David’s story begins in the quiet fields of Bethlehem.

While others looked for strength and appearance, God saw a faithful heart. David was a shepherd, caring for his father’s sheep, learning courage, patience, and trust in God in the ordinary moments of life.

When the prophet Samuel came to anoint a new king, David was not the one people expected. Yet God does not look at outward appearance, but at the heart.

As a young man, David showed trust in God when he faced Goliath, the giant who had filled Israel with fear. Armed not with armour or weapons of war, but with faith, David stepped forward and saw victory come through the power of God.

Though he would one day become king, David first learned to serve. His life reminds us that God often prepares people in hidden places before calling them to greater responsibilities.

This inspiring account shows how humility, courage, and faithfulness can be used by God as part of His greater purpose.
