Topic: Jesus Heals
Bible Texts
Isaiah 53:5; Exodus 15:26; Psalm 103:2–3; Matthew 8:16–17; James 5:14–15; 1 Peter 2:24

Healing was an essential part of Jesus Christ’s ministry. Jesus is not only our Savior; He is also our Healer—the Great Physician. God’s power to heal is limitless, and no sickness or disease is beyond His ability.

* Jesus Has the Power to Heal Physical Sickness

Throughout His ministry, Jesus healed the sick, the blind, the lame, the lepers, and many others who came to Him in faith.

Matthew 8:16–17 shows that Jesus healed the sick and fulfilled the prophecy concerning His healing ministry.

Jesus still has the power to heal.

* His Sacrifice Took Care of Our Infirmities

Isaiah 53:5 says:

“With His stripes we are healed.”

Jesus bore our sins and suffered on the cross for our redemption and restoration. His sacrifice is a demonstration of God’s love and provision for us.

1 Peter 2:24 also reminds us that Christ bore our sins in His body on the cross.

* God Is Our Healer

Psalm 103:2–3 says:

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.”

We must never forget that God is our source of healing. When sickness comes, we should pray, trust God, and hold on to His promises.

*Pray for the Sick

James 5:14–15 instructs believers to call the elders of the church to pray and anoint the sick with oil in the name of the Lord.

We are encouraged to pray with faith, trusting God to heal, restore, strengthen, and sustain His people.

Jesus heals. His power is limitless, and His compassion toward those who suffer remains constant.

Let us remember:

Jesus has the power to heal.

His sacrifice brought redemption and healing.

God is our Healer.

We should pray for the sick in faith.

Jesus is our Savior. Jesus is our Healer. Jesus is the Great Physician.

Amen.

TOPIC: The Power of Positive Confession
TEXT: Numbers 13:32–33

God created the world, and He created us in His image to be creators. We create from what God has already created.
Because you are a creator, your words are powerful.

The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Therefore, choose to speak words that bring life.
The declarations of your mouth reveal who you are and the direction you are heading.
You may not be able to stop negative thoughts from coming, but you can stop negative words from coming out of your mouth. Never speak negatively—not even as a joke.

What to Avoid in Your Confession
Scripture: Philippians 4:8
1. Avoid talking too much.
References: Proverbs 10:19, Proverbs 6:2, Ephesians 5:12
Nobody can misquote silence. Learn not to be hasty in speaking.
2. Avoid idle and careless talk.
References: Matthew 12:36–37, Matthew 5:37
Be intentional with your words, for they carry consequences.
3. Avoid gossip.
References: Leviticus 19:16, Proverbs 18:8, Proverbs 26:22
Gossip destroys relationships and dishonors God.
4. Avoid lies.
References: Proverbs 6:16–19, Proverbs 12:22
God delights in truth and hates lying lips.
5. Avoid arrogant speech.
Reference: 1 Samuel 2:3
Pride and arrogance begin with the mouth. A proud person cannot sustain success.

Common Lies the Devil Uses
"It can happen to anybody."
"God gives and takes away."
"What will be, will be."
"If God did not permit it, it would not happen."
If God does not permit something but you permit it through your choices, words, or actions, it can still happen.
Reference: Psalm 82:5–7

Choose to speak God's Word over your life. Your confession shapes your faith, influences your actions, and impacts your future.
