*TOPIC: THE SECRET OF GREATNESS*

_"So David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that He had exalted His kingdom for the sake of His people Israel." 2 Samuel 5:12._

*MESSAGE*
David, the man after God's own heart, a great psalmist, a battle axe in the hand of God. A great king of Israel who succeeded where others failed, who experienced being great in the Lord.

We can see in David's character and this is probably one of the reasons why God chose him. He knew that God had made him King. He did not take the credit for himself and he did not seek his own glory. He knew it was all God. He also understood that God had done it for the sake of His people. It wasn't for the sake of David that God had blessed His people, it was for the sake of Israel. David realised that it was not about him, not for his sake, not for his glory. It was just that God loves His people and wants to bless them.

Every child of God regardless of status needs to understand and remember this truth. If God is blessing you and your endeavours, and your success becomes glaring, it is not because of you or by your power, it is because God loves His people to manifest His greatness in them. Do not take the credit to yourself.

✍️ *ACTION POINT*
Don't take the glory over the doings of the Lord and His inheritance.

*TOPIC : A CLOUD OF WITNESSES*

_"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us" Hebrews 12:1._

*MESSAGE*
As Christians, we are set aside by God as a chosen generation whom He has called out of darkness into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9). This is not a hidden fact; the devil himself knows about it, likewise the saints triumphant who have gone before us to be in the presence of the Lord forever.

However, in addition to those, the people we co-exist with in our communities everyday, they also know us as people who are special to God. They also surround us as witnesses to this claim. They are the ones who are watching every action we take and every life pattern we adopt. Because of this, there are certain things that are expedient that we do. We must lay aside every weight and the sins that can cause us to fail.

It is a race of faith we are running and we must run to the end so as to receive the crown that God promised. The scripture makes it clear that we must abstain ourselves from all appearance of evil and to do this we must focus our attention towards Jesus Christ and other godly men and women of faith, like Paul, who had completed the race, as our models. In summary, we should note that since we are watched by a cloud of witnesses both on earth and in heaven, we must get serious so as to finish the race. We must lay aside everything that can stand as a stumbling block and may prevent us from finishing well. We must endure hardship by being focused on the goal, looking unto Jesus as our model.

✍️ *ACTION POINT*
Imagine the joy of a soccer team who won the trophy and consider also the plight of the loser. Then make a choice which group you want to belong to on the last day.

*TOPIC* : *DIVINE TRANSFORMATION*

"And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life." 2 Kings 25:29._

*MESSAGE*
The narrative in 2 Kings 25 introduces us to King Jehoiachin's remarkable story. For 37years, he bore the weight of prison garments—a prolonged period for a once-revered king. If you currently find yourself in a humble position compared to your past, take heart. Your story is on the brink of transformation in the name of Jesus. In a single day, King Jehoiachin's narrative shifted dramatically, his prison garments replaced by a royal decree. Consequently, he dined regularly before the King, breaking free from the ordinary and embracing a life where bread was continually set before him, accompanied by a perpetual allowance throughout his days. As you read this chapter, I pray that any symbolic prison or evil garments in your life will be substituted with the regal garments of divine favour in Jesus' name.

A parallel account of supernatural turnaround unfolds in Luke 5 with Peter, a seasoned fisherman. After a night of fruitless toil, the Master guided him to the exact spot where he should cast his net. In an instant, Peter's story transformed from frustration and emptiness to one of abundance and overwhelming joy. May your life witness breakthroughs that break every limitation and testimonies that leave mouths agape in Jesus' name.

✍️ *ACTION POINT*
Draw inspiration from King Jehoiachin and Peter as you pray for a manifestation of God's transformative power in your life.

*SCRIPTURE*
2nd Samuel 9:7;
Jeremiah 52:33;
Luke 5:1-7.

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Gracious Father, I thank You for Your promise to turn things around for my good.

2. I declare the removal of every prison garment from my life, replaced by the new garments of divine in the name of Jesus.

3. I declare that my season of emptiness and frustration is transformed into

*TOPIC* : *DIVINE VISITATION AND PREPARATION*

"And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation." Luke 19:44._

*MESSAGE*
There's a saying: *"success Happens When Opportunity Meets With Preparation* ." This holds true. The primary reason many miss the chances life presents is their lack of readiness. Few things are more agonising than being unprepared when the opportunity to progress or ascend arrives. Opportunities are frequently God's channels for blessing us practically.

This is akin to the lamentation of Jesus when Jerusalem failed to recognize its divine visitation (Luke 19:44). When their Messiah, Jesus, came and departed, they remained oblivious. They were unprepared for His visitation, despite the signs. The prophet Isaiah had clearly outlined what they would witness before the advent of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 40:3). John the Baptist appeared, fulfilling this sign, yet they missed Jesus because they were not ready. They failed to discern their season of divine visitation.

God desires to visit individuals, but many are unaware of the timing of their divine visitation due to their lack of preparation. Jesus mentioned that many are called, but few are chosen. The chosen ones, having received the initial call, prepare for their destiny. When opportunity arises, they are ready to step into their calling. May you be among them.

✍️ *ACTION POINT*
Identify the steps needed for your future preparation and start implementing them now.

*SCRIPTURE*
Isaiah 40:3;
Luke 19:42; 1:68,78;
Lamentations 1:8.

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Lord, I thank You for Your Word today.
2. Father, assist me in preparing for the opportunities You will bring my way this year in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, guide me to follow You more closely in the name of Jesus.
