Major Themes of Acts 19
1. The Holy Spirit produces effective witnesses.
Power is given so believers can represent Christ faithfully.
2. Discipleship multiplies the Kingdom.
Paul invested deeply in people who would carry the gospel further.
3. Spiritual authority flows from relationship with Jesus.
You cannot borrow another person's intimacy with God.
4. Genuine revival changes culture.
It transforms beliefs, habits, economics, and values.
5. Idolatry is challenged by the Kingdom.
Anything that takes God's place—whether money, power, pleasure, or false religion—will eventually be confronted by the gospel.
6. The Kingdom advances through truth, not force.
God's power is displayed through transformed lives, not political domination or mob action.
