*The Power Of Praise And Gratitude*

*“Worship is an act of faith, trusting God even in the hardest moments.”*

*By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.*
-Hebrews 13:15

In life's toughest moments, we often forget the power of praise and gratitude.

Hebrews 13:15 encourages us to *"offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually."* It Must come from your heart.

This means praising God not just in good times, but even when it's hard.
- True praise is a sacrifice that comes from a heart trusting God, even in difficult times.
- Our praise is rooted in God's deep love for us, shown through Jesus' sacrifice.
- This love calls us to respond with our lives, using our gifts to share His love with the world.
- Our gratitude becomes a witness, pointing others to God's goodness.
- Let our lives reflect constant praise, even in challenges.
- Worship is God's residential address.
- If you want to visit God, go with gratitude and praise.
- Worship brings you into His pavilion.
- *How pleasant, glorious and life giving this could be*- Ps.16:11
*Prayer*
May our gratitude and praise lead others to the hope we have in Christ.

*God is waitng for you*

*The Ultimate Is Love*

*"If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal."*
-1 Corinthians 13:1

In many church assemblies today, there is much emphasis on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and though the gifts of the Spirit are wonderful and exciting, if they are not administered in love, they are of little worth and can even become abused and destructive.

- Spiritual gifts from the Spirit are bestowed on every child of God, but they are a privilege that must be used wisely, for when abused by the carnal believer, that can cause confusion in the Body of Christ and deliver a distorted gospel.

- The gifts of the Spirit are to be managed under God's authority.
- Gifts must flow from the fruit of the Spirit, which is rooted in LOVE and which overspills into joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control.

- Like all Scripture, 1Cor.13 must be read in its correct context, which stems from Paul's deep concern and lengthy instructions to the carnal Christians in Corinth, for unless all the gifts of the Spirit are administered in love, they degenerate into a noisy gong or a clanging symbol.
- *And this is what we see in Church today*

- Let us walk in the spirit, live in the spirit, pray in the spirit, and let us administer the gifts we have been given in spirit, in truth and in love.
- Let us seek to honour God in the way that we practise whatever gift or gifts the Spirit has graciously bestowed upon us - and let us do it in LOVE.
- *Then We will experience the power of the Holy Spirit in church*

*My Prayer*
Heavenly Father, thank You that you give each of Your children one or more gifts of the Spirit, to be used in love and to Your glory. Help me to use the gifts that you have bestowed on me, in a way that does not dishonour or displease You. May my spiritual gifts be rooted and grounded in Christ’s love. In His name I pray, AMEN.

*This is a wakeup Call. Allow love come into your heart, into the church, and you will see God manifest His power and glory*

*Your Bartimaeus Moment*

*“Jesus said, ‘No procrastination. No backward looks. You can’t put God's kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize the day.’”*
-Luke 9:62 (MSG)

You will often have Bartimaeus moments in your life and ministry.

What’s a Bartimaeus moment?

- It’s anytime that God gives you an opportunity seemingly out of nowhere.
- In Mark 10, a huge crowd was following Jesus as he left Jericho.
- A man named Bartimaeus was blind and begging by the roadside.
- When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was nearby, he began to shout, *“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”*(Mark 10:47 NIV).
- When Bartimaeus had gotten up that morning, he had no idea that Jesus Christ was going to be passing by him that day.
- He thought it was just another ordinary day—same place, same cry for help, same situation.

*But suddenly !, but suddenly !! - Jesus was there*.

- This same hope and expectation is for you today.

- Bartimaeus had no time to prepare or think through his response.
- It was just an opportunity that dropped in his lap.
- And he chose to seize the moment.
- He decided not to delay or procrastinate. -
- He was going to do it — *now !*

That’s a great reminder for life and ministry too:

- Whatever you’re going to do, do it now.

- Don’t say, “Next year I’m going to start that new ministry” or “Next month I’m going to reach out to that person” or “Tomorrow I’m going to make that a priority.”

- *It’s now or never.*
- Seize the moment!
- Every day, we have opportunities in life and ministry, but we don’t take advantage of them.

*Why ?*

We procrastinate.

- Procrastination is a strange phenomenon.

- You think it will make your life easier when it actually does just the opposite.

- It’s a stress generator!

- When you know the right thing to do, today is the time to do it. -
- Don’t assume you can wait for tomorrow. You don’t have control over the next moment.

- The Bible warns over and over about presuming upon tomorrow.

- I’m not guaranteed a tomorrow, and neither are you.

- Jesus said, *“No procrastination. No backward looks. You can’t put God’s kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize the day”* (Luke 9:62 MSG).

- You have no guarantee that you will have a better opportunity tomorrow.

- You have no guarantee you’ll even be alive tomorrow.
- Whatever you’re going to do, you better do it now.

- Is Jesus inviting you to try something new in your life and ministry? -
- Don’t delay. *Follow the example of Bartimaeus and seize the moment.*

*Now is your Bartimaeus moment*

*Our Eternal Glory*

*"Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge."*
-2 Corinthians 5:5

So much of Paul's ministry to the Church is reminding us of our eternal inheritance and our heavenly citizenship. -

- Although we have no tangible evidence of our future hope, nevertheless we accept it by faith because God has spoken in His Word, and God is faithful to His Word for God has even set His Word above His holy name.
- We may have no tangible proof of our home in heaven, but faith is the evidence of unseen and invisible things, and we are to govern our lives by truths that have eternal and lasting value and not to set our hearts on the passing things of this temporal world.
- Paul has been contrasting our failing earthly bodies with the glorified bodies which all who trust in Christ as Saviour will receive at His coming.
- Our present bodies are weak and dying.
- They are temporary structures that continue to show signs of weakness and decay.
- But this earthen vessel will one day be glorified, the temporal will be replaced with the eternal, the mortal with the immortal, and our decaying form will be dressed with a glorious body that is equipped to live with Christ in heaven, forever.
- And as a guarantee from God, all who trust in Christ Jesus as Saviour are given the indwelling Holy Spirit as a pledge.
- He is a guarantee from God that we will one day set aside this earthly flesh and be dressed in the heavenly glory that comes from God.
- What a precious promise that our guarantee is the Holy Spirit.
- What a blessed truth that, at this moment, He has His dwelling place in every believer.
- May we live each day in the knowledge that our eternity is secure in the hands of our loving Lord.
- To Him be all the glory, forever.

*My Prayer*
Thank You, Lord, that You are preparing me for my heavenly home. Thank You that You gave me the Holy Spirit as a pledge, guaranteeing my future hope in Christ. All praise to Your holy name, AMEN.

*Prepare for the promised eternal glory*

*Defining Moment*

*Jesus spoke these things, looked up to heaven, and said: Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son so that the Son may glorify You*-John 17:1

The prayer of all prayers was prayed by the Lord Jesus as the pivotal hour in the history of the ages had finally arrived.

The moment, which was planned in eternity past and towards which every step of Christ's earthly pathway had been progressing, had finally arrived.

The Cross, where the blood of the eternal Son of God made Man, had reached its terminus.
- The Lord Jesus lived His life following God's divine timetable. -
- Every day in His life was planned and prepared by the Father. -
- Every meeting and every conversation was guided by the Spirit of God.
- Every act and action, every temptation and trial, every pain, and every prayer, was preparing Him for this ultimate hour, without which the sins of the world could never have been forgiven and salvation could never have been procured.
- The Lord Jesus lived a life that from beginning to end cried: *"Thy will be done."* Can this be your daily prayers?

Christ had glorified God throughout His life, by His miracles, by His ministry, by His grace, by living in humble obedience to the Father, and by submitting to the power of the Spirit, for He had laid aside His pre-incarnate glory.
- And as He faced the Cross, He prayed that His glory that was set aside to do the Father's will, would be restored.
- He prayed that the eternal glory He had with God the Father before the world began, would be returned to Him so that He might glorify His Father in heaven.
- Christ's sacrifice on the Cross had to come before His resurrected glory.
- The Cross had to precede the Crown for you and me to be redeemed.
- Let us seek to follow in the steps of the Master and embrace the Cross for His name's sake so that in the ages to come we may share in His glory.

*No Crown without the Cross !*

*My Prayer*
Thank You, Father, that Your glorious plan and purpose was for Jesus to go to the Cross and suffer humiliation, pain, and bitter agony so that I might be redeemed by His blood and share in the riches of His grace. Praise Your holy name, AMEN.

*Humility comes before honour*- Prov.22:4

The Benefits of Faithfulness

"A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished." Proverbs 28:20
Let us reflect on the profound virtue of faithfulness and the blessings it brings into our lives. In a world often characterized by change and uncertainty, faithfulness stands as a steadfast pillar, guiding us in our relationships with God and one another.
1. ** Strengthened Relationships
Faithfulness cultivates trust. In our relationships with family, friends, and our community, being reliable and consistent builds strong, lasting bonds. When we are faithful, we show others that they can depend on us, mirroring the unwavering faithfulness of God towards us.
2. ** Spiritual Growth and Peace
Faithfulness in our spiritual practices—prayer, worship, and studying the Word—deepens our relationship with God. It opens our hearts to His guidance and wisdom, bringing peace and a sense of purpose. As we commit to walking in His ways, we grow spiritually and experience the joy of His presence.
3. ** Divine Favor and Blessings
The Bible promises that faithfulness brings blessings. Proverbs 28:20 tells us that "A faithful man will be richly blessed." These blessings may come in various forms—spiritual, emotional, or even material. God rewards those who are faithful in their duties and responsibilities, trusting them with greater tasks and opportunities.
4. ** Witness to Others
Our faithfulness serves as a testimony to those around us. In a world that often values convenience over commitment, a faithful life stands out as a witness to God's enduring love and truth. By being faithful, we inspire others to seek and trust in God, drawing them closer to His grace.
As we reflect on these benefits, let us strive to embody faithfulness in all areas of our lives. May we be faithful in our relationships, steadfast in our spiritual journey, and committed to the tasks and roles entrusted to us. In doing so, we not only enrich our lives but also glorify God, who is forever faithful.
Let us pray for the strength and grace to remain faithful, trusting in God's promises and relying on His unwavering love.
Amen.
May this message inspire and encourage you to embrace the blessings that come with a faithful heart.
