Day 34 Devotional message – 71 Days of Fasting & Prayer
Theme: Why Great Men Fail.
Greatness does not exempt a man from falling. In fact, the higher the calling, the greater the scrutiny and the subtler the temptations. Scripture shows us that gifting is not the same as character. Samson had strength but lacked discipline. King Saul had a throne but lost obedience. King David was anointed yet stumbled through unchecked desire. Solomon possessed wisdom but tolerated compromise.
Great men fail for five primary reasons:
Pride – Success convinces them they are indispensable.
Isolation – They stop being accountable.
Compromise – Small sins become tolerated habits.
Fatigue – They fight battles outwardly but neglect inner renewal.
Disobedience – They replace God’s instruction with personal logic.
Fasting exposes these weaknesses. Prayer confronts hidden motives. Consecration rebuilds foundations.
As we fast on Day 34, examine your inner life. Are you building platforms or character? Are you seeking applause or obedience? Greatness without submission leads to collapse. But brokenness before God leads to preservation.
Prayer Focus:
“Lord, preserve me from the failure that comes from pride, secrecy, and compromise. Build in me character that can sustain the calling You have placed upon my life. Amen.”

Theme: Breaking Hidden Yokes & Restoring Spiritual Sensitivity
Scripture Reading:
“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?”
— Isaiah 58:6 (KJV)
Devotional Exhortation
Day 13 marks a critical turning point in this fast. At this stage, God begins to deal with hidden yokes—spiritual weights that are not always obvious but quietly drain spiritual power. These yokes may be patterns, attitudes, inherited struggles, delayed obedience, or spiritual dullness that crept in unnoticed.
Many believers pray loudly but hear faintly. Not because God is silent, but because spiritual sensitivity has been reduced. Fasting is God’s divine tool to restore sharpness, re-align discernment, and remove burdens the soul has learned to tolerate.
Today, the Lord is not focusing on outward sacrifice but inward freedom. Anything that limits your responsiveness to God must bow. Every yoke that survived prayers but cannot survive fasting is being exposed now.
This is a day to ask God hard questions about yourself—and wait honestly for His answers.
Prayer Focus
Breaking Hidden Yokes
Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, expose and destroy every hidden yoke operating in my life in the name of Jesus.
Restoration of Spiritual Sensitivity
Lord, restore my spiritual alertness. Remove every veil, dullness, and distraction that weakens my hearing in the Spirit.
Freedom from Invisible Burdens
By the authority of Christ, I release myself from every unseen burden affecting my prayer life, destiny, and obedience.
Fresh Alignment with God’s Will
Father, realign my heart, thoughts, and desires with Your perfect will.
Prophetic Declaration
I decree and declare:
Every yoke resisting my progress is broken today.
My spiritual senses are sharpened.
I hear God clearly.

Opening Exhortation
His Lordship Dr. Elera Wilson,
Day 12 calls us into a place many believers avoid but every revival passes through: brokenness. Not weakness. Not shame. But the deliberate laying down of self so God’s power can rest fully upon us.
Fasting without brokenness produces discipline.
Brokenness with fasting produces transformation.
God is not impressed by length of prayers or intensity of fasting alone,
He is moved by a heart that is yielded, teachable, and repentant.
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” — Psalm 51:17
Devotional Insight
Brokenness is the altar where pride dies and grace flows.
Until self is dethroned, Christ is limited in expression through us.
Many want God’s anointing but resist God’s dealings.
Yet Scripture is consistent: humility always precedes elevation.
“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.” James 4:10
Today is not about asking God for more things.
It is about asking God to remove anything that competes with Him in your heart.
Heart Examination
Take a moment of honest reflection before the Lord:
Where has pride hardened my obedience?
What attitudes, habits, or offenses have I justified?
Have I resisted correction because it challenged my ego?
Brokenness begins when excuses end.

Prayer of Surrender
Father, I lay down my will, my pride, and my defenses. Break me where I need breaking, that You may build me as You desire.
Prayer for Inner Cleansing
Search me, O God, and remove every hidden sin, stubborn mindset, and secret resistance to Your Spirit.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

God Intercession Ministries.
Theme: Breaking Invisible Barriers

Scripture Focus:
"He frustrateth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise." – Job 5:12 (KJV)

🔍 Devotional Thought:

Many believers are held back by forces they cannot see—barriers that are not physical, but spiritual and psychological. These are invisible walls that limit progress, delay breakthroughs, or keep one in cycles of failure and near-success syndromes. These barriers can be ancestral covenants, satanic embargoes, curses, or evil pronouncements that work behind the scenes to resist divine progress.

Invisible barriers frustrate effort, waste time, and bring confusion. But the power of God is available to break these strongholds. As we fast and pray today, we are invoking the name of Jesus to break every unseen limitation and scatter the networks of darkness working against our destinies.

The Bible assures us in Job 5:12 that God can frustrate the agenda of the wicked. Let this promise become your confession today—every hidden resistance is broken in Jesus' name!

🙏 Prayer Points:

1. Father, I thank You because You are the God who reveals and destroys the works of darkness.

2. Every invisible barrier limiting my progress, be destroyed by fire, in the name of Jesus!

3. O Lord, frustrate every hidden plan of the enemy concerning my destiny.

4. I break free from every spiritual chain that is holding me down unknowingly.

5. Blood of Jesus, cleanse every legal ground the enemy is using against me.

6. Holy Spirit, expose and uproot every hidden operation of darkness in my life.

7. By the power of God, I step into a new season of victory, speed, and open doors.

Theme: When the Law Fails, Grace Speaks
Scripture: “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” – John 1:17 (NIV)

🔥 Meditation:

The law is holy, righteous, and just—but it was never meant to save us. It was meant to show us our need for a Savior. The law sets the standard but provides no strength to meet it. It defines sin, but it does not redeem the sinner. When the law fails to justify, grace steps in to qualify.

Grace is God’s response to our helplessness.

The woman caught in adultery in John 8 was guilty under the law. She stood condemned, surrounded by accusers ready to stone her. But then grace spoke—in the person of Jesus. He said, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” One by one, her accusers dropped their stones and walked away.

Where the law demanded death, grace offered forgiveness.

🙏 Prayer Points:

1. Thank God for the gift of grace through Jesus Christ that covers our weaknesses and failures.
2. Pray for a deeper revelation of God's grace that enables you to walk in freedom and righteousness.

3. Ask God to silence every voice of condemnation—internal or external—through the power of grace.

4. Intercede for those trapped in legalism or guilt, that they may encounter the saving grace of Christ.
5. Declare that grace will speak for you in places where you’ve been disqualified or discredited.

📖 Reflection:

Are there areas of your life where the law has exposed failure, sin, or brokenness? Invite grace to speak over them. Grace does not deny truth—it completes it. It empowers transformation where the law only points out the need.

Let grace speak louder than guilt. Let Jesus have the final word.

🔥 Prophetic Declarations:

I, Apostle Dr. Wilson Elera, servant of the Most High God and watchman over the gates of destiny, hereby declare over the month of June:

1. This June, I walk in divine alignment — every aspect of my life and ministry aligns perfectly with the divine calendar of heaven. Missteps are corrected, and divine order is established.

2. I declare supernatural acceleration — delays are broken! Prophecies shall manifest swiftly, and what seemed impossible shall be made possible by divine intervention.

3. I call forth the favor of the Lord — in this sixth month, I shall be highly favored. Men and women, known and unknown, will rise to support the vision of God Intercession Ministries.

4. June is my month of open heavens — fresh oil is poured out upon me. Revelations flow, utterance is given, and power is made manifest through every word I speak.

5. I decree overflow — abundance in resources, strength, and influence. I step into a new dimension of financial grace and apostolic provision.

6. The covering of God rests upon me — I and all connected to me are shielded. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. The blood of Jesus is our defense.

7. Uncommon testimonies shall emerge from this month — in my life, in the ministry, and among all intercessors and sons under this mantle.

8. I speak peace, power, and progress — the shalom of God floods every storm. We move forward in authority, conquering territories and possessing gates.
