Text:Numbers 23:19

-God cannot lie
-God cannot fail, he promised that instead of his word to pass away heaven and earth will pass away
*Isaiah 45:19
- God cannot be compared to anyone exo. 15 :11, Psalm. 113:5, Hebrew. 13:10
- God stands by his promises, today we are enjoined to be encouraged by the promises of God which doesn't fade at all (Isa. 40:8)
- His promises endureth forever 1pet. 1:25, Romans. 4:16- even those made to Abraham, 2 pet 3:4-15.
Conclusion: As Christians we ought to be firm and not staggered at God's promises, ROM. 4:20, let's be strong in the faith to obtain these promises, and with hope we shall attain these promises in Jesus name.

Theme: THE TIMELESS MANUAL(BIBLE)
Topic: Thematic Analysis
Text: Psalm 119:89- Forever, thy word is settled
Psalm 119:105- Thy word, a lamp to my feet
Psalm 119:160- They word is true from time past.
Proverbs 6:23- God's commandment a lamp, and his teaching a light.
1 peter 1:23-25- God's word endures forever.
INTRO: The Bible we own and posses today is the timeless manual God gave to us. It doesn't fade or change, no matter how long it stays. It is a different write-up a opposed to other man-made books which are constantly edited and reviewed, hence it being timeless (1 pet. 1:23).
- It proffers solutions to all life problems and situations, giving examples of people who have gone through such situations before in most cases.
- The timeless manual is the only book that gives us access to bliss in the afterlife.
Moreover, only SIN hinders us from the benefits of the timeless manual. Isaiah 59:1-2 relates sin and our ability to obey and utilize the timeless manual (Psalm 119:105)
- The timeless manual is the power of God into salvation (Romans 16:1)- it's saved all men including the chiefest of sinners. Consider David and Uriah's wife Bathsheba
- the timeless manual gives equal responsibilities to all believers male and female alike
Conclusion: By following the timeless manual, we shall have a fulfilled life on earth and a blissful one in the afterlife. Let's strive to obey the word of God to be saved at last in Jesus name. Amen.(John 17:17)

Text: Psalm 34:11-13-keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.
Prov. 13:3-your tongue can cause death
Prov. 21:23- guarding your tongue keeps you from trouble.
6 Diseases of the tongue
*Excessive talking- prov. 10:19.-many words attract sin.
Eccl. 5:1-2-hear more than talk rashly. James 3:18
*Idol or careless words- matt. 12:36, 5:37-let your yes be yes and your no be no.
*Gossip- Lev. 19:16-be straightforward not as a talebearer. Gossip betrays confidence between friends. Prov. 20:19-the talebearer reveals secrets. And it is not advisable to relate with such a person.
*Lying- prov. 6:16-19- the tongue accounts for 3 out of the 6 things God hates. Prov. 7:22-God delights in men who are truthful.
*Flattering- to praise insincerely- Psalm. 12:1-3- A person who flatters spreads a net for his feet. Prov. 29:5.
*Hastiness of speech- prov.29:20-there is more hope for a fool than a hasty speaker. Case study Moses striking the rock to bring forth water instead of speaking- num 20:7-12.
Conclusion: the tongue is a decisive member of a person which has the power of death and life. Using it well helps us eat the fruit of life- prov. 18:21.
