On the road to Emmaus, the Living Word expounded the Written Word to two discouraged disciples. As Christ unfolded the Scriptures concerning Himself, their hearts could not remain cold; they burned within them. (Luke 24:27, 32)

Such is the ministry of the Engrafted Word. As it takes root within the believer, it rekindles holy affection for God, renews spiritual fervency, and sets the soul ablaze with fresh passion for Christ.
