ENSURE YOU DO NOT SUFFER IN VAIN
Scripture: I Thessalonians 2:2, 4
But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict.
But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.
All through David's life, he had walked a solitary life, being rejected by his own brothers until God remembered him. See, those who God chooses to be His prophets are always rejected by men and heavily persecuted. Check history: Elijah, Micah, Job, Paul, Khulman, etc. Why? Because Satan knows your calling, he knows your assignment, what you carry. So how can he possibly allow you have a smooth ride to undo his kingdom? Therefore he starts fighting you even from your own mother's belly to your immediate family and the world at large.
Your knowledge of this should make you undeterred, it should propel you to keep doing the will of the Father despite the persecution in your life. David encouraged himself in the LORD. Joseph never gave up, including Job, Paul kept preaching even when people pointed fingers at him calling him a murderer, the Samaritan woman kept preaching Jesus even when people called her a harlot, etc. So never fold up when everybody abandons you or accuses you. God, who knows and sees everything, said "He will never leave you, even if your mother that birthed you leaves you".
Who do you want to impress? Humans? who are like breath that fades away in no time, or your Maker? Allow people to judge you, when they are tired, they will surely go the way of all flesh. Only Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith matters.
My own family abandoned me years ago when I decided to leave our family religion of Jehovah's Witnesses and follow my Lord Jesus. I was tagged the "black sheep", an "osu" in my family. All my siblings and my mother cancelled me off their lives. We don't talk for months and even straight years. To them I have stopped existing. So when the devil came knocking via my ex-husband's persecution and false alleges, of course, I had no one to help me fight him, except my Father, God. People kept asking, where is her family people? Lol...I had none. Why? Because I decided to look unto the real Jesus and not the cult god of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
I came through because I knew I was a prophet of God. Like David, I encouraged myself in the Lord when everyone abandoned me to die. Today, I am alive and doing the will of my Father, shunning people's opinions and diverse mockers. If only they know that I don't even see them...lol. I see only the LORD.
Let God lead in your life. You came into this world alone and for sure you will leave alone. What will you tell God when you stand in front of Him at the judgement throne? That humans were laughing at you or mocking you, or that family is important, that was why you did not obey His calling upon your life? If your Creator and Lord, Jesus, was mocked, beaten and persecuted, who are you?
Begin now to damn human consequences and do the will of the Father.
SEE YOU WITH YOUR GOLDEN CROWN WHEN JESUS COMES FOR THE SAINTS.
