The Crisis of Trust in Marriage: A Word to the Church

Many men today struggle to trust the very women they call their wives.

Here is one painful reason why.👇

There is a paint chemical depot where I regularly purchase raw materials for paint production.
On several occasions, anytime my purchase reaches ₦100,000 - ₦200,000 and above, the owner’s wife requests that 30% of the payment be sent to her personal account.

In a private conversation, she further admitted:
_"When my husband gives me money to buy a bag of Mago rice, I purchase a cheaper product, repackage it in a Mago sack, and keep the balance. He will never know."_

This is the same business her husband depends on to sustain their family.

*This raises a critical question: Is she building the business, or destroying it?*

Sadly, this pattern is not isolated.
Many women receive ₦100,000 from their husbands for household provisions, spend ₦70,000, and quietly save ₦30,000 for themselves without disclosure.

*So I ask:*
1. Is this the kind of wife that builds a home? *Proverbs 14:1*
2. Is this the "favor" a man finds when he finds a wife? *Proverbs 18:22*
3. Is this the kind of spouse we should pray for?

It is unfortunate. *John 10:10* reminds us that _the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy_.
Yet *Proverbs 31:10-11* also reminds us that _a wife of noble character is rare and precious, and her husband has full confidence in her._

*Final Thought:*
Marriage is covenant, not commerce.
Homes and businesses built on secrecy, fraud, and dishonesty will not stand.
We must raise women of integrity who build, not break. And we must pray for discernment as men.

May God raise a generation of faithful, trustworthy spouses.

THE IDEA OF TITHE & OFFERING

The idea of tithes and offerings from the beginning was so that there would be meat in the house of God.

Malachi 3:10
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house..."

What was it for?
For the house of God → To support ministry, workers, and the running of God’s house so that nothing lacks.
Galatians 6:6 "Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor."
To help the needy → Deuteronomy 14:28-29 Part of the tithe was set aside every 3 years for the widow, orphan, and stranger.
To honor God first → Proverbs 3:9 "Honor the Lord with your firstfruits..."

The truth is this:
If we all stop paying tithes, it means we are choosing to leave the house of God without "meat".
No support for pastors, no outreach, no help for the poor, no missions.

God doesn’t need our money — Psalm 24:1 "The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it."
But He invites us to partner with Him.

Tithe is not a burden. It’s an honor.
And offering is our freewill love-gift on top of it.
2 Corinthians 9:7 "God loves a cheerful giver."
Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over..."

So the question is not, "Do I have to?"
The question is, "Do I want God’s house to have meat, and His people to be helped?"

May God give us understanding and a willing heart to give.
And may He bless and multiply back to us a million-fold.
Amen. 🙏

My Queenđź‘‘.

Today is not just your birthday. It’s a celebration of the day God gave me my greatest blessing.

Thank you for being more than a wife to me.
Thank you for being the mother of my child, the keeper of our home, and the peace in my storm.

You carry our home with grace.
You carry our child with love.
You carry me with prayer.

I may not say it enough, but I see your sacrifices. I see the nights you stay up, the meals you prepare, the prayers you whisper, and the strength you show even when you’re tired.

You are God’s gift to me and to our family.
My prayer for you today is: May the Lord bless you, keep you, and let His face shine upon you. May your new age bring joy, health, favor, and testimonies that will make you laugh.

I love you today, tomorrow, and forever.
Happy Birthday, My Queen👸.

How can a woman build her home?

A woman “builds her home” through the daily choices that create peace, love, and stability. It’s not just about the house structure - it’s about the atmosphere inside it.
1. *With wisdom and character*
*Proverbs 14:1* says: _"The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down."_
- *Wisdom* = knowing when to speak, when to stay quiet, how to solve problems calmly.
- *Self-control* = not letting anger, gossip, or pride ruin the family.

2. *By creating a peaceful atmosphere*
- *Speak life*: Encouragement > criticism. Words set the tone at home.
- *Manage conflict well*: Don’t let small issues become big wars. Listen first.
- *Keep the home orderly*: A clean, organized space reduces stress for everyone.

3. *Through love and service*
- Care for her husband and kids without keeping score.
- Notice what needs doing and do it without being asked.
- Make home feel safe emotionally - a place people want to return to.

4. *By managing resources well*
- Budget wisely, avoid waste, plan for the future.
- Proverbs 31 woman is praised for being hardworking and practical with money/food/time.

5. *By keeping God at the center*
A home built without God often feels empty. Prayer, shared values, and teaching kids right from wrong give the home a foundation that lasts.

When a woman starts disrespecting her husband, she’s about to tear down her home."*

Why it matters:?
Respect isn’t just politeness. In a marriage, it’s the foundation of trust and teamwork. When respect goes, a few things happen fast:

1. *Communication breaks down* – He stops opening up, she stops listening. Now you’re two people living under one roof, not one team.
2. *Resentment builds* – Small slights turn into bitterness, and bitterness eats at the relationship.
3. *Kids notice* – Children learn how marriage works by watching. Disrespect teaches them that’s normal.
4. *The home loses peace* – Proverbs 14:1 puts it bluntly: _“The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.”_

Disrespect often starts small: sarcasm, eye-rolling, dismissing his decisions, talking down to him in front of others. If it’s not checked, it tears down what took years to build.

That said, marriage is two-sided. Respect works best when it’s mutual - a husband also has to love and honor his wife.
