Happy Independence Day & Community Service in Action.

This morning, right after our New Month Morning Prayers, Heaven’s Herald Seventh-day Adventist Church joyfully shared packs of rice with our wonderful host community here at Mile 2, Port Harcourt.

This food drive is part of our special Community Service efforts during Eastern Nigeria Union Conference Community Service Week. On this special day — 1st October, Nigeria’s Independence Day — we are reminded that true freedom and nation-building begin with love, care, and practical service to one another.

To everyone who received, may God bless and multiply what you have received. To our members and partners who made this possible, thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria.

Happy Community Service Week.

God bless our church and our community.

Child Dedication Celebration

We give glory to God for the child dedication of Reason Moses Uzeyekachi on Sabbath, 1st August, 2026. We celebrated with parents Mr. & Mrs Felix Reason as Elder Samuel Uduak led this sacred service at Heavens Herald SDA Church, Port Harcourt congregation. As Joshua 1:8 reminds us, may this child meditate on God's word day and night. Praise God for this wonderful blessing.

God Was There with Us

The sanctuary came alive with purpose on Children's Sabbath 2026. As young voices filled the morning with Sabbath School lessons, something profound was unfolding—a reminder that God walks with us always.

During Divine Service, the message shifted the atmosphere. Jessy Frank ignited courage with "Be Strong and Courageous," calling children to stand tall in their faith. Sarah Chigemerem then led them deeper, teaching how to "Build Your Altar"—their own spiritual foundation—through the lens of the 12 Tribes of Israel. Sophia Nweneka echoed the courage theme with "Bricks and Feather," building block by block. And Osinachi Umah challenged us with "Trembling Wall"—a call to stand even when circumstances shake us.

But the highlight? The church transformed into twelve groups, each representing a tribe. As children dispersed across the space, they weren't just learning history—they were discovering their place in God's greater story.

The energy was electric. The impact was real. Every child left knowing one truth: God is with you always.

BLESSED & GRATEFUL

The Half-Week of Spiritual Emphasis has come to a glorious close.
From 15th - 18th July 2026, our beloved Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Mile 2 was immersed in a season of deep spiritual renewal and focus.

Theme: "GUARDING THE MIND IN THE LAST DAYS"
Grounded in the Bible. Focused on Mission.
Under the leadership of our Chaplaincy Department, we gathered in prayer, studied God's Word, and strengthened our commitment to Christ as we prepare for His soon return. The evening sessions (6:30pm - 7:30pm) were powerful reminders that in these final days, our minds must be anchored in Jesus Christ alone.

To all who participated — whether in person or in spirit — thank you for your dedication to spiritual growth. To our speakers, singers, musicians, and volunteers: your service was a blessing!
The experience may have ended, but the impact will continue to shape our walk with God.

"Therefore, gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you." - 1 Peter 1:13
Stay blessed. Stay vigilant. Stay faithful.

APM SABBATH: Blessings in the Trial 🙏
Romans 8:18
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” (NIV)
Life isn’t always smooth, but even in the hard seasons, God is still taking care of you.
If you’ve ever felt forgotten by friends, family, or loved ones — take heart. Because Jesus lives, you can face tomorrow with hope!
In all circumstances, give glory to God. This is His will for you. He knows what’s best for you.
Count it all joy.
God uses trials to refine our character and strengthen our faith. What we’re going through right now cannot be compared to the glory that awaits us.
So today, let’s choose to trust Him. Let’s give thanks even in the storm, knowing He is working everything for our good and His glory.
Prayer:
Lord, in this trial, help me not to grow bitter but to trust Your refining hand. Thank You that my present sufferings are nothing compared to the glory to come. Because Jesus lives, I have hope. Refine my faith and let me bring You glory in every season. Amen.
Who else is trusting God in the middle of a trial right now? Drop a 🙏 or “AMEN” in the comments and encourage someone today.

Global Youth Day 2026 | Communion in Action
As part of the just-concluded Global Youth Day celebration under the powerful theme “Communion in Action,” our young people took the call to serve seriously.

We stepped out into our community for a meaningful clean-up exercise — not just picking up litter, but showing the love of Christ in practical ways. It was more than cleaning our environment; it was about making it healthier, demonstrating responsibility, and reflecting the heart of Jesus through selfless service.

This wasn’t just an event — it was a living testimony that true Communion with Christ must flow into Action! When we come together in prayer and purpose, we become the hands and feet of Jesus, uplifting our communities and making a real difference.

Acts 4:31 reminds us: “And when they had prayed… they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
Today, we’re not just speaking — we’re acting.

Thank you to every young person who showed up and served with joy.
Thank you to our leaders and supporters who made this possible.
This is just the beginning.

What act of service has God been stirring in your heart lately?
Drop a comment below and share one way you plan to live out “Communion in Action” this week.
Tag a friend or young person who needs to be part of this movement.

Let’s keep the fire burning. Let’s continue to serve, love, and shine for Christ in our community and beyond.

The Nigeria Mass Outreach Evangelism 2026, held from March 15 to March 28, 2026 at Rumuche, Emohua, Rivers State, has concluded with great joy and thanksgiving to God.

This impactful evangelistic outreach was sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Churches at Mile 2, Mgbushimini, and Eagle Island in the Port Harcourt West Conference.

Pastor Gospel Agi ministered faithfully throughout the program, proclaiming the Word of God with power. As a result, four precious souls made decisions for Christ and surrendered their lives to the Lord.

In addition, a Branch Sabbath School was successfully inaugurated by Pastor Ernest Nwoko. This new fellowship is to be nurtured and cared for by Evangelist Salient Levi as we disciple these new believers and continue the work of soul-winning.

We give all the glory to God for this harvest of souls! May the seeds sown during this outreach continue to bear much fruit, leading to strong discipleship and future baptisms.

This is a beautiful testimony of our I Will Go mission in action — reaching communities with the everlasting gospel and planting new groups of believers in Rumuche, Emohua.

Let us continue to uphold in prayer:
The four new converts
The newly inaugurated Branch Sabbath School
Pastor Gospel Agi, Pastor Ernest Nwoko, and Evangelist Salient Levi
The sponsoring churches and the entire Port Harcourt West Conference

"The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few." (Matthew 9:37)
May the Lord of the harvest continue to empower us for greater soul-winning exploits in Rivers State and beyond.
