Topic: Heaven a prepared place for prepared people.
Text: John 14: 1- 11
The heaven we are to discuss is not the atmospheric heaven or the steric heaven Deuteronomy 1 v 10 but the heaven of heaven Deuteronomy 4: 39 , 10 v 14 10
Heaven should be the meditation and focus of every individual, considering the timeless nature of eternity.
THE NATURE OF HEAVEN
1. A place of no tears
2. A place of no death
3. A place of no sorrow
4. A place of no pain Revelation 21 v 4
5. A place where reproach and rebuke is taken away Isaiah 25 v 8
6. A place where there is no need of the sun nor moon ; Jesus is the light. Rev 21 v 23
THe PREPAREDNESS OF HEAVEN.
What actually made a heaven a prepared place
1. It is prepared for those who has overcome ( temptation, trials, persecution, lust, pride, love of this world)
2. It is prepared for justice, equity and judgement
3. It is prepared for everlasting destination
4. It is prepared for those who believe in God and also in Jesus. John 14 v 1
5. It is prepared for Jesus to receive his own unto Himself.
It is prepared for eternal reward.
Jesus will be the one to receive us in to glory, He will receive us into heaven, for He is the way and hence knows the way, ( John 14 v 3-6)
There are many conception as regard the coming of Christ .
The Bible teaches that only God knows the exact time of Christ return (Mark 13 v 32) and Jesus himself said that His return will be unexpected like a thief in the night (Mathew 24 v 43-44)
Some signs that are often cited as indicating Christ's return is near include:
1. Increased wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6-7)
2. Increased famines, earthquakes, and natural disasters (Matthew 24:7-8)
3. Persecution of Christians and other believers (Matthew 24:9-10)
4. A great apostasy, or falling away from the faith (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
5. The appearance of false prophets and false messiahs
Matthew 24:11,24)
It's important to note that these signs have been present throughout history, and Christ's return could be sudden and unexpected, like a thief in the night. Ultimately, only God knows the exact timing of Christ's return.
The Return of Jesus is True, the signs are here before us, many have departed this world and there is no repentance in the grave.
