TOPIC: DON’T CHICKEN OUT, THERE IS A WAY OUT

TEXT: LUKE 8: 43-44 - And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood.

In our previous lesson, we learned that every challenge or difficulty has a time limit and will not last forever. In fact, 2 Corinthians 4:18 teaches that affliction is both light and temporary. This means that troubles are not meant to destroy or take your life; they have an appointed end. No matter the situation, there is always a way out and a season when it will come to an end.

Our text above speaks about a woman who suffered from an issue of blood for twelve long years. That was a very long period of suffering and pain. She had spent all she had, moving from one physician to another in search of healing, yet her condition remained unchanged. However, one day she chose to place her trust in Jesus and acted in faith. She reached out and touched the edge of His garment, and instantly her healing manifested.

Another example is the man in John 5:1–8 who had been crippled and suffered with an infirmity for thirty-eight years. That was an extremely long season to remain in such a condition. He told Jesus that he had no one to help him into the pool whenever the water was stirred. Perhaps that reflects your situation today—you may feel abandoned, with no one available to support or assist you. Yet, the moment he encountered Jesus, his story changed completely and he received total healing. In the same way, you may presently be facing challenges—whether spiritual, financial, marital, economic, psychological, or perhaps you are waiting on God for a divine visitation.

There is no situation too difficult for God to change or transform, as declared in Jeremiah 32:27; “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” God is Almighty, and with Him nothing is impossible. He has the power to do all things, and the only limits to His power are those He places upon Himself according to His will and purpose. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and He never becomes weak or weary. There is no such thing as impossibility with God, because no situation is beyond His ability to handle.

No matter the situation or challenge you may be facing, God is making a way out for you even now, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Don’t chicken out!

Prayer:

1. Father, I thank you, every affliction of the devil and his agents against my life is put to an end.

2. I receive renewed passion and fresh zeal to remain close to Your Word and to be firmly planted in Your house, serving faithfully and bringing glory to Your name, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TOPIC: DON’T CHICKEN OUT, THERE IS A WAY OUT

TEXT: LUKE 8:27-29

And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, WHICH HAD DEVILS LONG TIME, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. 29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness).

No matter how long you’ve been in that situation, there is always a way out. Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert”. God is able to bring something good out of your challenges. He can transform that mess into a miracle. God declares that something new is beginning to spring forth now. Hallelujah! He is making a way for you out of that wilderness experience. He is able to bring blessings out of what seems like an impossible situation.

Take heart, beloved of God! You have every reason to be encouraged because your challenge or problem will not last forever; that affliction—whether pain, suffering, discomfort, distress, or agony—is only temporary and for a season. The Bible calls it a light affliction; “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:18);

The Scripture describes it as a “light affliction,” meaning it is not too heavy for you to bear. You will not perish or be buried in it. You will not drown in that storm; by God’s grace, He will bring you safely through it. Hallelujah!

Every challenge or trial God allows to come your way will not overwhelm or destroy you. Others have faced similar situations and emerged with testimonies of victory. The God who remains faithful through every generation is bringing you out of that circumstance, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Further reading: 1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Prayer:

1. Father, I thank you for the new things you’ve begun in my life.

2. Father, you’re faithful to all generations and will ever be; I declare, you’re making a way to escape for me out of every challenge.

3. I receive grace to imbibe the right attitudes of faith, prayer, righteousness, love for you and for your kingdom, in Jesus name. Amen.

TOPIC: GOD RESPONDS WHEN WE TAKE ACTION 2

TEXT: James 1:22 - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

We shall continue from where we left off yesterday on the Word’s pathway to victory. God is a covenant-keeping God who always stands by His promises. He speaks with purpose and fulfills every word He declares. His faithfulness to His Word remains constant forever.

Another pathway to victory through God’s Word is taking personal responsibility. One major reason many people miss out on God’s precious promises is their failure to uphold the conditions of the covenant—the responsibilities God expects them to fulfill while trusting Him to perform His part. In every covenant, both God and man have roles to play. You have your responsibility, and God has His. Until your part is carried out, God is not obligated to act on His own part.

Beloved, God will not intervene or release His favor if we refuse to take the necessary first step. You play a vital role in determining the outcome of your life. Stop waiting endlessly for God—God is waiting for you to act. For instance, a student who desires admission into a university cannot gain it without sitting for the required examinations. Admission cannot be achieved through wishful thinking or prayer alone while neglecting the necessary process. There is a responsibility on your part if you desire to walk in victory. So, what is required of you?

What is that step you have long desired to take, the one you know deep within your spirit could change your life for the better if you acted on it? God is calling you to step beyond the fear of failure and move boldly into the success He has already prepared for you. You shall not fail in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Further reading:

Luke 11: 28

But he said, yea rather, blessed are they that hear the Word of God, and keep it.

Prayer:

-Father, thank you for your Word to me today.

-I declare this day, that I am led by the spirit of God to greater victories in Christ Jesus. My path is a shining light and I shine brighter and brighter.

-As I step out in faith, mountains are leveled for me, by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name. Amen.

TOPIC: GOD RESPONDS WHEN WE TAKE ACTION 1

TEXT: 2 Chronicles 20:22 - And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

Welcome to a new day! This is the day the Lord has made, and He calls us to rejoice and be glad in it. Why? Because He is already in control of every event of today, orchestrating all things to work together for our good. Hallelujah!

Today’s passage reveals that the children of Israel began to praise and bless the name of the Lord, in obedience to God’s instruction through Jehoshaphat, even after hearing the report that enemy nations were advancing against them for battle.

Beloved, this is the way we must confront situations in our lives if we desire to experience the victory the Lord has promised us. We are to look beyond what we see, hear, or feel, and handle every matter according to God’s Word, which stands above every report of man. God’s Word is the ultimate authority over our lives, and everything responds to the voice of His Word. You may ask, what are God’s ways to victory?

- It is to turn to high praise unto God, for He alone can step into any situation and fight on your behalf. Just as the Israelites praised God and their enemies turned against one another, that same God is able to change every situation when you engage Him through praise. As you deliberately and purposefully lift up praises to Him, I pray that all your enemies will be judged, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

- The way of the Word is the way of faith. It means believing God despite challenges and trusting that He is able to fulfill His Word regardless of the situation. Such faith produces a heart filled with praise toward God. A person who continually praises God can never remain downcast.

If we are to experience the victory God has promised us, we must choose to live and walk by faith rather than by what we see with our natural eyes.

Further reading:

Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Prayer:

-Father, thank you for your Word to me today.

-I praise you for the sure victory I have in Christ over all circumstances.

-This day, I declare that I am walking by faith and not by sight. I see all round victory, prosperity, favor, celebrations, joy unspeakable full of glory around me, in Jesus name. Amen.

TOPIC: NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR GOAL 2

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider
him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds (Hebrews 12:2 & 3).

Our Lord Jesus Christ looked beyond the agony of the cross—its pain, suffering, sacrifice, self-denial, rejection, and humiliation—with the purpose of restoring humanity back to God. He endured every hardship because of the greater purpose set before Him: the reconciliation of mankind with the Father.

This same quality was evident in the life of Joseph. At the age of seventeen, he began to experience harsh treatment and cruelty from his own brothers while still in his father’s house. Out of jealousy over the coat of many colours given to him by his father and the dreams that pointed to his future greatness, they conspired to kill him. Instead, they threw him into a pit and later sold him to the Ishmaelites for only twenty pieces of silver. He was eventually taken to Egypt and sold to Potiphar, one of Pharaoh’s officials.

Despite all these painful experiences—from the rejection in Jacob’s household to the trials in Potiphar’s house—Joseph continually looked beyond his circumstances and the suffering inflicted upon him. He endured the pain of betrayal, affliction, lies, and false accusations without allowing them to define his future. He refused to surrender his destiny to the enemy, compromise his faith, or embrace shortcuts to success that would bring riches accompanied by sorrow. Even when temptation came through Potiphar’s wife, Joseph stood firm in his convictions.

Throughout every trial, Joseph remained optimistic, focused, and steadfast. He maintained an attitude marked by joy, peace, gratitude, righteousness, and prayer. He refused to chicken out nor yield to bitterness, anxiety, or complaints, but consistently gave glory to God. This reflects a true Hallelujah lifestyle—one of unwavering faith and praise despite life’s challenges.

There are many reasons why you should rise above your present circumstances and make a firm decision never to compromise or disappoint God:

-Many people will find direction and inspiration through your light.

-Numerous destinies will be uplifted through your destiny, and many lives will experience joy as a result of your joy.

Further reading: 2 Corinthians 4: 16-17

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Prayer:

-Father, thank you for your Word to me today.

-Give me grace to look unto Jesus, my Mentor, Teacher, Pattern, Author and Finisher of my faith.

-Give me the power to focus on my dream and your glorious plan for my life; I refuse to compromise and to let go my faith.

-I command every affliction, delay and contention against my life, blessings and destiny to end now, in Jesus name. Amen.

TEXT: Hebrews 12:2 & 3 - Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Look beyond your present circumstances and keep your focus on your goal. When you concentrate on your purpose and refuse to be distracted or discouraged by your current situation, your strength and determination increase. Our main text says, “Look unto Jesus.” Why? Because He is our perfect example and role model. Though He was in the form of God, He did not cling to His divine privileges but humbled Himself, taking the position of a servant and coming to earth in human form. He looked beyond the cross—beyond the pain, suffering, sacrifice, self-denial, rejection, and insults, because of the joy and purpose ahead: reconciling humanity back to God.

When He understood that on the cross He would bear the sins of humanity, along with their sicknesses and diseases, He endured the pain and shame of being accused, condemned, and crucified as a criminal. He willingly suffered it all, died, and on the third day, He rose again from the dead.

We have been made alive together with Him and are seated with Him in heavenly places, far above all principalities and powers. Hallelujah!

I urge you to look beyond your present condition or circumstances and keep pressing toward greatness. This same attitude and character were clearly demonstrated in the life of Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:14 which says, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”. Refuse to surrender or trade your destiny to the devil, because whatever situation you may be facing right now is temporary, momentary, and has an expiration date according to 2 Corinthians 4:17: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”;

TOPIC: STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE IN YOUR WORK 3

TEXT: Mark 7:37 - And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well...

Looking back to what we said yesterday, your “work” can be understood as your business, enterprise, profession, occupation, trade, or any endeavor you are involved in. It is the means through which you make a living, and God desires that you distinguish yourself and achieve excellence in it. How?
We have been looking at “Strive for Excellence in your Work”- business, enterprise, profession, occupation, trade, or in any endeavor you are involved in. We have also looked at “How” to strive for excellence. Others are:

(E) Be disciplined in all aspects of life, especially with time: Discipline and good character are what sustain excellence, regardless of how intelligent a person may be. Treat your business with seriousness and professionalism—business should be treated as business, and business time should remain business time. Avoid mixing work with pleasure, as doing so can hinder productivity and success.

(F) Always give God the glory, for He is the invisible hand working behind your business and success: Recognize Him as the source of your strength, wisdom, opportunities, and achievements, acknowledging that every accomplishment is made possible through His grace. You should make God and His kingdom your number one priority in life. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”. Jesus also said in John 15:5 “…for without me ye can do nothing”. Maintain a strong and meaningful relationship with God, and ensure that it continues to grow daily.

Furthermore, any business or pursuit that distances you from God or weakens your commitment to church should be carefully reconsidered. Remain devoted to the church spiritually, financially, and in every other way possible. Be regular and active in fellowship, not merely as a church member, but as a true follower of Christ, because genuine followers are the ones He transforms and makes, as seen in Matthew 4:19. Moreso, do ensure you’ve a right and working relationship with your church and your man of God, to maintain a covenant covering of divine protection over your life, family and business (Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 3:13).)

In conclusion, you having the mind of Christ, is an added advantage, so strive for excellence in your business.

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…, Let all things be done decently and in order.

Prayer:

-Father, mold me into a person of discipline and strong character.

-I declare that all is well with my business, and according to Your Word, I shall enjoy the rewards and fruits of my labor, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

(C) Embracing new and emerging innovations: This is essential. If you fail to adapt to current trends and advancements, your customers or clients may move on without you. Change is inevitable, either you embrace it, or circumstances will force it upon you.

(D) Maintain the right attitude: Attitude reflects your character and the way you approach your business or profession. It plays a significant role in determining how far you can go. Essential values such as diligence, integrity, respect, and presenting yourself well through your appearance, communication, and the quality of your products or services should be part of your core principles. TOPIC: STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE IN YOUR WORK

TEXT: Mark 7:37 - And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well...

Your business refers to your enterprise, profession, occupation, trade, or any activity you engage in. It is what you do to earn a living, and God desires that you stand out and excel in it. Our main text reveals that Jesus did everything well, showing a life marked by excellence in His work. Excellence is the quality of being exceptionally good and striving to be the very best in whatever you do. It reflects greatness, remarkable performance, distinction above others, and a standard worthy of recognition and admiration. As stated in Philippians 2:5, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus”.

Since Christ is our role model, you need to be the best in whatever you do. How?

(A) Submitting yourself to training: Excellence requires continuous learning and growth. To become outstanding in your work or profession, you must be willing to undergo training, acquire new knowledge, develop skills, and remain teachable. Training sharpens your abilities, broadens your understanding, and equips you to perform better. Those who desire excellence never stop learning; they intentionally invest in personal development so they can improve and remain effective in what they do.

(B) Acquainting and familiarizing yourself with your type of business: To excel in any field, you must have a deep understanding of the work you do. This involves learning the principles, processes, challenges, and trends related to your profession or enterprise. Familiarizing yourself with your area of business gives you confidence, improves your competence, and helps you make informed decisions. When you know your work thoroughly, you become more effective, productive, and better positioned to stand out through excellence.

Having the mind of Christ gives you an added advantage; therefore, make it your goal to pursue excellence in your work and strive to be the very best in whatever you do. We shall continue tomorrow. God bless you.

TEXT: I Corinthians 15:57 & 58- But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

The latter part of the Scripture encourages us to continually excel in the work of the Lord. In other words, we are to grow, thrive, and remain fruitful in serving God. Sadly, many believers today have become discouraged and have withdrawn from serving Jesus. Some feel that because their expectations have not yet been fulfilled, God no longer cares about them. But be reminded that nothing can separate you from the love of Christ. If God gave His Son, Jesus, to die in your place on Calvary, then He has also made every provision available for you. Never let life’s circumstances weaken your passion and dedication for God’s house. Regardless of what you face, keep seeking fresh ways to deepen your commitment and service to Him, remembering that every labor done for the Lord carries eternal value and is never wasted.

Indeed, your Heavenly Father is the greatest Rewarder anyone could ever have. No earthly employer can reward like God because He gives blessings that money can never purchase. You can prove this for yourself by becoming actively involved in a service unit in your local church and serving Him with joy, consistency, and wholehearted devotion. Serve with humility, faithfulness, reverence, and honor for divine order and leadership, making kingdom service and commitment your highest priority above every other thing, even personal interests. Put your trust in God and remain steadfast in faith; you will never be disappointed. You do not have to wait long to begin seeing the impact of a life fully devoted to serving Him.

We will continue from where we stopped yesterday. Beloved, knowing that our victory is secured in Christ, the Bible encourages us to remain steadfast and immovable—standing firm and persistent even in the midst of difficulties. Never allow circumstances to shake your confidence in the Word of God. When you truly understand what God’s Word says about you, you can remain strong during challenges because you are assured that your victory in Christ is certain.
The Bible speaks about our father Abraham, who remained strong in faith and gave glory to God. He did not focus on the limitations of his old age or Sarah’s inability to conceive. Instead, he fixed his trust on God’s promise that he would become the father of many nations. Beloved, now is the time to be strong. Enough of discouragement, inconsistency, sleepless nights, and self-imposed anxiety. God takes no pleasure in those who shrink back. We are called to remain strong and unwavering in faith.

Further readings:

Romans 4: 18-21

Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:

Hebrews 10:38

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Prayer:

1 Father, I renew my confidence in your Word. I repent of every time I have ever doubted your Word for my life.

2 Today, I lose myself from every hold of discouragement, in Jesus name. Amen.
