God's Kingdom - Not religion, Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt (2026)

The whole duty of a man as the preacher said is to fear God and keep His commandments: but it has become a norm in the society, even in Christendom, that we struggle with these and at times we run into a conclusion that no one can actually keep fully the commandments of God and it is even preached and taught that the commandments are for the old testament and that Christ Jesus brought a new order as to the issues of the commandments of God.
Beloved, Our Lord Jesus came to earth bringing to our notice that the Commands of God can be fulfilled; He said I am come not to destroy the laws and the prophets but I am come to fulfill them. Matthew 5:17. This is Him performing the whole duty of a man as the preacher spoke in Ecclesiastes 12:13.
NOTES
1. It is we limiting the power of God in our life when we still believe and teach that men can't fulfill the laws and commands of God. If we believe that the promises of God can be fulfilled in us; then we must believe that the laws of God can be fulfilled in us.
2. Our Lord Jesus made it clear to us that all the laws and prophet hangs on two commands:
i. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
ii. Love your neighbor as yourself.
In other words, Love for God and Love for men fulfills the laws and commands.
3. We know that Love fulfills it all and we understand with Love is but then; how[not just when, to who, where] do we use it. This is where Wisdom comes into play, and it is said by the preacher again that "The fear of the LORD[owner] is the beginning of wisdom" - that means, having the consciousness and awareness that God owns you and sustain you, will always drive you into the right application of all knowledge and understanding. In other words, the consciousness ensures that you love[apply love in your dealings with God and men].

Psalm 37: 23-24 ” If the Lord delights in a man’s way, He makes his steps firm; though he stumbles, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” Brethren, fulfill your duty and the Lord will delight in your way.

THE MERCIES OF GOD THAT PARDONS MEN AND CLEANSE SIN

The issue of mercy must be examined with all seriousness. Previously, we hit a point which brought to our knowledge that the only thing God hates is an in-between decision: the reason He rejected King Saul, the reason He vowed that none of the persons that came from Egypt will enter into the promised land apart from Caleb and Joshua. Apostle James in his epistle wrote "He that lacked wisdom, let him ask from God who liberally giveth to all men", then he added an eye-opener "let him that ask, ask with faith; not wavering...… for let, not this man who asked wavering, thinks He will receive anything from God". James 1:5-7.
As much as we know that the Love of God is unconditional; as far as the father sees us, that Love is evoked. The mercies come with a condition; "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercies on'' Romans 9:15 - is not "I will have mercies upon all"; "the grace of God that brings salvation appears to all men" Titus 2:11 - is not "the grace of God that brings salvation is upon all men". Truth be told God verts the heart of men, whether their words correlate with their hearts. Brokenness is that condition that evokes mercies.
Beloved God is no respecter of any man but the Lord doesn't despise a broken and contrite heart: He honors it; as a matter of fact, that is the Sacrifice He accepts. True brokenness is:

When a man acknowledges that outside his source and sustainer he cannot make it and return to his source.
When a man's heart and mouth speak the same words "I've sinned against thee, and I'm no more worthy to be called thy son, MAKE ME a steward."
When a man can say this when he comes to himself and when he comes to the Father; even when the Father has hugged and kissed him. DON'T CHANGE YOU MIND and DON'T SAY ANYTHING ELSE. Don't lie wavering in between decisions.
For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness[right stand with the father]; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation[deliverance from the power of sin and death].

Believing and Confession of what?
Better still:
Believing and Confession of who?

Facts about the Love of Father[GOD]:
1. Whether or not we are in the Father or not, the Father still loves us; that Father did not forcefully compel us anything but lets us make decisions and also let us know that not all decisions we make are for our best interest.
2. He loves us to the point that He wants us to be intentional in our decisions.
- Acceptance. Our culture is defined by what we accept.
The more often we hear about new cultural, social, or moral ideas, the more accepting we become until eventually, it’s not new to us anymore. We have accepted it, and now it has become a cultural norm. That’s why we need to be always alert and ever careful to evaluate all the new ideas and philosophies that come down the line. Some of them may be fine. But many, perhaps most, will be contrary to the culture and values, and ideals of the Kingdom of Heaven. When this is the case, as Kingdom citizens we have the duty and responsibility to refuse to accept them.

3. The love of the Father is always being revealed. As time passes God is making sure that the understanding of men is lightened to the end that they come to understand that:
i. He never thought bad for them. Jeremiah 29:11
ii. His love is still available for them. Titus 2:11
iii. what they wanted, which they thought He could not give them, and in their search drew them away from Him; that He is not just able to give them that, but make them that. Philippians 4:19.

4. God's Love is what distinguishes us from others.
The reason the Father will keep those in His influence from reaching a point is that He doesn't want them to be classified with those outside His influence; as human classification is based on Relativity rather than Absoluteness - If success order of the world at a season is based on ritual; God will make it possible that the point of success you attain at that point will be very distinct from others; so as to ensure that does not categorize His glory in your life to be relative to the rituals.

4. God hates in-between decisions. Revelation 3:16-17 ensures that there will be spitting out of the lukewarm[in-between] decisions. Imagine what would have been the fate of the son if he did not say to his Father what he had decided to say while he came to himself; it will be him wavering in between decisions.

THE LOVE OF GOD THAT IS ALWAYS READY TO RECEIVE MEN BACK.

Reading through verse 17 to 20 of Luke 15; we are brought to other subjects called LOVE, BROKENNESS, MERCIES, RESTORATION, and MAKING.

Starting off today's discussion; we will go through the definitions of the above subject-terms and as well I will refer you to some resources at the end of the discussion to help broaden your understanding.

LOVE is the ashamedness and willingness to intentionally choose a person to be a [re]source of joy/pleasure; one whom you are passionate about, can sacrifice for and one whom you value and honor.
BROKENNESS is the acceptance that one can't stand and function alone; except being aided by another[Supreme].
MERCY is the response a person has or a state of being a person goes into due to LOVE; and as a result shows FORGIVENESS to a broken person.
RESTORATION is the act of giving back to a person what the person lost.
MAKING is the act of bringing into existence what isn't.
These definitions will be of more use in discussions to come

Knowing these definitions; It is now clear that when the younger son of the man came to himself and made a decision to go back to his Father and say to his Father that he has sinned against Heaven and Him, that he is no more worthy to be called the son of his Father but that the Father should make him one of His hired servant - what the son is doing is coming to a position of BROKENNESS and declaring DEPENDENCY on the Father. Note for as much as you have not acknowledged that you can't stand and function alone, and return to your true source and one who LOVES you truly then you are not yet broken and you aren't worthy for MERCIES, RESTORATION, and MAKING.

Note: Even when the son was outside the Father, the Love of the Father was still there for him. See how the LOVE moved the Father to do things culture doesn't permit fathers to do[gird up garment, run; especially to welcome a child, fall on the child's neck and kiss him] - even when the son has not made this confession to the Father. The only condition required for the Love of the Father to take place is; seeing His son.

The Question today is how often do we evoke the LOVE of the Father? How often do we visit the Fathers house?

THE LOVE OF THE FATHER[GOD ALMIGHTY]
Dangers outside and rejecting God's Kingdom...continuation.
Last week we saw from the book of Luke 15:11-17 the attitudes and consequences of a son outside the influence of his father; today is a continuation of that discussion.

4. He fails to understand that true maturity and responsibility lies with acknowledging and surrendering unashamedly to the influence, leadership and governing power/Authority of the Source[King/Father]. Only those that are blinded with the pride of I have arrived and up to date; will think that maturity and being responsible is one declaring independence from one's source. Consider the amount of responsibility and maturity coupled with humbleness it takes for one to let everyone know that he/she is wrong as relating to an idea or declaring their loyalty and dependence on another.

5. He lost his pre-existing authority. The moment the son steps outside the father, he differs not from servants. It took him not quit long before he truly start showing the nature of a slave; feeding from the husk of the swine. The moment Adam steps outside of Eden; the very Glory of God departed from him, that no creature obeyed him again.

6. He attracted bad circumstances and bad influences on himself. No one is ever truly independent; your independence from one is your dependence on another. And no two things are the same. When the son, Adam and everyone declares independence from our source[God and the Kingdom of His dear Son]; then we have declared dependence to the destroyer[Satan, religions and the Kingdom of darkness]. Outside the father; for the very first time the term scarcity and hunger was mentioned and added to the son. Influences that placed him in oppression, depression and lack came upon him because he declares himself independent from the father.

7. He declared himself to be lower than a slave. An heir as far as he differed not from a child[not mature and responsible] is not different from a slave; even if he be master of all. The irresponsibility and immaturity of the son draws him into a position where he eats what even his father's servants can eat. He became lower than even a servant. While Adam fell off from the Glory of God; humans became of the same kingdom with animals. And became one of the foods of animals that can be higher than man in the food chain.

8. He declares himself to be dependent on an authority that cannot and will not supply his needs. Remember that independence from one is dependence on another. The prodigal son even as many of us; have declared independence from our source[God and His will for us] and have depended on anything thing that do not glorify God through Jesus Christ: then we have chosen to dwell under a system of success which is not goodly/godly success and it is very detrimental to their life. Apostle Peter made it clear that there is a success which is detrimental to the soul and the health when he said - beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosper. The reality is that nothing can supply our needs except God.

Coming to a conclusion that outside God and the Kingdom of His First begotten; there is no fulfillment, dominion, fruitfulness, replenishing and subduing of the earth; but dangers and acts that only places the life of men in desolation.

THE LOVE OF THE FATHER[GOD ALMIGHTY]

Luke 15:11-32 speaks on one of Lord Jesus' teachings on the subjects, precepts and concepts of Dependency, Brokenness and Love and how they evoke; mercies/forgiveness; restoration/transformation; and making/life.

DANGERS OUTSIGE AND REJECTING GOD'S KINGDOM

Reading from 11 through to 17 brings to our knowing; the idea of Absolute and Shared/derived ownership. Absolute ownership declares one to be an independent possessor and owner of property, dominion and responsibility thereof - this means as one owns the property, one must have full dominion over the property and one must bear every responsibility that comes with and to it. Shared/derived ownership declares on to be a beneficiary in the chain of possessing and owning property, dominion and the responsibility thereof - this means that ownership of a property is distributed from a source to other persons and dominion over the property is distributed from that source and responsibilities that comes to and from the property is borne by everyone. Note: Absolute ownership goes with partial/no surrender or reliance. while Shared/derived ownership goes with Absolute/total surrender and reliance to the source.
For a period of time the sons of the man dwell under a shared/derived ownership as they place absolute reliance and surrender to the Father until the younger asked for independence from the Father and he became responsible of the properties and everything; and for sure what you aren't the source of, you don't have the power to sustain.

KEY POINTS BASED ON THE ATTITUDE OF THE YOUNGER SON AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS ACTIONS:
A total of 8 points, but we will be seeing 3 today and the other 5 next time.

1. He declared Independence from the source of all he has. Genesis 3:6. Independence is indeed good and pleasant and something to desire; even as the tree which God has instructed them not to eat from became good and pleasant to eat from; when the devil made Eve saw that eating from the tree will declare her independence from the knowledge of God and make her equal in knowledge to God. Declaration of independence from God and His Kingdom was what Adam and Eve strive for when they ate from the tree which God has ordered them not to eat from. And many are still walking in that way and part of independence from God and His kingdom by; debating of the laws[WORDS] of God[KING], deliberately disobeying the words of God and causing others to join them, rejecting the truth[Knowledge] and limiting the functioning of God in their lives by thinking that there is no God; not believing in the ONE TRUE GOD, going after idols, and making themselves or men take the position of God.

2. He declared himself an absolute owner. Genesis 3:4-5. The only reason anyone declares independence is because that person wants to be an absolute owner. The Devil succeeded in deceiving men that for them to be as gods is to declare independence from God; whereas God has already stated that He made man in His own image and after His likeness[just like Himself]; ie, I[God] am the Absolute owner and you[man] derive ownership from me and share that ownership.

3. He declared himself to be of No-surrendering nature. Genesis 3:12. Adam points fingers to God saying that if He didn't give him the woman, he wouldn't have eaten of the fruit. Hence he shows no remorse; even as the son did when he thought that the portion of goods that belongs to him is better off to be with him outside the influence of the father, than him utilizing them in the Father.

[GOD'S KINGDOM - the Introduction]
the kingdom; NOT A RELIGION 2
On the previous message, we got an introductory knowledge that explains to a level: the different between a religion and a kingdom; and how what God intended for us is a kingdom and not at all a religion.

Today we will start off by examining a definition of Kingdom given by Dr. Myles Munroe[a Kingdom preacher and teacher] - A Kingdom is not a democracy; it is not a religion and it is not a republic [or any system of governing where the people influences/change the laws]. A kingdom is the governing influence of a king over his territory; impacting it with his will, his purpose and his intent; producing a citizenry of people who express his culture and reflects his nature.
In this definition, we got to see first what a Kingdom isn't - any System that the members do not have the power to influence or change the law. This means; it is not a system or it doesn't produces a system, where members have influence over the law.
notes:
1. System is a means through which a thing is achieved or a medium followed to achieve a thing. Rather than Kingdom being a means to achieving something; it is a form - and every means want to achieve it.
2. Members are group of people that benefits from an organization because of the sacrifices they make to appease the governing body of the organization or because of the duty they perform to the organization . Whereas Citizens are persons that benefits because its their rights as citizens.
3.influence or change the law - this what truly differentiate a Kingdom as a form, from every system of governing/government.
i. In a kingdom, laws are made by the king and His words are the law.
ii. the word of the King is unchangeable and therefore opens no room for debate by any body.
iii. The word of the king[which is law] is and carries authority. And the word of the king is the king; disobey/disregard the kings word and you have disobey and disregard the King.
No system of government and religion operates on this basic but powerful ideas of a kingdom. Not even the religion called Christianity - as religious Christian leaders spend days debating on the Word of God[THE ANCIENT KING OF GLORY] and trying to bend it to their own taste.
Hence every religion is/was set up as a supposed[thought and proposed by men] means to achieve the KINGDOM OF GOD.

The KINGDOM OF GOD is the governing influence of a God[the KING of kings] over His territories[heaven, earth and beyond Philippians 2:9-10]; impacting it with His will[not willing that any should perish but all should come to repentance- A sure and firm stand. 2 Peter 3:9], His purpose[man be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth Gen 1:28; while Him(God) rules over the affairs of the heavens. Psalms 115:16] and his intent[making man in His own image, after His likeness; that He will rule the earth through man]; producing a citizenry of people[beneficiaries of God's promises and blessings by right of citizenship(sonship) Philippians 3:20] who express His culture[Righteousness] and reflects his nature[Glory].

On the above truth we come to know that what God gave to man from the beginning is a Kingdom and not a religion; as such we know that what man lost when man fell short of the Glory of God is the dominion and governing influence over the earth.
After man lost the dominion given to Him by God; man has ever since seek for ways/systems to gain back that dominion; whereas God made a promise that Himself will restore that Glory back.
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head and thou shall bruise his heel. Speaks of the the restoration of that dominion back to man. In every body the power/dominion lies with the head - hence the seed of the woman bruising the head of the serpent is; collecting back that dominion/power.
Isaiah 9:6 speaks of the birth of the messiah and adds a remarkable note to it - And the government shall be upon His shoulder. A clear and strong reason that it has and will always be a form of government[Kingdom] God has given to man; rather than religion.
Man have always run after systems of government and have now settle for religion; because:
i. Men do not believe in absolute truth.
ii. Men have rejected knowledge[truth] over and over again.
iii. Men have rejected God and His Righteousness.
Men not believing in absolute truth - this is the very first reason man lost the kingdom and the same reason why even as the Kingdom is here again; only few enters there in and fully experience and live the lifestyle of kingdom citizens.
Genesis 3:2-6 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat from every fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of garden, God hath said, Ye shall shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Even as God spoke to Adam and Eve; letting them know that they will die if they eat from the fruit in the midst of the garden. Men bought into the idea of no absolute truth[and they lived therein ever since] when they accepted that they will not surely die if they eat from the fruit in the midst of the garden; and they did eat of it.
Men rejecting knowledge[truth] over and over again - This is a major reason why men have not and still not see and enter into the Kingdom of God. My people perish because of lack of knowledge; you have rejected knowledge and as such I have rejected you. The lack of knowledge here is not scarcity of knowledge but men rejecting knowledge. And ye shall know[do] the truth and the truth shall set you free. Note that it is the knowing of the truth that sets free. now you know these; happy are ye when ye do them.
Men rejecting God and His Righteousness - Men again and again rejects knowledge, God and His righteousness; going after cunningly devised fables[religion], idol[men, activities and images] and unrighteousness[seeming comforting in sin, blasphemy, and disobedience]. 2 Chronicles 15:3 Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest and without law. God have always been here, the teaching priest[to teach of the kingdom of God and it's righteousness] have always been here, and the law[the word of the Lord] have always been here; but men turned away from these and have dwell in decadence.
2 Chronicles 15:4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, and He was found of them. The only way to the finding of the Lord God[the Ancient King of Glory], His Knowledges, Kingdom, Dominion and Righteousness; is to seek Him[His Kingdom and its righteousness] especially in this time of trouble[this dark times]. Our Lord Jesus best places it this way - Matthew 6:33 Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness; every other thing shall be added unto you. First He is letting us know that every thing we seek are what we are offered as addition when we seek and find the Kingdom of God; Also that the search for anything rather than the Kingdom is a search to sufficient evil.

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, "Repent: for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand" - NOTE: this is Christ Jesus' very first public announcement/preaching. Over and over again, He let men know that the Kingdom of heaven and the Dominion which man lost is back again and as such we have to repent[change our nature of thinking and approaches to life].
To fully understand this statement/preaching of our Lord Jesus Christ; we will have to examine many other teachings and preaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. A few to point out are; THE LOVE OF THE FATHER, THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS, WATER AND HOLY GHOST BAPTISM, FASTING AND PRAYER, DEFENCE AND OFFENCE SYSTEMS IN GOD'S KINGDOM, etc.

I pray that the Living God grants us grace and opening of eyes, ears and mind that we will have knowledge, understanding and the application thereof. Amen in Jesus name.

[GOD'S KINGDOM - the Introduction]
the kingdom; NOT A RELIGION
Starting off this discuss and for the purpose that we approach this topic from a stand point of understanding and enlightenment, I would like that we study the meaning, dealings and nature of operation of two concepts; A RELIGION and A KINGDOM.
RELIGION is the name given to the act of believing or the belief in and worship of a supreme and controlling power, especially a personal Gods or gods.
In other words its dealings has to do with a person or group of persons having the belief that there is a supreme and a controlling power over them and that power is a creator; and they worship that controlling power.
KINGDOM is a region or domain under the governing and ruling authority/power of a King. As a matter of facts, it is gotten from the proto-Germanic word kuningadomaz; having kuning[King] - meaning a monarch, lord or ruler not by election[either by conquering, by birth or by creation] and domaz[dominant] - meaning of a free spirit, loving adventure, change[not in context of personality, attribute or words but in context of expanding and trying out new ideas], loving freedom and expressing love and power. Hence any area or region a king is dominant over or have dominion over is called a Kingdom or KING-DOMAIN.
In other words a Kingdom must have the following; a King[by birth, conquering or creative right], a domain/region[territory, land and subjects], the dominion[power and authority of the king over his territory].
Though there are areas if not properly examined; might mis-concept and mis-represent kingdom to be a religion. We must have a clear understanding that the precept or idea of a religion is that the people must have that belief that their is an authority for that authority to be in existence - if the people cease to see that authority as being in existence then it stop being in existence. Note: this is not faith.
The very first opening of the Bible clears us that God existed even before any creature, man or people; hence whether or not men or creature believe that He is God, He will always be God.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Shows us that God is not God because men believed Him to be God, but that through Creative right; He is God. And we already know that by creative right He is also a King. Also it shows us that He created domains[regions] and the dwellers there in.
Genesis 1:3 And God said, "let there be light" and there was light. Shows us that He is exercising dominion[power to speak things into being].
This proves that God Almighty is a KING and have DOMAINS and DOMINION - A Kingdom precept.
Genesis 1:26-28 And God said, let us make man in our own image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping things that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, God said unto them, be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Notice that God made man in His very image and after His likeness[A KING] and gave man DOMINION over earth[A REGION]; for the purpose that man be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and rule/govern every other creature. Hence, God gave man a Kingdom from the beginning.
This means gives that God gives man a Kingdom for the purpose that we Dominate, be fruitful, we multiply and replenish and subdue the earth. This purposes we cannot fulfil under a religion.
The question now are: what happened that man now upholds religion and religious activities rather than Kingdom and its precepts[Righteousness]? And what can be done to bring man back to exercising that DOMINION and Living in this Kingdom again?
I pray that the Living God grants us grace and opening of eyes, ears and mind that we will have knowledge, understanding and the application thereof. Amen in Jesus name.
