember how the LORD your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character-Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone, rather we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. He fed you with manna in the wilderness, a food unknown to your ancestors. He did this to humble you and test you for your own good. Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the LORD your God disciplines you for your own good" (Deuteronomy 8:2-3,5 NLT).

On the account of the promise God made to Abraham and his seed, God chose the most unqualified and unlikely candidates to fulfill His plan. These folks, though very vast in the wisdom and perspectives of Egypt, were certainly no fits for God's social and financial systems. Like a very wise Father, He seized the initiatives to change their mental outlook to life.

The Hebrew word rendered humble is "ansar" which means 'to bow'. Nothing brings a man crashing from his "unassailable king kong's throne", unravels, unveils a man to himself, transforms his perspectives and deepens their convictions of God's love more than ever.

Crises tear down a man's brazen walls, corrugated iron gates, security locks and cause him to acknowledge available resources outside him. God exploited this principle to change their outlook.

In Egypt, every one relied on his personal strength, worked for bread and depended on it for survival. In the desert, God took the advantage of lack of bread, their inability to operate bakeries to provide manna (which means "what is this") unknown to them and their ancestors for forty years. God showing His reliability, love and grace, deepened their convictions and faith in Him, changed their "Egypt" perspective of life; a bid to prepare them ahead of time to function in His socioeconomics.

The true picture of prosperity is not God being at our Beck and Call, ensuring nothing touches His "untouchables" but that God could permit things we can bear and give us victory over them as part of His plan for the abundant and prosperous life in Christ.
According to Apostle Paul, ALL THINGS work together for our good to bring His purpose to pass in our lives (Romans 8:28). (Please do realise that God does not use His enemies' signature tools to train his children).

Moses testified in Deut 8:16 that it is for their good. God of a necessity would teach, correct, remove and replace the acquired worldly mindset in the believer in Christ with His wisdom, to enable him fulfill His plan and purpose on the earth. If it is not God's way, there is no way (Deuteronomy 8:5).

In Hebrews 12:5-11, Apostle Paul says God's teachings and trainings confirm you as a legitimate child. It is for one's own good; separates the believer for God's purpose and delivers desirable outcomes for any one that follows through . The more we embrace God's mindsets and demonstrate them, the more territories He gives us access to and the more progress we make in his purpose. This is the wisdom behind the "little by little principle". To function in "Canaan", God pulls "Egypt" out of His children.

Father, I thank you for your great love for me in Christ Jesus. You have chosen me even though I'm the most unqualified and unlikely to fulfill your plan. I follow your wisdom despite the voices around me in Jesus name. Amen.
