Some Insights from our current series on, Are you ready for Change"

2 Corinthians 13:5 ESV
Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

To examine yourself in the faith means to look at yourself through your faith in Christ, and not through your senses or experiences. When you examine yourself in the faith, you're not doing it to arrive at your own conclusion, no!

You examine yourself in the faith to arrive at God's conclusion which is Christ.

We examine ourselves to surrender. To surrender is to give up your opinions and ways for Christ.

Philippians 3:7-8 ESV
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. [8] Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.

If you examine yourself wrongly you will surrender wrongly. Many are not examining or seeing themselves through their faith in Christ, as a result they not surrendering to Christ, which is God’s order for their lives.

To surrender is to submit.

Christ is our life. To surrender to Him is to submit to His Life. We are save to surrender or submit to the Christ life. To submit to the Christ is to submit to will of God.

When you surrender or submit to the Christ life,

1. You Submit to Who you are in Christ. You submit to how God sees and calls you in Christ.

2.You Submit to the inner working of the indwelling Spirit.
